To start with, Derwent windows do exactly what they say, which is a huge plus point these days. From the initial visit and measurements (on time) to the production schedule and the installation, they were even outside, ready to go at 0730. The installation team protected their area, removed the old windows and installed the new ones swiftly and efficiently; they even followed up with a courtesy call afterwards to check that everything was ok. I would highly recommend them.

We first used Derwent windows 20 years ago and they have recently replaced the windows we didn’t do 20 years ago. It is a very professional job from start to finish and the fitters were working in ridiculously high temperatures. They leave the place very clean and tidy and the windows look fantastic. Out 150yr old terraced house is out of level, out of plumb, and out of square. The fitters managed to navigate a difficult installation and make everything look really good. very nice guys as well, a pleasure to have in the house. We had high quality uPVC Harmony sash windows fitted. They were expensive but top drawer quality. They look like timber (embossed finish & narrow sections) and the curved 'London' sash lights fit in perfectly with the look of the terrace. Derwent rebuilt our wonky bay window, and went the extra mile to make the new windows fit into a very 'out of true' opening. Again the bay mimics the look of the other windows along the terrace despite being uPVC.

We wanted to replace the failing uPVC windows in our 1930s semi with timber-effect windows that would be more in keeping with the style and age of the house, as well as replace our uPVC front door with a composite one. Our searches led us to Derwent Windows and a trip to their showroom in Ripley, where we were provided with all the information we needed without any pressure selling. From the very beginning, everything was highly professional, from the quotation and initial careful measuring to the responsive, comprehensive emails and deposit protection, which really gave us confidence. We asked for changes to the original drawings, which were amended without any issue, and we also commissioned a small stained-glass window, the process for which was very smooth and resulted in a beautiful piece that makes me smile each time I walk past it! The fitters were fantastic, working long hours to install 8 windows and a composite front door with glazed arch surround in 3 days. They were friendly and courteous, and they took care to cover everything and tidy up afterwards. Shortly after installation, when we realised water was pooling under our door after heavy rain, they arranged for someone to come out and take a look, fixing the issue by adding in drainage holes (that should have been pre-drilled during manufacture), and they have said to call them if we experience any other issues with the door or windows in the future. I cannot recommend Derwent Windows highly enough.

We had four new external doors fitted. Derwent Windows staff were extremely helpful and professional at all stages of the process, from initial conversations in the showroom to the excellent work done by the two installers, and I have no hesitation in recommending them.
