We asked Richard from E and W to take a radiator off a wall so we could have it re plastered and to fix a leaking toilet. We have used E and W plumbing several times over the years and always find them to be very reliable and have phoned them when other plumbers have let us down. As usual Richard was prompt and able to both sort the radiator and fix the toilet. He was also happy to give us some advice about long term plans for the house. I would always recommend both Richard and E and W from our experiences.

I'd struggled in the past to find plumbers that were able to work with LPG, so Richard and his team were a real find. I have used them for the past 3 years and they have all been reliable, courteous, friendly and prompt, with great communication. Highly recommended.

The engineer offered a range of options for my replacement kitchen taps. These were ordered and fitted within a few days. The work was completed quickly and efficiently. I would certainly use this company again.

I had contacted Richard from E & W Heating a few months ago as we were having some problems with our boiler and it seemed that a boiler replacement was imminent. An appointment was made with Richard to survey the boiler and installation and produce a quote. Richard was very thorough with the survey and highlighted any potential problems. The boiler finally gave up between Christmas and New Year and thankfully it was possible to fit us in for a new boiler early in the New Year. Gary and his assistant, Charmen(?) attended punctually to fit the new boiler. Gary was meticulous in explaining the procedures for fitting the boiler and any disruption that might occur. The boiler was in and running by mid afternoon with very little fuss. Any mess was cleared up as they progressed, leaving the house as they found it. They returned a few days later to complete the flush of the system. The service was professional and polite throughout and I would have no hesitation in recommending their services.

We recently had our boiler and radiators replaced by E & W Heating & Plumbing. From the initial contact, through to completion of works we received a very professional and friendly service. Due to the age of the house and the thickness of the stone walls this was a considerable job. However, Barry and his Apprentice carried out a very neat installation. The quality of workmanship was second to none and so too was their friendly attitude. Great care was taken to protect our house during the work and we were kept informed throughout the installation. We would not hesitate in recommending this company.

E&W Plumbing are now my first call for central heating work after they managed to sort out underflooring heating problems that two other companies had given up on. Recently they replaced a faulty actuator and the female team member who came was punctual, very knowledgeable, very efficient and pleasant. It's reassuring to know a business you can relay on, particularly if there is an emergency and they will make every effort to respond quickly.

This was a complex job involving work on 6 roof level water tanks which provided water to 3 blocks of flats. A total of 40 flats were affected. The work involved draining each rooftank, installing new stoptaps then labelling each stoptap to show which flats it turned off. So access was needed into each of the 40 flats to identify which stoptap turned off water to which cluster of flats. I was on site through the 3 days when E and W completed the work. The work was completed in an efficient, systematic and rigorous manner. Communication with me was excellent. And all three E and E staff conducted themselves in a very professional manner with occupants of the flats. I would certainly firmly recommend E and W for any small or large piece of work.

I have know and used the services of this company for around fourteen years, I have a rental property in Didcot and each year they carry out the boiler service and landlords certificate. On the rare occasion I have an issue at the property I know I can pick up the phone and speak with Richard direct to either sort the problem or provide invaluable advice and contacts. Over the first May Bank Holiday my tenant reported water dripping into the hall from the bathroom above, one quick call to Richard and the matter was dealt with. However, to eradicate the issue of leaking pipes, the hall ceiling had to come down so access could be gained to the bathroom pipes. A return visit was a greed with my tenant and the work carried out to her satisfaction plus the recommendation of a plasterer to carry out the remedial work. I now live in Cornwall so have to rely on traders I can trust and can contact in an emergency, this is never in doubt with E & W Plumbing. We are all going through challenging times financially, but E & W's prices are fair and competitive and I'm pleased to say Richard adopts a common sense approach to call-out charges over a Bank Holiday, for which, I am very grateful

Based on Which? and Google reviews, we booked in E&W Plumbing for an annual boiler service, experiencing a problem with hot water. The engineer performed the service as requested, but the hot water problem remained unresolved. Richard, the MD, reached out for a video call to further troubleshoot the issue and propose a solution. He followed this up with a personal visit to further clarify/agree next steps. As it happens, his visit, which involved some further troubleshooting, resolved the hot water issue, seems an airlock or contaminant in the system shifted. This was all 'part of the service' and we couldn't be more pleased with the personal approach and determination to resolve our issue, in a cost-conscious manner. E&W have been a fantastic company to work with for a new (quite complicated) boiler installation. From initial contact with the office, to site survey, and onto three days of work onsite, I can't fault the company's excellent service and professionalism. E&W came this morning to investigate two leaks in our bathroom. Both issues were resolved efficiently and promptly. I was particularly impressed that the plumber had every spare part that he needed with him!

My boiler had been having issues with the hot water supply, where it would cut-out on HW demand. An engineer came out to investigate and determined it was a combination of the heat exchanger and thermistor. Living in a hard water area, the tiny channels in the heat exchanger had clogged. I was provided with a quotation to do the work and a date arranged. Today the boiler was fixed and now have hot water available again. Each of the engineers who attented, for the service, fixing of the boiler and fitting a new kitchen tap, were highly professional and friendly. Lots of information was given as to what was what and the work that had been done. They don't do any unnecessary work and new parts are used only if the existing ones can't be fixed. The E&W Plumbing & Heating company ethics are clearly that of a family run business, who actually care about customer satisfaction and the desire for repeat buisness - which they will have from me for all future needs.
