We would like to introduce you to Dee Cee Upholstery and Interior’s World of Comfort.
Established in 1978, we are one of the South’s leading experts in Upholstery and Rise and Recline Mobility Chairs.
Partner in Dee Cee Upholstery, Derek Caplen, became the youngest master Upholsterer in the UK at the tender age of 21, and by the age of 43 he had become the youngest Fellow of the Association of Master Upholsterers for his outstanding contribution in training young people, and dedication to the A.M.U. and Soft Furnishers.
As suppliers of award winning, quality Rise and Recline Mobility Chairs, we are acknowledged experts, recommended by occupational therapists, physiotherapists and healthcare professionals, and are approved specialist suppliers to local councils and the NHS.
We have also won local and national awards for exceptional customer service.

My old arm chair needed a revamp and I went to Dee Cee upholstery as they local to me. I was really impressed with the personal service I received from Derek, he went through lots of books of fabrics even letting me borrow a book for a few days to check colour. We agree a price once I had chosen fabric and was given an idea of date for collection of the chair. Karen phoned me a few weeks later to arrange to collect the chair and she told me it would be 2 weeks for job to be carried out. True to her word she phoned me and we arranged delivery. I am so pleased with the service I received from start to finish. Not forgetting Jason who actually did the work. Fabulous! I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Hi Sue, thank you for your review with reference to r-upholster your old armchair. We picked -up your chair in Swathling and delivered it to our workshop. On stripping out your chair we found out that it was supplied by John Lewis and was a very good quality chair in need of a bit of T.L.C. The fabric that you chose to have your chair re-upholstered in was a very bright yellow chenille, when completed it looked stunning and looked even better in your lounge.

We supplied fire retardant upholstery foam ,our customer also bought fabric from our remnant room which cost half price or less . I explained how to apply spray adhesive and the best way to fix the fabric for his D.I.Y project .

We had four sofa cushions reupholstered by Dee Cee Upholstery and are very pleased with the work. The job was done with great care and attention to detail, and the foam quality used is excellent. I have been very pleased with the re-upholstery work completed on 2 inherited, traditional occasional chairs and 2 sofas. After the initial helpful advice, discussions and quotes, Dee Cee Upholstery were very efficient and the quality of work was of a very high standard. The cost of reupholstery was competitive, due to the original quality of the sofas, when compared to modern day equivalents. Derek and his team were friendly,kept in good contact and lent us chairs when the sofas were in their workshop.I have already recommended Dee Cee Upholstery to family and friends who have admired the results.The chairs and sofas look very good and will now be enjoyed and last for many more years to come.

I am so glad I found Dee Cee Upholstery, by asking on a village FB group if anyone knew of a good upholsterer. The service and kind reception when I came to visit was such a positive experience! It was only a small job; to dress buttons and fasten down on an old foot stool, and the job was done beautifully, swiftly and with great experience and care. I would happily recommend Dee Cees' to anyone requiring expertly carried out upholstery work - and I will be back! Have already recommended to two friends. Thank you Dee Cee!

Our customer who had recovered a stool herself ,but could not fit the buttons. We made up the buttons in her own fabric and fitted them to her stool top . We even made sure that the pattern on each one was different

We brought in an armchair made by my grandfather and in need of repair and recovering to fit the colours of our newly decorated front room. We chose the material and the work was done brilliantly. We were a little apprehensive whether it would be money well spent but we need not have worried and it is perfect and there is material left over for some new cushions. Thank you Derek. We were delighted to be given the opportunity to restore this very well-made antique occasional chair. The solid oak frame was as good as the day it was made. The seat was hand-sprung and in need of replacement. Whilst highly skilled workmanship does not come cheap your comment it was worth every penny was appreciated.

Our large wooden chair needed new foam inserts for seat, back and armrests. Dee Cee Upholstery took the job on and were helpful and pleasant. We were told it would take 2 weeks, which it did. The foam in the seat turned out to be too high for the armrests. This was dealt with straightforwardly and promptly. We are pleased with the result.

Our customer from Totton The Lyoyd Loom style chair was about 65 years old and in need of stripping down to base frame. It was re-upholstered up to the Calico lining stage before being recovered. To finish off the chair was complemented with braid trimming.
