DPP Plastering

I recently had the pleasure of booking Derek, DDP Plastering to plaster my back bedroom, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. From the very beginning, he impressed me with his professionalism. He arrived on time for every appointment, and his communication was excellent throughout the project. Derek's work itself was truly exceptional. The finished walls and ceiling are flawless, a testament to his skill and attention to detail. He truly went above and beyond, offering valuable suggestions for how I could prepare the room beforehand, which saved me money in the long run. He also shared some creative ideas that I wouldn't have considered otherwise, which made the final result even better than I initially envisioned. Overall, I am thrilled with Derek's work and his approach. He is a true professional and a master of his craft. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a top-notch plasterer.

I have now used Dell Poll (DPP Plasering) twice, a complete room replaster (walls & ceiling) Oct 2023 and some fiddly making good of water damaged ceilings. Works in clean and tidy manner and leaves workplace spotless. 100% attention to detail - likes perfection. Would certainly recommend

Overboarded a ceiling then skimmed it. Also skimmed a side wall. Very good finish. The job was done in the agreed timescale and on budget. Very clean and tidy during and after the work. Easy to contact and very responsive. Recommended.

This is the third time I have asked Del to work at my house. Del had previously boarded and plastered my dining room and living room ceilings, and I was delighted with the results. Del is clearly a highly skilled Plasterer, who completes work to a very high standard. My Hallway was in a very poor condition, and now it's been transformed! Del is reliable, hard-working, and my house was exceptionally clean and tidy after he left each day. I highly recommend Del's work, and will definitely be having him back to work on my next room!

Del boarded and skimmed all the ceilings in my house. Del was prompt in coming out to view the job and sending over a quote. He started and finished the job on the exact dates he said he would, all work was done to a high-level of quality and he left the house very clean. The final bill was exactly what was set out in the quote. Del was very helpful throughout the process and answered all the questions I had about the work. Have hired Del for 2 jobs now, bedroom and bathroom, both rooms had the ceiling re-boarded, with walls skimmed/plastered. Also had soundproofing added to the party wall in the bathroom. Work has been carried out to a very high standard, beautiful finish, absolutely pleased, will be calling him back when I start renovating the kitchen. He’s easy to have around the house, shows up on time, works hard and cleans up all the mess at the end of each day. Highly recommend.

Del completed a job for us recently, preparing and plastering our entire hallway and landing (including some very awkward places to reach)! Del prepared the walls, carefully removing some old, very glued on wall covering before plastering. We had to interrupt the job due to an unexpected alteration to one of our doorways. Del worked with us and kept us informed to make sure we could get the job completed in a timely fashion. From beginning to end, Del was professional, friendly, very clean and tidy and punctual. He clearly knows his trade, did a fantastic job and was reasonably priced. Perfection is not too strong a word! We will be using Del again in the near future and have no hesitation in highly recommending Del.

Del was recommended to me by my plumber, he was prompt to return my call and came around on a Saturday morning to quote on some work, he provided me a professional quote quickly, he stuck to his timescales and work started as planned. The first thing he did was to lay down protective coverings throughout the work area and to the front door, at the end of the day these were packed away and the house was left in a clean state, he did this each day he was on site. Even when working outside he laid a cover over my driveway to maintain cleanliness. The job was finished on time and it looks excellent. Del sets the standards when it comes to professionalism, quality of work, and cleanliness. I would happily recommend DPP Plastering to anyone.

Derek did a lovely job. He was careful to protect our carpets, etc. and left everything really clean and tidy. He was punctual, friendly and hard working. Thoroughly recommend!

Derek put plenty of protection down, did a top quality job re-plastering two walls, and cleaned up after himself. He was organised and very friendly. His price for doing the work was competitive, but I gave him a bonus because he deserved it. I would have no hesitation recommending him for any plastering work.

Had Del in to re-board a ceiling and plaster and then skim over the walls. Very pleased with the work, great job done. Very clean and tidy when working and cleans up at the end of the day. Highly recommend for any plastering works.

...with Del's ceiling repair which involved re boarding and re plastering. He worked hard and his work was meticulous. He cleared up thoroughly afterwards which is unusual for a trades person nowadays. He also kept to his quote even when some additional work became necessary.

DPP Plastering is highly recommended. I have known this trader for a number of years and will always return to him for all my plastering work. He is very skilled, efficient , clean and tidy. All my dealings with him have been on schedule and on budget which is competitively priced. Above all he is a pleasure to have about the house.

A late review due to personal circumstances. However, Derek came and quoted for a small bedroom with not so great walls once paper was off. He advised the way to proceed and my wife and I did more than half the removal work prior to Derek coming in. He and his assistant then removed more after all. For 3 days they worked solidly getting things to a point where they could do the plastering, cleaning up each day afterwards. No time to spare and after all their efforts they made a great job of leaving the place looking really good for painting etc. Good workers, no trouble and happy that they did what they did. Not the cheapest maybe, but certainly someone who will be sure you understand the job.

Derek has plastered several rooms in our home now, small and large (ceilings boarded/plastered, walls skimmed) and the quality of his work is 10/10. He's an incredibly hard worker and the finish he produces is superb... flawless every-single-time. He's also the tidiest plasterer I've ever used - dust sheets everywhere (even these are 100% clean and look like new), cleans up at the end of every day and leaves no mess whatsoever when the job is completed. He even hosed down the path from my front door to his vehicle! Price-wise I always get multiple quotes and DPP is neither the cheapest nor the most expensive - he seems to price just right. If you've never used a plasterer before, or would like to try someone new I can honestly say you would not be taking any kind of risk using this very professional company. BIG RECOMMENDATION.

Derek completed two plastering jobs for us and took great care to produce an excellent quality finish. He discussed the work to be done and was very friendly. He finished the work meticulously which was important to me as one of the area to be plastered was just inside the front door. He left everything clean and tidy.

Derek did a superb job on our bedroom walls. He is a perfectionist and over 3 days worked 8 till 5, left a smooth, professional finish, protected wardrobe doors and contents and left absolutely no mess whatsoever - after he'd gone, you wouldn't have known he'd been with us. Great guy - a pleasure to have in the house. We will be knocking on his door again before too long, to get other rooms done. Highly recommended.

I found Del's details on Which? Trusted Trader and now wouldn't use any other plasterer. He has plastered two rooms for us so far (walls and ceilings) and we will be asking him to do others in due course. His standard of plastering is excellent, he is 100% reliable and is very clean and tidy (covering carpets, wiping down windows once the job is finished etc). His quotes and timescales are accurate and he offers very good advice about how best to do the job. I have found Del to be very hard working, polite and trustworthy and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

We had derek in to plaster our newly built office, party room and kitchen area in our Trampoline Park in Orpington. His work is brilliant and he must be the tidiest contractor we have come across. We asked Del to plaster a bedroom and he has done an excellent job. I had knocked old damaged plaster off to the bricks in some places. Del re-boarded the ceiling, repaired the damage and re-plastered the room. He took great care to cover carpets and clear up afterwards. I would definitely recommend him. He is punctual friendly and works very hard.

The plastering of our room was completed to the highest standard. Del is reliable, punctual and extremely personable. He protected our floors with clean dustsheets, clearing up at the end of each day and carefully wiping down the wooden stair-treads where dustsheets couldn’t be used. Job consisted of skimming walls and over-boarding ceiling and skimming of large downstairs room. Nothing extra to add that has not been said by other reviewers. But to bring reviews right up to date.. On time, complete protection laid to cover my flooring (wood parquet) minimum mess made and full clean up at the end of each day and to finish superb job done . Highly recommended without hesitation. I hired Del to skim some internal walls after they were sound-proofed. His work is excellent - all walls perfectly smooth and flat from floor to ceiling. He was punctual, very efficient and very personable. His services are reasonably priced given the quality of the work produced.

Before; flaky, water damaged ceiling. After; smooth, great finish, clean & no mess (really...no mess!) This is by far the best work we've had done in a long time. Derek is by far one of the best tradesmen I have used over the past 25 years. The house was left immaculate each evening and his attention to detail and the finish he produces is fantastic. Very polite friendly chap. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use him again
