We would like to introduce you to Dee Cee Upholstery and Interior’s World of Comfort.
Established in 1978, we are one of the South’s leading experts in Upholstery and Rise and Recline Mobility Chairs.
Partner in Dee Cee Upholstery, Derek Caplen, became the youngest master Upholsterer in the UK at the tender age of 21, and by the age of 43 he had become the youngest Fellow of the Association of Master Upholsterers for his outstanding contribution in training young people, and dedication to the A.M.U. and Soft Furnishers.
As suppliers of award winning, quality Rise and Recline Mobility Chairs, we are acknowledged experts, recommended by occupational therapists, physiotherapists and healthcare professionals, and are approved specialist suppliers to local councils and the NHS.
We have also won local and national awards for exceptional customer service.

Our customer from Bassett returned to us after 15 years when we last re-upholstered his chair. The check fabric that he had chosen was pattern matched to the delight of our customer. We also replaced the seat cushion interior giving his chair a new lease of life.

Our customer from Southampton had 4 chrome base dining chairs re-upholstered in a hard-wearing super soft vinyl. The seat were stripped to the base frames and replacement fire retardant foam was used. The chairs were covered in the same style. Thank you for your business.

Initially I wanted to re-cover an otherwise perfectly good bucket chair. In the end, I had the chair re-upholstered and re-covered as the difference in price wasn't that extortionate. Dee Cee picked up my enquiry promptly and were able to provide the various options open to me. They provided quotes for both a straight re-cover and a full re-upholster of the chair. I chose material from their stock range so I don't know how much more expensive it would have been had I asked about material not in their stock. The chair was collected and delivered at no additional cost. Dee Cee were professional throughout, kept me updated and kept to their original quote. I am very pleased with the finished product and from an environmental perspective, worth every penny.

Our customer from Shirley took my advice and had her bucket chair re-upholstered instead of just recovering it. By renovating the chair it saved it from going to “landfill”. We also fitted 4 x glides free of charge and applied free fabric anti stain protection . Again our customer states it was worth every penny.

I wanted my office chair repaired because the fabric and foam were completely coming apart, although mechanically, the chair was still working fine. When I obtained the quote from Derek, he said that I would find the chair better after the repair than when I first bought it; he was not wrong. The chair looks excellent, and Dee Cee upholstery has done a solid job. I also think that rather than throwing things out and buying new, we ought to mend and revamp as much as possible, to save the earth's resources.

The office chair was of very good quality and certainly needed some T.L.C. We stripped the chair seat down to the base frame. Also the arms were reupholstered. The material chosen was a red faux leather. By having the office chair restored it saves it from going to landfill and leaves our customer sitting comfortably.

From start to finish Dee Cee Upholstery were fantastic to deal with. My rocking chair had seen better days so I rang about repairing it. I was asked to send in a photo of my chair and quickly after Derek rang me, telling me what he could do and how much it would cost. He then emailed me all the details and arranged for my chair to be picked up the next day. I went to the shop to pick my fabric with the help of a lovely member of staff, and within a week, my chair was delivered back to me. I could not have been happier with the service, my lovely new chair, and the cost of the work. My 50-year-old rocking chair has a new lease of life and is so comfortable. It had a spring repaired, new padding, new cushion, and all covered in lovely fabric. Thank you all for a fabulous job. I wish every company were like Dee Cee Upholstery.

Over the moon, efficient, friendly, honest and trustworthy ! Sent photos and he came to take a look ! Was in dire need of a makeover, solid, heavy, awkward cuddle sofa ! Reupholstered fireside chair and loose drop-in seats

My much-used small fireside chair had a split in the fabric and had become saggy. Derek advised on how much new fabric I would require and what Martindale rating would be suitable. He has reupholstered and recovered it so it is now much more supportive. There was sufficient fabric left over to recover three loose drop-in chair seats, which are all matched with the pattern of the fabric. All the work was carried out to budget and I was kept fully informed. I am very pleased with the results.

The fire side chair and 3 drop in loose seat were about 65 years old. And in need of complete re-upholstery, not just recovery. They were stripped out to the bare frame and recovered in our customers own material. We added extra padding to the original seat spring cushion interior.
