From the time we took in one of the chairs for a quote, we were impressed with the professional service. We were given clear time scales and when they arranged to both collect and return the chairs their timekeeping was excellent. We bought a very comfortable fireside chair secondhand which was showing its age. We took the chair in for an estimate and Mr Caplen was very helpful suggesting what type of material would suit the chair. The work was completed in about 3 weeks and we are extremely pleased with the finished results. Well worth the money!

They reupholstered 2 ancient armchairs which were much loved by my late husband. From the first visit to the final delivery, nothing was too much trouble. The ‘new’ chairs are outstanding and will certainly last and be admired for many years to come. It is quite rare to come across this high level of skill and professionalism and well worth the money spent. I would never use anyone else and would recommend them to anyone looking for high quality restoration.

My dog chewed a very visible part of our 4 year old sofa. We emailed to ask if just that piece could be reupholstered. Communication was quick and helpful. I had to order the matching material from Next and it was 8 weeks for delivery. Once I had it , I emailed and they collected my sofa within a week and it was returned within the following week. Fabulous. You cannot tell. Friendly respectful helpful.

Derek undertook a complete overhaul of our antique sofa. Great job, performed on time and to a very high quality.

Our suite sustained paint damage when remedial work to our lounge was carried out by a firm of Bournemouth decorators who were appointed by our landlord. We chose Dee Cee Upholstery to undertake the reupholstery of our entire suite and were delighted with the outcome. Those we dealt with were extremely helpful and the standard of the work was excellent. We would highly recommend this company and wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again if necessary.

Brought my mother-in-law (88) along to the shop to look at rise and recline chairs. She's purchased one previously from a TV-advertised company's catalogue and the quality of it was appalling – just flimsy and badly made. We were greeted at the door of Dee Cee Upholstery by a smiling and friendly Derek who took the time to show my mother-in-law the chairs and ensure she tried them out. The first choice was an instant hit – a superbly made chair that instantly put her old chair in the shade. She also has a wing-back chair that's 29 years old. She asked Derek if he could reupholster it on the strength of her experience in the shop. She's very pleased with the material and how helpful Derek was. and that chair will be could for another three decades now. I just can't recommend Dee Cee Upholstery enough. Simply brilliant.

We had been looking for some time for a company to refit our sofa cushions with new foam and also the back covers needed re-stuffing. We were reluctant to use an internet company and were pleased to find Dee-Cee from a review site and went to their premises based on feedback and their locality Throughout the process they have been very helpful and friendly and have delivered exactly what we wanted at a price that pretty much matched online quotes and to a speedy timescale. Our experience with them has left us feeling confident they would do a first class job on any kind of upholstering job

All three pieces of furniture (fireside chair, sofa cushions and footstool) were completed to a very professional standard and we are very happy with the result. This is our second experience with Dee Cee and we will certainly be back! Exceptional service from start to finish. Last time it was recovering a suite, this time two old Ercol chairs. We really appreciate the personal touch of a local family business. The quality of their craftsmanship is superb and we love their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile. Our suite is still going strong 12 years later and we expect these chairs to do the same. So we will be back…but it might be a while!

DeeCee recovered an office swivel chair in fabric I supplied in only a few days. They did a brilliant job and it wasn’t easy. Now the chair looks marvellous instead of shabby, and more comfortable as the stuffing in the seat was renewed. Having used DeeCee twice before, I would not go elsewhere. Recommended to me by a local relation years ago. Excellent, professional and friendly service. Highly recommend.

Very efficient: the chair was picked up on the day that I approached the company and it delivered back repaired a few days later. It was minimal effort from my side and the price was in the region that i expected.

Derek has done an amazing job reupholstering our vintage three piece suite. It is a complicated curved design with button backs, piping and studs which now looks stunning. Derek and Karen were both very helpful throughout. We were able to borrow samples to decide on colours and the suite was both collected and delivered - not an easy job either given the size of the four seater sofa, so kudos to all the DeeCee staff.

Having just had my wing chair reupholstered I asked Dee Cee to recover a stool to match the chair. Once again they did an excellent job the chair and stool matching one another perfectly.

We wanted new cushions and seat pads for our cherished sofa and went to Dee Cee upholstery for these. On visiting the store the service we got was fantastic and after discussion and advice from the lady in the store we ordered the cushion interiors and they were going to rewrap and change wadding on seat pads as the foam was okay. This was all arranged quickly and efficiently and we arranged to drop covers off so they could put them on the new interiors and the seat pads for us. They asked us to call back the following week to pick up the cushions and pads. During the week we damaged one off the seat pad covers in our washing machine so we called into Dee Cee and they said this was no problem and would put new matching materiel on seat pad and all would be available to collect as arranged within a few days. We called to collect on the Thursday and all was done as promised with new cushions and rewrapped, repaired seat pads which matched perfectly with our sofa. I would highly recommend Dee Cee upholstery for their great service and expertise.

Having brought 2 large sofas with 4 feather filled back cushions we were unhappy with the look, as after use they flopped down and needed constant attention to look like they had any substance. Having discussed this with Derek at Dee Cee he recommended a solution to remove feathers and replace with a high-quality cut to size and shaped foam. Work was carried out quickly ,professionally and the finished result was amazing (Happy Wife etc) The cost was better than expected and we will not hesitate to use Dee Cee in the future and recommend them to others .

I took 2 bar stools and a dressing table stool to Derek to be upholstered. Derek made me aware that the foam in the bar stools was no longer supportive and needed replacing. He provided me with a quote to reupholster the dressing table stool in a fabric of my choice and to replace the foam in the bar stools and reupholster in fabric I had already purchased. All 3 stools were finished to a high quality standard and Derek also fixed the loose foot rests on the bar stools. Derek's attention to detail has impressed me and I will be returning when I need any further chairs reupholstered.

Excellent service. We contacted Dee Cee by phone and then we sent photos of the suite by email asking for a guide price which we received within a couple of days. They did a home visit and sent us a firm quote. They collect the suite at the agreed time. They stored the completed suite until our decorating was complete. We are very pleased with the renewed suite and the advice and support we received from the staff. Thank you.

I wanted a rocking chair reupholstered, plus replacement of the seat cushion, and repair of the woodwork. Following phone contact, Derek made a home visit to assess and give quote. He brought his portfolio of qualifications and accolades as a Master Upholsterer. The job was completed before the new carpet was laid, but Dee Cee were happy to keep the chair until I was ready. The newly reupholstered chair was delivered this morning. It is beautiful. It is more than I had hoped for. Thank you for excellent service.

The caned back of this Victorian chair had been damaged. It has been completely recaned in the original style. The sprung seat has been reupholstered in a fabric of my choosing. The finished chair is neat, well finished and comfortable to sit in. This is the third item (2 of my own chairs and a large sofa that belongs to a friend) that I have had reupholstered here over several years. The work has always been done to a high standard and all the chairs are still in constant use . The work was completed in the time frame given and the cost was as the original quote. The team were friendly and happy to advise re the choose of fabric.
