E & W Plumbing & Heating Ltd is a family-run business. We are GAS SAFE and OFTEC registered plumbing and heating engineers.
We are based in Didcot and proudly extend our expertise throughout Oxford and Oxfordshire.
We are a family run business that has been continually growing for more than 10 years through offering an unrivalled level of service and high standards of work. Started by Richard in 2011, E and W Plumbing and Heating has grown year on year and currently employs 13 full time staff. We are now one of the largest independent plumbing and heating companies in Oxfordshire with a wealth of knowledge about all things plumbing and heating related.

On this occasion, the task was to convert a gravity fed heating system to a pressurised one. The proprietor, Richard Gross, is not only a skilled heating engineer/plumber, who knows his trade inside-out, but many of us could learn a thing or two about management skills from him. He clearly employs only the best people to work for him, who also demonstrably hold to the same ethics as himself. My wife and I have always been impressed with the level of service we have receive from Richard over the years. Yesterday, one of his engineers, John, spent the day carrying out the work to convert our system, who also presented a high degree of professionalism, friendliness and was very helpful. A real credit to Richard's business. John, as with Richard and the rest of his team, did a first rate job and was careful to explain precisely what he had done and why. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending this company for all heating and plumbing needs. They are 100% trustworthy and we wouldn't use anyone else other than E And W Plumbing and Heating.

Installation of a new boiler is quite a significant expenditure to care about the service, value and the quality of workmanship. I don't usually leave 5-star reviews just for the sake of it, but I give 5 stars to E&W. From the quote to the installation, everyone was very professional and courteous. The work was done exactly as specified, in time and on budget. I am quite happy with the new boiler and how it was installed. Initially I was contemplating to go for a national brand, but now I am confident I've made a right choice to go local.

I have used E&W Plumbing several times now. The last job was challenging, as old, poorly installed pipework needed to be replaced. The plumber who came was brilliant. In spite of the difficulties he encountered, he remained highly professional throughout the twelve hours he was here, finally leaving at 9 pm and the job was completed the following morning. In all my contacts with E&W, I have been so impressed with their work ethic, politeness, knowledge and communication. The office is highly efficient, and appointments are booked amazingly quickly, even late at night. The quality of the work is second to none and the cost of the work is so reasonable. I will always use E&W from now on.

We had a problem with our boiler, so rang E & W Plumbing - they asked us to check a few things, which showed the problem was with our Calor Gas supply, not the boiler. We got new gas bottles delivered, then Richard at E & W Plumbing explained over the telephone how to get the boiler up and running again. So helpful, and all advice given totally free of charge. I can't recommend this company enough - all their staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. It would have been easy for a less scrupulous company to get two call-outs out of our problem, but E & W sorted us out over the phone and without charging us anything. Excellent service, would not use anyone else.

Our boiler broke down in the recent extremely cold weather. The engineer came within a couple of house and immediately knew what the problem was, ordered the new part and arranged a time, asap, to fit it. His colleague arrived as arranged and fixed it swiftly and efficiently. They are great guys, very happy to recommend them.

Contacted this company about an annual gas boiler and fire service. Their response was both prompt and efficient with a quote for the work and date agreed. Their customer communications by phone and email, before and after the service, we're also very good. Bradley, the engineer who came to service our gas boiler and fire was very pleasant, courteous, professionally efficient and helpful. I'll certainly be using E&W Plumbing and Heating again and would definitely recommend them.

We have now had two jobs done by this great firm, which was warmly recommended to us by a friend. Now we know why. They replaced bathroom basin taps and shower mixer tap, and then replaced the large heat exchanger on the boiler and fitted a filter. Both jobs were done on time and within budget. The plumbers were extremely courteous and considerate and left no mess. We intend to use this company exclusively in future and to recommend them to all our friends.

E and W Plumbing have undertaken three jobs for us. Each has been expedited to a high standard. They visited the site to assess the work, provided a quotation and arranged an engineer to undertake the work. The work was done as specified and in all instances to budget and on time. They have an assistant to answer telephone and email queries and to coordinate service visits which I found helpful. The MD undertook the first inspection to assess our requirements and diagnose issues, and three different engineers carried out the work subsequently, and in each case on the time and date appointed. Each of them was always friendly, courteous and informative. The work areas were left very clean in each instance and the work was done to a high standard. The invoices matched the quotation in each instance. I have been impressed with E and W's service and intend to continue to use them as required.

We used E and W Plumbing and Heating to install a new downstairs toilet and sink, fit some new radiators in a garage conversion and replace some old ones in the original house. Throughout the whole process the customer service was very good. The team were friendly, knowledgeable and professional and we were really pleased with the work they did and the communication in between. I would definitely recommend them and will be using them again in future.

Our kitchen developed a leak between the isolation tap and the feed to the header tank in the roof. My normal plumber was not available so I contacted E&W. Richard got back to me within 40 minutes, and arranged for a member of his team to visit. This showed that the leak was under the floor and a further visit was required. Throughout Richard was very responsive and easy to get hold of.

This was the Annual service of our Wiessmann Boiler - fitted by them in 2014. He arrived on time, fixed a problem with one of the electrical switches on the Hot water system and completed the service within an hour. We have always found their staff to be young, polite and confident.

Very nice and professional and said they could repair an enclosed toilet where others said they couldn't. However, I was charged a £75 call out, and quoted £238.54 to do the job. Therefore, over £300 to repair a toilet. I eventually found an excellent man to do it for £60! Maybe they are used to dealing with big contracts, but not recommended for small jobs.
