Shortly before Christmas my mother discovered a wet patch on her carpet near a radiator, so we suspected leaking pipes under the floor - a concrete floor! Her usual plumber had retired, so I had to find a new plumber for her (which was more tricky as I live 60 miles away so didn’t know of any plumbers local to her) and used Which Trusted Traders to do so. I called Dan and explained that we weren’t sure what the problem was, and he was immediately helpful and went round to my mother’s the next day. As we suspected, there was a leak and Dan recommended a reworking of the entire piping system rather than the very invasive and messy work of digging up the floor and laying new pipes (which might need doing in other rooms too). He quoted a very reasonable price, and didn’t charge us for the visit to diagnose the problem. He then moved his schedule around so that he could fit in this job before Christmas because my mother is 92, living on her own, and needs reliable heating. He was totally professional, polite, considerate, and courteous when working at my mother’s house. He worked incredibly hard and extremely long hours (one day from 7am to 10pm!) to make sure she was never without heat and hot water overnight. Once the job was finished he popped back to check on her a few days later to make sure everything was still ok. That is, for me, definitely going above and beyond and I would recommend Dan without reservation.

I was in need of a plumber/heating engineer to service my Uncles boiler after he had been ripped off by a previous company the year before. I looked at Trusted Traders and found DW Plumbing & Heating Solutions, I made contact and spoke with Dan, from start to finish he has been polite and readily contactable at all times. He carried out the service that Saturday as he was fully booked up during the week. Unfortunately, he discovered that the flue on the ten year old boiler was split and not safe and contacted me to let me know. He could have replaced the flue although he wasn’t keen to do this on such an old boiler and I was in total agreement that the best option would be to get a new boiler. He explained that in light of the situation, he would work the following Saturday to carry out the fitting, but would firstly send me a quote, which promptly arrived on the Monday and was less than I had anticipated. Dan turned up at 7.30am on the Saturday morning and worked all through the day to get the boiler and heating working for my Uncle. He kept me fully apprised of the situation and my Uncle was very pleased with Dan himself and his work. It was a great relief to me to find such a tradesperson who I could trust in my Uncles property and who provided such a high level of workmanship. I am the Chairman of a not for profit property rental company in Malvern & one of the hardest parts of the job is finding good reliable tradespeople. Dan would be a first port of call.
