Doug and his team completed our kitchen and dining room renovation earlier this year. Not only were the kitchen designs excellent and perfectly suited to our brief, but Doug project managed the end to end job to deliver our dream kitchen too. This included the removal and creation of walls to create an open plan kitchen and build in a utility room, creating pocket doors into our living room, and creating a bespoke cooker hood to create something not available in the uk. I cannot recommend this entire Doug Farleigh team highly enough, as well as Doug’s extensive list of trade contacts who managed the plastering, coving, decorating, fitting, electrics and plumbing too!

I was introduced to Doug by my architects (VESP in Ashburton) as they had been impressed by him. Working with Doug has been a pleasure from start to finish and the end result is a beautiful high-end bespoke kitchen for my new house for little more than I'd expect to pay with a decent high street kitchen supplier. Doug's attention to detail is first rate and he was able to gently challenge me on a few of my initial decisions regarding the kitchen (e.g. choice of worktop) leading to a much better end-result. He also provided me with all sorts of sample finishes and took me to visit one of his worktop suppliers to view a wide selection of full slabs (I would strongly recommend this - it's very hard to get an accurate impression of how a worktop will look based on a just small sample) His showroom in Ashburton is well worth a visit as - even though it's small - he's managed to pack a wide range of examples in there!

Doug assisted us with the design and installation of our kitchen, utility, and boot room for our new house. The ideas he provided, the products supplied and quality of installation were perfect, and we would highly recommend him and his team.

We chose Doug Farleigh for our kitchen design and installation and couldn’t be happier with the final result. From the very first contact, we were so impressed by Doug and his team. His approach to the whole project was methodical and focussed on our specific needs and this remained the case throughout the whole project, with precision but also flexibility and tailored to our requests. The design process was incredibly detailed and the computer generated graphics made it exciting from the outset. The project ran very smoothly and on time according to the proposed timeline (impressive for a 6 week project). Doug Farleigh designed a really beautiful and for me a very practical kitchen. The schedule of work detailed the timing of work to be carried out and exactly what would be happening each day. I felt confident to leave them to get on with the job whilst I retreated to stay with my daughter and arrived home when all was completed to a lovely new kitchen which is so easy now for me to use. I’d never heard of Doug Farleigh Kitchens before I came across them online and read their reviews and I’m so glad I did. I wouldn’t bother getting any other quotes if I was you! My new kitchen is phenomenal and has far exceeded my expectations. I am absolutely thrilled with it. Some of their design ideas were pure genius, things I’d never have thought of and they did an amazing job fitting the kitchen around my existing Rayburn. It was a very smooth operation, closely overlooked by Doug with his impeccable eye for detail. The tradesmen he scheduled in were all absolutely lovely and a joy to have around. Their work was of the highest level, all outstanding and professional. I would definitely recommend Doug Farleigh Kitchens to anyone. I now have a truly exceptional kitchen beyond my wildest dreams.

We visited Doug Farleigh stylish kitchen showroom in Ashburton. Doug met us, with Harriet (who places orders & project manages the work) & Joe who designed the kitchen with Doug. They were all very friendly, professional and welcoming. Harriet organised for Doug & Joe to come to our home for 2 hours, to measure & design a fabulous kitchen. They took into account all our requirements & the style of kitchen we were looking for. Joe designed a marvellous shaker Aldana kitchen, & quartz worktops, with centre island, Siemens ovens, large induction hob, Quooker tap/cube system & dishwasher. We were delighted with how quickly they produced the design/quote, (sent to us with pictures to view). Once we gave the go ahead the kitchen was ordered, with updates and schedule given to us by Harriet very quickly, for fitting 6 weeks later. Doug, Joe and Harriet have always been very helpful, proactive with advice and ordering. Harriet has been in regular communication throughout all the planning, ordering & work, managing the trades doing the kitchen, (which was extensive, with removal of kitchen, flooring & redoing electrics/plumbing and fitting kitchen. Doug has an excellent fitter 'Rowan' and very good tradesmen. The schedule was always running to time and Harriet kept us well informed of what was happening. Good attention to detail. The kitchen is wonderful & small snagging items have been dealt with promptly by Harriet & Doug. We would definitely recommend Doug Farleigh kitchens.

As the title to this review says, Doug Farleigh Kitchens was outstanding throughout every stage, from the initial enquiry through to the design, to the installation and beyond. From the moment we set foot in Doug Farleighs wonderful shop in Ashburton to the completion of our dream kitchen, Doug’s attention to detail shone through time and time again. The whole choice & design stage was completely non-pressure, friendly, relaxed and with a lot of patience sprinkled on top! Harriet, the project manager then produced a complete calendar of works so we knew exactly what trades we had coming and when. She was always on the end of a phone or WhatsApp (even when off duty on occasions). There was just such a piece of mind which made the whole process so stress free. Doug is very hands on overseeing the installation, checking that the craftsmanship is to the highest standard, Doug is a perfectionist and it shows. The finer detail that he notices is so refreshing in this day and age. Nothing has ever been too much trouble, even when late changes were made. The aftercare has been exemplary too with Doug visiting more than once following completion to check we were happy with everything. Doug’s passion and his relentless energy for getting you absolutely everything you could possibly want out of a kitchen sets him above and beyond. We have no hesitation in recommending Doug Farleigh Kitchens to anyone looking for a quality kitchen with outstanding service throughout.

Doug Farleigh and his team designed and managed the build of a new kitchen. Everything was seamless from start to finish. Every member of the team was excellent - on the design side from Doug and Cathy who listened carefully to what we wanted and came up with a great design that really worked for us, Harriet on scheduling and sourcing of white goods and Rowan who was an ace kitchen installer. Doug also kept oversight over the whole process and communication was excellent. We are thrilled with our kitchen and it includes details which we would not have thought of ourselves, but which we now would not want to be without. We cannot recommend Doug and his team highly enough.

Doug Farleigh and his team were absolutely fantastic from the very beginning of our project right through to the end. They were a calm, confident presence, and always ready to answer any questions we had. Cathy's designs were superb and every detail was thought through. They offer great value for the high quality of their workmanship and I would strongly recommend them to anyone.

Doug and his skilled team redesigned our kitchen, utility and downstairs bathroom. This was very complicated and included having a new floor and underfloor heating put in. They moved the sink and dishwasher areas too and supported us with a temporary kitchen: there was some unexpected pipe work that needed hiding and came up with some nice cladding that actually really made the kitchen come together. Doug and the team were great with communication, and giving us solutions to unexpected challenges. His team also organised the whole team so that everyone knew where they needed to be when. The whole project took about eight weeks. They were a delight to have in the house.

An excellent company. The work involved creating a new kitchen whilst retaining some of the older Victorian features such as original cupboards, dresser, and fireplace. The end result looks fantastic; the new kitchen is crisp and light with plenty of worktop space and clever storage solutions. Their attention to detail, knowledge of all aspects of kitchen design and commitment to quality were faultless. From initial visit, through to completion, communication and project management were excellent with all queries answered quickly. This extended to their team of trades who turned up on time and delivered high quality results.

We chose Doug Farleigh from a long list of quotes because we felt that they showed all of the qualities we were looking for: professionalism, organisation, creativity in design, communication, scheduling and customer care. We were not disappointed. Our house is a 17th century cottage and has all of the delights and problems which come with that. We wanted a modern, light, kitchen which also maintained the character of the cottage. The initial design showed a complete understanding of that and then a willingness to listen and work with us to tweak it a bit to get exactly what we wanted. They worked with us and managed to fit in the work for a period when we were away from home to minimise disturbance. During the work, they kept us informed at all stages of the progress. The workmen - carpenter, electrician, plumber, decorator and tiler were all first class craftsman and very polite and pleasant people. Doug Farleigh himself took a personal interest and a professional pride in the work. He came and visited us several times before the work started, went with us to the worktop suppliers to advise on our choice and ensured that all the work was done to a high standard and that we were satisfied with all aspects before sending the final invoice. Kathy, the designer and Harriet, the office manager were both highly efficient and very skilled. We have a wonderful kitchen which has answered all of our needs and in which we love to spend time.

Our builder recommended Doug Farleigh Kitchens and we weren’t disappointed. Very helpful with the design but always happy to accommodate our suggestions. The finished kitchen was exactly as the same as the virtual images we were shown and small changes we made during fitting were no problem. Overall we were very satisfied with the process from start to finish.

First class workmanship special mention for Harriet's in the office for her organising and communication skills. All the workman treated our home with complete respect and were all a pleasure to meet. The whole job ran smoothly and on schedule.No hesitation in recommending this company to anyone. We had met with a few kitchen specialists who were not quite the right fit for us. Doug is in a different league and we quickly recognised that we would enjoy working with him and his colleagues best. Doug has heaps of hands on experience and knew precisely how to deliver what we had in mind. Together with designer Cathy, they produced and tweaked a plan that matched the way we envisaged using the kitchen. They also patiently gave practical and considered feedback on variables, including authoritatively checking appliance dimensions to helpfully guide us. Harriet co-ordinated efficiently to prepare a brisk schedule: one that proved resilient. She is admirably pro-active and perceptive, with a can-do attitude. Doug has a number of skilled contacts willing at relatively short notice to carry out all manner of related work. We particularly enjoyed working with personable and conscientious glazer Dave. The kitchen project progressed at pace and it was grand to see the new kitchen emerge. Throughout, the team were communicative, with helpful reminders from Harriet of forthcoming activity. The end result is a transformation with which we are delighted. Crisply aligned, sleek cupboards and drawers, in a practical arrangement - with the usable work surface maximised. We are delighted to have had the opportunity to work with Doug and colleagues - and are grateful to them for sharing their skills and knowledge.

Incredibly impressed from the initial consultation, through to the customer service, installation and quality of the units and worktop. All works were completed with the utmost professionalism. I've heard some horror stories from friends having issues with their own kitchen installs. The fact ours was completed without a single hitch is a testament to Doug and his team. We now have a fantastic new kitchen that has meet all of our requirements and even exceeded expectations. We looked at Magnet, Wickes, Howdens and Wren and just by chance discovered Doug Farley. In Newton Abbot he was local and responded to our enquiry really quickly and accommodated our requirements without any problem. Cathy produced some fantastic designs which were very impressive. Throughout the whole process Doug remained involved, and together with his team delivered an amazing result. He has assembled a first class team covering Electrics, plumbing, plastering, decorating, surfacing and fitting. All the team turned up on time, were courteous, efficient and thorough. They worked well together and Harriet his office coordinator delicately cajoled the team and the timetable, Doug ensured that the standards were maintained across the piece. The project is not the cheapest, but, we feel it has been excellent value for money and certainly cheaper than the two big suppliers. We are delighted with the results and know that should we experience teething problems, we have the ongoing full support of Doug and his team.

We first saw Doug’s work at a neighbour’s apartment and were so impressed: it made me lust for something similar! At every stage of the 5 week project we were well supported. We had a schedule and it all ran on time. Sufficient time had been built in for overruns but there were none. The tradesmen were all excellent. Communication was first class. Any queries we had were dealt with within hours, if not minutes. I think where I particularly valued Doug was the way he helped me through decisions. I am not good at visualising how something will look and this was a big spend for us so I felt it was important to end up with something that enhanced my home and my life. I need not have feared. Without making me feel as if he was trying to sell me anything, he talked me through options and advised on layout. He gently steered me towards a colour which I doubt I would have chosen but I love the result and he was right, it does look great. The brief was to optimise the space and make it easier for me to enjoy my kitchen as I love to cook. I am quite simply delighted with my new kitchen and have no reservations in recommending Doug Farleigh.

Doug Farleigh helped us remodel and design our wonderful new kitchen. His team of tradesmen are all expert in their profession, with exceptional skill sets. Despite some delivery setbacks including irreplaceable breakage to some floor tiles they all worked well together - electricians, plumbers, fitters, tilers and decorators. Kitchen was left neat and tidy at the end of each day no matter what stage of the build. We’d be happy to have any of them work for us again.

I found this company online and had no prior knowledge of them but from the first time I spoke to Doug until the all the work was completed it has been a great experience. Doug is very knowledgeable and provided some great ideas and tips for making the most of the new kitchen. All the people involved have been professional and friendly creating a sense of trust which is so important for such a personal room as the kitchen.
