He was easy to have around and communication was good. I have used Gary Elliott of Domino Plumbing for some years now to deal with various plumbing issues arising in my Putney flat which I let out to tenants. Gary is always quick to respond to a repair request. On this occasion, it was a leaky tap. He was bit longer than usual calling by this time, due to troubles with his van, but he came as soon as he could, arrived as promised, carried out the repair and left leaving no mess behind. He is a kind and polite contractor and a pleasure to deal with.

We live in a big old house and I joked with Gary that we had 5 loos only 1 of which actually worked properly - Gary came to fix two of the others and had to make multiple visits to get the jobs done but now we have 3 working loos - hooray! Although very busy Gary kindly fitted in his visits, during evenings and on a weekend, in order that we didn't have to wait months to get the work done. He's a very tidy/clean plumber and does a very good job. Costs are not cheap but that was not a surprise - my understanding is that his rates are typical of good plumbers today. I will happily call upon him again, if/when in need, and just hope he's available.

He had clever suggestions to improve our design and fitted all the plumbing and associated decorations beautifully, taking on board all the constraints we imposed. Gary was brilliant. Job was removal of an old bathroom suite and installation of a new one - on the third floor of a house. The new bathroom has been fitted to an incredible standard and looks excellent. Gary went into extra effort when tiling, pointing out that wall of the bathroom was slightly warped. I'm sure other traders wouldn't have put the extra effort in to ensure problems wouldn't arise in years following. In addition, he was very tidy, laid down dust mats each day and left the place like he'd never been there - except for the lovely new, sparkling clean bathroom!

My small bathroom needed complete refurbishment. I obtained three estimates for the job but I chose Gary because his estimate was slightly cheaper and I liked his straightforward manner. The job included replacing a bath, shower, vanity unit, mirrored cupboard, radiator, vent as well as tiling and painting. The old plumbing was a mess and he sorted that out as will as replacing some old floorboards. I supplied all the new fittings. Gary removed all the rubbish. Gary recently undertook a fairly large repair job to our en-suite bathroom. The shower tray had been fitted by a previous contractor and the tray cracked, meaning we had to remove the screen, tiles and floor. The shower screen is floor to ceiling, and extremely heavy, and the walls tiled in marble - so we wanted to be sure that we got someone who new what they were doing, not just a plumber. The quality of his work is first class, he's very laid back, polite, stuck to programme and left the work area spotless.

Water dripping through the ceiling is always a worry. Gary quickly identified the likely cause and fixed the leaking sink tap with minimal disruption to the fixtures in the bathroom. The work took about 2.5hrs and Gary came in the evening, after his full working day, to help me out. The toilet couldn't be used and I needed it fixed before several guests arrived for Christmas. It was complicated but he did a great job and I am so grateful that he gave up his evening to get this sorted for me before Christmas. I'd had a couple of plumbers out to look at this simple job only to be told that they wouldn't be able to fix it as it was an "installation error". contacted Gary who came out on the Monday, arrived when he said and fixed the problem for less than half what I'd already paid someone to just look at it and shake their head. Would definitely recommend Gary and I would use him again without hesitation.
