I was very happy with my boiler service, it was very thorough, excellent value for money and very professional. I cannot recommend DHS highly enough! The engineer was efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. DHS have been servicing my boiler for many years and I am very happy with them.

This was an annual service check on a boiler installed by this firm one year ago. A thorough check was done, the details of which were explained to me very carefully by an extremely courteous engineer. Greatly appreciated by me as a very elderly lady!

Replacement boiler that didn't cost the earth

DHS provided me with a written quotation to replace my aging boiler with a new, larger capacity Valiant unit. A bit of research suggested the price was right and upon acceptance, they were able to schedule my installation within a week. On the day of installation, the engineers arrived on time and cracked on with the job, working straight through to complete the installation with one day, which I thought was impressive. They set up the new 'Hive' system for me and showed me how to operate the boiler too. The engineers were polite and hard working and cleaned up after the work was done. Our house is so much warmer now I am pleased to have found a reputable local company. Oh, and they were significantly cheaper than British Gas!

Boiler services, fit toilet seat, replace mixer taps. Used DHS for ten years. Always introduce themselves, show ID and remove shoes before entering. Very fair prices, keep me informed of all prices and times of any ongoing work needed. Come out same day for emergencies. Very pleasant and professional tradesmen. Can't recommend highly enough. Perfect.

I could not not recommend DHS enough. From the moment I contacted them for the first time to the finish work they were professional, friendly, efficient and effective. Their communication was always fast and clear. All their Engineers and staff always took the time to explain whatever questions I had. They worked super hard and despite the challenges of a previous, very poorly, fitted flue system they put it right in the promised timescale with a very tidy and clean finish. Could not recommend it enough. Special thank you to Darren, Paul, Richard and Nathan.

Ian came to give the boiler its annual service. He arrived on time and completed the work efficiently and cleanly. He had a very pleasant manner, as did everyone at the office when I was arranging the appointment. I would definitely recommend this company - I've used them for several years, including installing the boiler.

Have used DHS for last few years and have always found them really reliable. The engineers turn up when they say they will. They are always friendly and polite and my impression is that they are very knowledgeable and professional about what they are doing. Which is essential when dealing with gas and wate This time around I was just using them, as I always do now, for our annual boiler service but I'll definitely consider them for future gas and water things. Ian who did our service this time was really professional and easy to chat to. Pricewise I can't 100% say how they compare to other companies as I don't use many other ones but they always seem reasonable to me. The people answering the phones are always friendly and helpful too with no dramas and easy to arrange things. Their customer service has been great for me.

Fairly busy up so had to book weeks ahead, no problem for a routine job. Office staff friendly and efficient on the phone. Ian (fitter) phoned ahead of arrival to meet for parking ticket, did the job swiftly and neatly, checked faulty reset switch and will sort a replacement and make an appointment to replace it. Received the full test report and invoice for quoted amount. Will definitely use again.

The team at DHS have refitted 2 bathrooms for us recently. The advice in the planning stages was really helpful and the standard of work was first class. Problems were solved very rapidly and without recourse to lots of phone calls. We have no hesitation in passing on out highest recommendation.

We have used DHS several times now and have always been very pleased with the work they have completed for us. I was very grateful on enquiring that they were prepared to fix a small bathroom job too. All the guys are reliable, professional and pleasant mannered. It was nice to see Adam again who has done work here before. I would never use another company and would highly recommend DHS to anyone.

I have used this company on several occasions and have found their work to be excellent and very cost effective, the employees are always well presented and friendly, you also don’t have to wait ages for an appointment, I can also say that they are dementia friendly as I have used them for work on my mothers house and left them with her and they have been exemplary. Good plumbers are hard to find and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

This involved the installation of three new radiators, one of which was somewhat tricky - not necessarily possible as it was into a formerly lean-to worshop now a utility room off the kitchen. The job was quickly booked, the men carried out the work in the time allotted, they made very little mess - consequently the cleaning up afterwards was a doddle! The price was reasonable. I have also used this company for some years for boiler services. Full marks.

I have been using this company for 15 years. They are a longstanding local business. They have regularly serviced and occasionally repaired or upgrade our gas heating system. They arrive on time, head office communicates well if they have had to change appointment. I have had helpful verbal advice from the engineers in the office when needed that has helped me resolve problems. The engineers are universally polite, knowledgeable and efficient. Each year I have an interesting discussion with the engineer not only about our system but also the up to date developments in alternative green and efficient ways of heating houses. I have a scientific background and the engineers know their stuff! When our boiler has broken down they respond quickly. I have never been overcharged. I am not easy to please.
