DC Superior Finishes

We instructed DC Superior Finishes to decorate three bedrooms. We have an old Victorian house so this required them cutting out cracks in the walls, filling and sanding down, and painting the walls and ceilings. They also sanded down the sash windows, woodwork and doors and painted them. Their work was of an excellent standard, the painting is perfect and the rooms look fabulous. They were clean and tidy throughout, cleaning up thoroughly at the end of each day. They have been very easy to work with, so much so that we immediately instructed them on another job, to replace and restore our external window sills. Darren and Daniel are great to work with and come highly recommended.

DC Superior Finishes did extensive decorating and repairs at my property in Tufnell Park. They were fantastic, super helpful when finding that some of my windows had literally rotted and brickwork need repointing, at every turn they found solutions and engaged other experts if they needed to. They are very personable and hardworking offering the least expensive options where possible.

Darren and his brother have been redecorating for us after a loft conversion project. While they have a very busy schedule they've been really accomodating and were able to split the work into two parts so we could move into our new room as early as possible. Their preparation work is exemplary and they take the time to explain the process to the client and why each step is important. The actual painting phase is normally quick but without preparation is won't last. They've protected carpets, moved furniture and other items to protect them very effectively and always communicated well where necessary. I've really enjoyed working with this very professional but easy going outfit. I was recommended them by other clients of theirs in the area and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. They might not be the cheapest but if you want quality I can't recommend them enough.

We had arranged for DC Superior Finishes to refurbish our bathroom. Plumbers were working alongside DC to replace the bath, basin and toilet but discovered that the gas boiler needed replacement. So we went for a combi boiler which meant we could remove the old airing cupboard and hot water tank, making more space. DC was extremely adaptable and accommodated all the changed specification and requirements, even the additional work of taking down the old lath-and-plaster ceiling and putting up a new ceiling, plastering, tiling the floor and some walls, etc. We ended up with an excellent modern bathroom, far superior to what we had expected. Top praise for DC for being so resourceful!

I have been using DC Superior Finishes for about 20 years for both internal and external work. They are excellent. Darren, who runs the business, is meticulous in his approach, does work to a very high standard and very professionally, and he is totally reliable (I have given him the keys whenever he works including when I am on holiday). His work lasts a very long time as it's properly prepared and finished. Darren is also a lovely man, very concerned that he does a good job and discusses everything with me before and during his work. He is friendly and approachable and I highly recommend him and his company. Most recently DC did the interior woodwork for the whole house, including skirting boards, wardrobes etc. It was up to his usual high standard and I am delighted with the results.

Decorating hall stairs and landing of 3-floor Victorian terraced house, including some replastering of walls and ceilings (three of which had to be taken down). Stairs previously fully carpeted - decoration included preparing and painting edges of steps (for the first time in maybe 50 years!) for a runner to be fitted instead. The work was done to a high standard with great attention to detail and despite considerable dirt and dust being generated at various stages, Darren and his brother took great care to leave everything as clean and tidy as could reasonably be expected at the end of each working day.
