Darrell has done work for me before. He’s professional and really knows his trade. He offers helpful advice and keeps you informed. On this occasion Darrell and Bradley fitted new electrical sockets. They arrived promptly and worked effectively and tidily to complete the job. I’m really pleased with the quality of the workmanship and the fair price charged. I’ve no hesitation in recommending DC Electrical.

Due to Covid regulations I was unable to help my mother set up her television in Bristol. This was complicated by delivery services refusing to set up anything under a 40 inch screen size. I contacted Daryl at DC Electrical services who was able to set up and explain the television to my mothers satisfaction and kept me informed throughout the process. Resulting in two very satisfied customers.

Absolute first-class service from beginning to end. Had new extractor fan, fitted oven hob and cooker hood, electric towel rail. All work was completed to a very high standard and finished within quoted time. We have used DC Electrics before and can't rate them highly enough.

The work involved the removal of an old earth leakage circuit breaker at the mains and installing a new double pole rcd and enclosure This was followed by the removal of an old cooker and installation of a new cooker. Darrell kept us informed at all stages and the work was carried out in an efficient and professional manner and to cost quoted. I would thoroughly recommend Darrell and will certainly contact him for any future electrical work

Darrell is a diligent professional that we would highly recommend. He carried out a full electrical survey of our property; located a fault; corrected it; retested and then when he was satisfied he issued the appropriate certificate. At a later date he also removed a number of light fittings replacing them with drop pendants in readiness for our house move. An experienced electrician who knows what he’s doing and tidies up when he’s finished. Highly recommend.

We are very pleased with the internal and external lighting work that Darrell has performed for us and we will be reaching out to him again for any future electrical work. He was clear what the work would entail beforehand, and during the course of the work he also identified and resolved a safety issue from a previous occupier. Darrell was a pleasure to deal with. He powered down our alarm system very efficiently and explained what we would need to do to put it back into action. His fee was very reasonable and, yes, he was punctual to the minute!

Darrell was subcontracted to finish a job started by a heating company from Cornwall. The boiler needed a power supply as it was positioned somewhere without any. Darrell surveyed the job, turned up exactly when he said he would, completed the job neatly, in good time and left the area exceptionally tidy and clear. Will definitely use Darrell again and recommend him to anyone.

My house alarm stopped working early one Saturday morning and I was unable to identify the problem. I called Darrell, who unfortunately due to other work was unable to come out straight away. He spent some time however talking me through the possible problems and giving clear instructions as to how I could stop the power warning bleeping from sounding continuously. When Darrell did come out the problem was resolved quickly. Darrell also gave me instructions about what to do if the same problem arose in the future. In the future should I need an electrician Darrell will be the first one I call.

Darrell did a superb job fitting new sockets and lights in my workshop. He was very friendly and professional and explained everything step by step. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. Excellent service, lovely chap.

Darrel wired in and tested a shower and carried out an electrical safety inspection of a workshop. From the outset his professional approach and in depth knowledge became apparent and instilled great confidence in his ability. Not only was the work carried out to a very high standard, but through his knowledge and integrity he actually went to the trouble of explaining that the level of work I requested was not necessary and saved me considerable expense. I can't recommend DC Electrical strongly enough.

Darrell and Bradley fitted a new consumer unit and some exterior lights. They were efficient, reliable and polite. Darrell went to great lengths to explain every aspect of the work. Inevitably there were teething problems with the new unit but they spared no effort in thoroughly checking and resolving all the issues. They were very helpful in advising and obtaining the exterior lights and other parts. I can recommend them without hesitation.

I asked Darrell to quote for quite a number of electrical works after moving into a new house: changing light fittings, adding sockets, installing a security light, replacing the fuse box etc. His quote was reasonable and he did everything entirely satisfactorily. Also a very pleasant guy, and extremely conscientious. He wouldn’t give up on a socket that was in an extremely hard to access place, and when the security light needed re-adjusting after he’d finished, he was round the very next morning - a Saturday - to sort it. It did take quite a while for him to be able to schedule in my work, as he was very booked up, but that’s a sign of someone being really good at their job!

Darrell really knows his stuff and goes above and beyond to do a job well. He makes sure to discuss and agree work clearly in advance and offers expert advice to help you decide. I used him last year to install a new fuse box, replace lights and sockets, and fix a malfunctioning alarm system - which on investigation required much more work than envisaged. Darrell took it in his stride and fixed it without to-do. I was so impressed I did not hesitate to call on him again recently to do more jobs for me - one of which he fixed after an impressive bit of problem-solving detective work. Darrell cares about doing a job well. He is also polite and friendly and makes sure he leaves the place clean and tidy. I wholeheartedly recommend him.

I rang Darrell last summer to request an electrical survey and report prior to exchanging contracts on our new home. He thoroughly explained everything in the report in language I could understand and wasn’t at all “pushy”. I decided to contact DC Electrical Services after reading the excellent reviews on Which Trusted Traders and would like to endorse all the positive comments made. Due to Covid-19, all communication until now has been via phone and email, with emails having been answered promptly. Darrell and his apprentice Jayden have now completed the necessary works. They clearly take pride in their work. They were a pleasure to have in the house - professional, friendly, neat and tidy and even cleaned up any resulting dust! I heartily recommend DC Electrical Services and wish I could give more than 5 stars.

DC Electrical services were recommended to me as we were in the process of completely refurbishing a house and this required a full re-wire. I can totally understand why Darryl and Jaydon of DC Electrical Services were recommended to me. I too would whole heartedly recommend them to anyone requiring very high quality electrical work. Over some quite considerable period of time Darryl and Jaydon turned up always as planned and agreed to carry out first fix and then second fix electrical re-wiring throughout the house - 3 bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, dining room and bathroom. Having agreed with Darryl what we required, he worked efficiently and very tidily through each room, with all work completed to both agreed schedule and budget. Darryl is very good at explaining what he is doing and why and helpful with his suggestions on matters I had not considered. Darrell and Jay ran electrical wiring from our house to our work shop at the bottom. He is very punctual and explained how he will run it. Both Darrell and Jay are such lovely, friendly people. This is second time we have used DC Electrical Services and we will certainly use them in the future for any further electrical work. Darrell installed outside electrics to my shed. Involved laying 50m armoured cable through my garden. When job was completed you wouldn't know they'd been. Whole installation neat tidy, tested, labelled and compliant with all regs and certified. Great attention to detail of what I wanted, useful advice. Clean, tidy and easy couple of workers to have around the place.

Darrell has done 3-4 jobs for me now and I have always been impressed with the service. He's always quick to reply, happy to discuss details or suggest alternatives and very good at organising to make the work happen around other tasks. He's installed a 3-phase meter box for me that had to happen on the same day as Octopus Energy and the National Grid and it changed last minute, no problem for Darrell and he came in and sorted it anyway. This is the third time Darrell has done work for me; clearly, I wouldn’t use him again if I weren’t happy with his work and pricing. This last job was a logistical challenge, upgrading the power supply from the consumer unit to the kitchen to support a range cooker. It needed someone with vision to see the best way to sort it out, and the job went without a hitch (except the cat going under the floorboards!) As well as having years of experience, Darrell is an easy company in the house while the work is undertaken. Highly recommended based on my experience.

Darrell came to look at what needed to be done and gave me a quote for all the work and labour. He came the day he said he would, I needed a spur for an alarm and two security lights, one replacement and a new one. He worked hard all day and made sure that each light worked as I wanted. I thought that the price was very reasonable considering the time it took and the effort he put into getting it just right. I will definitely use him again next time I need an electrician.
