DPP Plastering

This is the first time we used Del and we'd highly recommend him for future work. Our spare room needed a full re-plaster including boarding the ceiling. From the beginning Del was reliable and trustworthy, offering professional advice during an initial visit. He was punctual each morning, sticking to the schedule he'd outlined at the start. Derek is a friendly, highly skilled, and honest plaster whose work is exceptional. I cannot recommend him enough. We needed some difficult plastering work around the house because previous builders/roofers had done botched jobs. Initially, I was sceptical of the 5-star reviews and no photos (at the time of writing), but I could see common themes running through all the reviews left, so I decided to get a quote. Derek came around to give us a quote and spent a lot of time talking to us about how he would perform the work and any potential issues that could arise. We realised within a few minutes that he was the right person for the job; he had amazing attention to detail and was a perfectionist (two qualities you really want when traders work on your property). When Derek came round to do the work, he covered all flooring and furniture to avoid dust going everywhere and, after finishing each day, cleaned up after himself, leaving no mess behind. The quality of the finished job is exceptional. I could not find a single issue with his work; it is perfect and almost a shame to paint over! He is very honest; after he completed the job, he said the work was a little less than expected and charged us less than he originally quoted, which was a first for a tradesperson. Now that I have seen his work first-hand, I will never use another plaster other than Derek.

Overboarded a ceiling then skimmed it. Also skimmed a side wall. Very good finish. The job was done in the agreed timescale and on budget. Very clean and tidy during and after the work. Easy to contact and very responsive. Recommended.

This is the third time I have asked Del to work at my house. Del had previously boarded and plastered my dining room and living room ceilings, and I was delighted with the results. Del is clearly a highly skilled Plasterer, who completes work to a very high standard. My Hallway was in a very poor condition, and now it's been transformed! Del boarded and skimmed all the ceilings in my house. Del was prompt in coming out to view the job and sending over a quote. He started and finished the job on the exact dates he said he would, all work was done to a high-level of quality and he left the house very clean. Have hired Del for 2 jobs now, bedroom and bathroom, both rooms had the ceiling re-boarded, with walls skimmed/plastered. Also had soundproofing added to the party wall in the bathroom. Work has been carried out to a very high standard, beautiful finish, absolutely pleased, will be calling him back when I start renovating the kitchen. He’s easy to have around the house, shows up on time, works hard and cleans up all the mess at the end of each day. Highly recommend.

Del completed a job for us recently, preparing and plastering our entire hallway and landing (including some very awkward places to reach)! Del prepared the walls, carefully removing some old, very glued on wall covering before plastering. We had to interrupt the job due to an unexpected alteration to one of our doorways. Del worked with us and kept us informed to make sure we could get the job completed in a timely fashion. From beginning to end, Del was professional, friendly, very clean and tidy and punctual. He clearly knows his trade, did a fantastic job and was reasonably priced. Perfection is not too strong a word! We will be using Del again in the near future and have no hesitation in highly recommending Del.

Del was recommended to me by my plumber, he was prompt to return my call and came around on a Saturday morning to quote on some work, he provided me a professional quote quickly, he stuck to his timescales and work started as planned. The first thing he did was to lay down protective coverings throughout the work area and to the front door, at the end of the day these were packed away and the house was left in a clean state, he did this each day he was on site. Even when working outside he laid a cover over my driveway to maintain cleanliness. The job was finished on time and it looks excellent. Del sets the standards when it comes to professionalism, quality of work, and cleanliness. I would happily recommend DPP Plastering to anyone.

Derek put plenty of protection down, did a top quality job re-plastering two walls, and cleaned up after himself. He was organised and very friendly. His price for doing the work was competitive, but I gave him a bonus because he deserved it. I would have no hesitation recommending him for any plastering work.
