What a lucky find. Very knowledgeable on all aspects of his trade. Darrell is both helpful and flexible in his approach to whatever project, large or small. He is very honest and completed all work to the proper regulation standards unlike my previous electrician. I can’t thank him enough for all the work he has done in our utility room. I have already passed on his details and would advise anyone looking for an electrician to talk to Darrell first. 5 stars all round!

Darrell responded to my enquiry quickly and was prompt in coming to look at the jobs I needed doing and to give me a price. He couldn’t do the job for a few weeks due to pressure of work, but was brilliant at keeping me informed about his progress and when he would be able to come to me. His friendly helpful manner instilled trust and the work he carried out was done efficiently, cleanly and tidily. Darrell was also happy to provide helpful advice. I’m really pleased with the work done and would recommend him highly.

Darrell fitted power and a strip light to my new garden shed. He gave me a quote for this work and some fault finding on lights to our outhouse. This was comparable to other quotes I had obtained. Darrell and his son arrived on time and carried out the work to a high standard. It looks and is a really good job and I am very pleased. Darrell is very pleasant and I will use his services again if I need an electrician. I will also recommend DC Electrical to friends and neighbours. Lyn who runs the office is very efficient and sent through a certificate for the work promptly.

Darrell and his team have just carried out two jobs for us, a full house rewire and an inspection followed by the necessary repairs and corrections for compliance on another house. He has done a great job for us and would fully recommend him.

When in the process of purchasing a property, electrical concerns were flagged in a Survey. I was extremely concerned and I contacted DC Electrical quoting the comments in the Survey report. Darrell first began with a phonecall, during the phonecall he was extremely thorough, asking several questions about the property. Darrell demonstrated exceptional knowledge and deteiled explanations during the phonecall. Whereas many electricians will do the work, Darrell took the time to give an understanding which in my situation was incredibly important. I made the decision to use DC Electrical for an EICR report. Darrell was a friendly, genuine guy. He did the job very well and was very considerate of the requirements for electrical use within the household. Whilst the EICR report is a document, Darrell also thoroughly explained everything verbally during after finishing the tests which provided a massive peace of mind. I honestly cannot recommend DC Electrical highly enough, very impressed.

We had a number of non-urgent tasks needing help with, from fitting new external lights and a weatherproof socket, to fixing an erratic doorbell and a light in a kitchen cabinet that had never worked. On quoting for the work, Darrell talked through the various issues and gave me confidence that he was a safe pair of hands. The quote came through quickly and I was kept informed about when he could get to us. Each job was completed neatly and effectively and he solved the kitchen cabinet light issue where other sparky's had failed. All done with a smile and enthusiasm too. A great job done, I'm delighted and I recommend DC Electrical highly.

We wanted lighting updated in hall/landing/porch, Darrell was able to advise positioning and number of lights in each area then provide a quote. Darrell and his apprentice carried out the work to a high standard arrived to start the work at the agreed time and the work was completed within the day left the hall, stairs and landing clean and tidy!

Darrell came and fitted 2 Ring alarms, Darrell did a fantastic job, he set up the zones and made sure the lights were lighting up the right areas. He showed us how to use it and made sure we were comfortable with using it. Darrell and his apprentice Layton were lovely, I felt extremely comfortable with them both and they were very friendly. I would definitely use them again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Downstairs ring main went dead. I called and had a chat with Darrell who went through things to see if there was anything I could do to rectify the fault on my own. I tried what he suggested and it confirmed there was a problem beyond me to fix. He turned up today as promised and fixed the problem with 20-30 minutes. Super polite and clear about the problem and the fix. Fair price for the call out and the job. I will definitely use DC again if needed.

Darrell recently installed a 3 phase meter box for me. It was planned well in advance to make sure all the right people turned up on the day and Darrell made sure he was ready to go first thing in the morning. He worked right through the afternoon to line up with the National Grid people installing the main cabling and it all went to plan. Good quality work and Darrell made sure I understood what needed to happen right the way through, thanks mate

I had a problem with the fuse board tripping at random and as a result John Lewis were unable to install a new oven until the problem was fixed. Darrell spent 3 hours meticulously checking the wiring/circuits and performing tests before reluctantly concluding that the fuse board needed replacing. Darrell and Jaiden then spent a day replacing the board and were thoroughly professional and a delight to have around – polite and cheerful but focused on their work. Darrell kept me informed on what needed doing and why, explaining in layman terms so I had a good understanding of what was going on. The invoice was exactly as quoted and considering he spent all day doing the work and 3 hours on a previous day diagnosing the fault, I consider his prices to be extremely competitive. I now have a bang up to date, tidily installed fuse board and yes, JL successfully installed my new oven with no electrical faults. Final point, Darrell will always make a point of immediately returning calls. I thoroughly recommend him and will definitely use D C Electrics for any future work.

Communication with Darrell was excellent from the initial enquiry to the completion of the job. He arrived on time on the arranged day, he was friendly, hard working and conscientious. He will be my go to electrician for future electrical work.

This is the second time I've employed Darrell to do work for me, installing LED down lighters. The work was done quickly, efficiently and to a high standard. With the added bonus that they cleaned up after themselves and patched the hole where the original light fitting was. Additionally they even marked the floorboards in the room above so I know where not to slice if I need to pull them up in future. While he was here for the first job (which was done to the same high standard as the second) he was happy to lend me his tools to do other jobs while he didn't need them and provided me with honest advice on whether I would be able to do some other small electrical jobs myself (wiring cooker hood and such like). I would definitely recommend Darrell to anyone in the area who needs electrical work doing.

We have had work done by Darrell previously and have been very impressed with both the excellent work and the care and consideration given to us and our home. My partner needed to have an electricity supply to his workshop in the garden, so Darrell was the obvious choice. He quoted for two possible options and discussed exactly what electrical items would be used. He then advised us that the least expensive option would be absolutely fine, he didn’t try to persuade us to spend more than was necessary. We found Darrell and his apprentice Jaiden a pleasure to have working at our house. They are pleasant and friendly, they work to a very high standard and clean up afterwards. Phone calls, emails and texts have always been answered promptly by Lyn. Highly recommended.

Darrell not only installed my Ring Doorbell seamlessly, but he also ensured it was connected to the app and was working effectively. Darrell was a pleasure to have at my home. Darrell installed new isolation switches in our kitchen. He was very good at explaining what we needed and why. And what we didn't need and why not. He gave us a quote in advance and that's what he charged. He managed to reschedule our job to get it done earlier, keeping us up to date by text. He worked efficiently and tidily and gave us exactly what we needed. I will definitely be calling him if I need any more electrical work carried out.

Darrell and Jaiden installed several electrical sockets, fitted some outside lights and fixed our TV to the wall. Darrell was very responsive via Whatsapp, always letting us know what time he was coming and was never late. Both did some really excellent work, perfectly finished and were a pleasure to have in the house.

We needed an EICR certificate for our property and after seeing the excellent reviews for DC Electricals we contacted Darrell and were not disappointed. Following the very thorough check, we were advised we needed a new Consumer unit as ours no longer met the building regulations and insurance for houses converted to flats. Darrell changed the unit and while at our flat, we asked if he could replace a bathroom shaver light and he tided cables and wires in the crawl space under our flat which he did perfectly. Darrell is extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy, reliable and professional. He also takes time to explain exactly what needs to be done and why. We would highly recommend DC Electricals and Darrell and we would not hesitate to use him in the future.
