An excellent, professional service. Knowing we wanted our kitchen fitted by Christmas, Ted and his workers went above and beyond, fitting their work around bigger jobs. We were always kept informed, by text and telephone, as to when they would turn up. When our ceramic sink was found to have a crack in it, Ted sourced a replacement as well as finding plinths which matched our cupboard doors. I would definitely use Ted and his team again for the quality of the finished work.

I needed someone reliable,efficient ,honest and approachable for the refurbishment of my flat in Dalston as I was not living near by. I was relying on a builder who had high standards in all areas , joinery, plumbing,electrical work etc. Ted provided all these requirements . Throughout Ted was always available to advice and discuss matters on the phone or by mail. Ted also organized scaffolding and coordinated the renovation of the exterior of the 3 story terrace, as well as repairs to the roof. All work was carried out on time ,on budget and to a very high standard. He made what could have been a difficult project very easy and I recommend him very highly.

Ted has done a great deal of work on our house over the past 18 months. He arranged for painters, plumber, pointers,roofer,rubbish removal and probably some I have forgotten. He himself has done considerable carpentry work in the house, building shelves and wardrobes, fixing doorknobs, putting in a fire door in the kitchen amongst other things. Clearly we would not have called on him over such a period of time where we not pleased with the work he did for us! We felt that he was better than fair with with his charges, and happily recommend him.

We hired Ted to lay a new floor throughout our flat (wood flooring and tiles), as well as building a new partition wall, changing a worktop, fitting new kitchen units/worktops and installing a new basin unit and heated towel rail in the bathroom. The work was done to a high standard and Ted and the team were very polite, clean and tidy. They worked while we were at work during the day and Ted came back in the evening when we needed to discuss progress/issues. Ted was helpful and understanding when issues arose and he found solutions we were happy with. Ted's original estimate of the time needed to complete the works proved accurate and we are very happy with the new floors and the new kitchen. We are generally happy with the decorating, although there are some small areas around sockets and skirting boards where the painting finish could have been better. We would recommend Ted.

Firstly, want to thank everyone who has taken the time to post reviews. We hired Ted in May 2013 to renovate our kitchen (not easy in an old building as no two corners/walls are straight) and he has done an excellent job. The whole kitchen was gutted, ceiling re-plastered, new gas boiler and hob connection, new flue for extraction unit, fitted units, appliances, wooden floor and wall tiles. Ted is reliable, honest, professional, courteous, helpful and above all he and all his team are all highly skilled. Definitely recommend Ted.

April 2013 we hired ETW to build a partition wall in our office. This was a 5m wall with 2 glass panel doors. Ted and team undertook the work extremely professionally and completed most of the heavy work on the weekend. This meant our office was not shut during the entire build. He went beyond the remit in sourcing a fuse which failed due to no fault of his. We are delighted with the work and deem it of the highest quality. The invoice was prompt and as quoted. We have no hesitation in recommending ETW - and will use them again where possible.

In June 2012, we hired ETW Building Services for three weeks for a series of renovations to our flat - from simple items like replastering nail holes to more involved tasks like reflooring our entire upstairs in wood. Ted was professional and organised from the beginning stages of quoting the job all the way through to its final completion. He was particularly helpful in advising and choosing the right materials for our specific taste and what would realistically work in the flat - even driving me to the lumber store at 7.30am before work so I could choose the right counter top colour. We added some projects along the way and Ted's assistance in accommodating these was great. We discussed daily the progress of the project which made us feel well informed and involved, and he was easily reached by phone at any time, day or evening, weekday or weekend. We also appreciated how Ted was so respectful of our home; he would arrive promptly every morning and cleaned up each evening before he left. He was prompt with invoicing, leaving no questions in regards to materials used or labour performed. All in all, Ted was exceptionally easy to work with and we would not hesitate to recommend his services or use him again for our future works.

Ted made an initial visit to the property and produced a well structured, professional quotation. This set the tone of my dealings with him and I would not hesitate to recommend Ted to others. He carried out an extensive refurb of my property (painting, servicing sash windows, building shelving and installing a new garden fence), drafting in other skilled and reliable tradesmen to do work that he wasn't able to. From start to finish, the project lasted three months, over which time I left Ted to come and go freely from the property whilst I was at work in the day. If necessary, he would meet me at the property at the weekend to discuss a specific aspect of the job. I liked his flexible approach and at the end of the job, when it came to "snagging", he did not shy away from re-doing some work where I wasn't happy with the overall quality. I would certainly employ him again.

I needed a carpenter to repair a door in my elderly father's house, and Ted did an excellent job. In the end the door needed replacing as it was too rotten at the base, and Ted had to make a completely new door. We are very pleased with the work he did, which was to a high standard. Ted also repaired some damaged boxing-in and plaster where damp had come in in a bedroom, and he did a very good job. He also has a good team of plasterers and decorators, so if you need more than one thing done, he can organise it for you. Ted was also very good at keeping me informed about how the work was going and any changes that needed to be made. I can highly recommend him.

had ted and his team round to price a job but he ended up changing things and giving advice which saved £££ fitted a solid oak floor re decorated internal and external fitted new kitchen and tilled floors took us to a granite supplier where we paid half the price for the work tops cleaned up after each days work I have recommended him to friends who have also been pleased. Good quality at a fair price.

Edward was recommended to me by a friend and I now can't speak highly enough of him. He designed and built a fantastic set of units in my living room and also laid my beautiful oak floor. All this was completed on time and with the minimum of upheavel. I returned home each evening and found my home as clean as i'd left it. I then had his team of painters come in and paint my new units and redecorate my living room to a very high standard. His workers were polite, punctual, clean and trustworthy - so much so that i then asked him to paint the exterior of my house with the same great results. Couldn't be happier and cant' recommend Edward enough. He has restored my faith in builders.
