At Day and Knight we manufacture, design, build and install bespoke quality furniture for your home including fitted wardrobes, Sliding wardrobes, Media/Display units, Home offices and Kitchens using only the highest quality materials.
Our tailor-made furniture is built with care, designed to maximise your space and suit your style, transform your home and gives you precisely what you need in terms of storage for all of your clothing and belongings.
Day and Knight is a small, family run business established in 2000 with our focus on quality and our personable and friendly service. We have a lifetime of skills and expertise that has been passed down generation to generation and are highly respected master craftsmen.

Jonathan was recommended and didn't disappoint. Courteous, accommodating and created exactly the wardrobes I wanted in a small room. I also had Ken fit a new kitchen for me. Again an excellent job with the work do e to a very high standard and able to accommodate last minute changes without complaint. Very happy with all the work done - now saving up for the rest! Cannot recommend them highly enough - and they left the house in an impeccable state.

Jonathan designed and fitted our superb new wardrobe with sliding oak and mirror doors. He also built and fitted two matching large bedside chests and a new headboard exactly to our specifications. Every aspect of the job was undertaken professionally - from the through and detailed survey through to the installation. I have no hesitation in recommending Day & Knight. They are a professional and competitive company which deliver what they promise. They did a fantastic job on our fitted wardrobe, very high standard of work and didn't mind re-visiting us to redo the design when we changed our minds on the colour scheme. Punctual, reliable and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend them and will be using them again for alcoves in the living room.

We had no hesitation in asking Day and Knight to come back a second time to work their magic (see review 7 March 2012). This time Jonathan and his team transformed 2 very tired, dated bedrooms by removing what laughably passed for 'fitted wardrobes' in 1970's! They removed the stud wall between the two rooms and Jonathan designed and built floor-to-ceiling wardrobes/cupboards and shelving, fitting back-to-back, so that both rooms had better storage space. It was all beautifully made and makes much more sensible use of the available space in each room. They dealt with everything that needed doing, electrics, plastering, decorating etc. as well as the built-in furniture. Everything was done in a prompt, efficient manner. They are a friendly, hard-working team to have around the house who achieve a very satisfactory result at a sensible price. I would recommend Day and Knight for all similar work and would certainly use them again.

I had a tricky, small bedroom which needed fitting. Following a difficult visit from a respected national company who told me they would only manage to fit one bed into the room, Jonathan and Charlie performed a miracle and my daughter now has a beautiful bedroom. Jonathan was a pleasure to deal with, very reliable and hugely creative with the space available to him. Everyone who visits is shocked by the amount of storage he has created - I would not hesitate to use him again. Many thanks!

Jonathan and Charlie put in fitted wardrobes and drawers into very awkward spaces in my flat and did a quality job of it (with quality materials). They were both very personable and even helped me with a few unrelated tasks like putting up pictures and advising on a couple of other general DIY issues. Jonathan quickly devised a storage scheme for 2 bedrooms and an office area where dimensions were tight. A year on we can confirm all our aspirations were met. The work carried out by him and his son was quick and tidy. The choices of style and finish were wide; the price was very fair, and the workmanship was excellent. What more could we ask for?

We have been very impressed with the professional approach shown by Jonathan Hope and his son. Our new wardrobes were designed and built to a high standard and completed within the time frame given. Supported by other colleagues, the old wardrobes were removed, plastering completed and fitting took place on consecutive days with minimal disruption. Everyone involved was punctual and tidy and they can be highly recommended.

He was a pleasure to deal with as he listened to our ideas and concerns that the new needed to compliment the existing units already in the room. He went to great lengths to match handles and paint colour. His company ethos for customer service is exceptional with great attention to detail. Day & Knight built a home office for me. As a wheelchair user, I required some very specific features to ensure that it would be user friendly. Jonathan Hope invested three hours on the first visit, to fully investigate and discuss my needs. Unlike others who quoted, he was able to offer non-standard features. He was open to all suggestions and requests. His can-do attitude meant that he could either supply what was requested or offer a solution as an alternative. Often these were improvements

Jonathan was a pleasure to deal with from design to completion. We also needed a new floor and ceiling, but that was all arranged and done by his team. Time keeping could not be faulted and the whole bedroom included wardrobes, chest of drawers, bedside tables, headboard and ottoman were of excellent quality and completed on time. We are very pleased with our new look and have already recommended him.
