East Yorkshire Solar were the most professional and knowledgeable responder to my enquiry for a small solar system. After an initial visit I was provided with a competitive quote which due to their obvious technical expertise was at ease with proceeding with. The installation was carried out as planned within a day, and left generating. A subsequent visit to modify the positioning of my initial requested panel orientation to that originally proposed by East Yorkshire Solar was quickly mutually agreed and promptly carried out ( My mistake - EYS were initially correct with their proposal) I have no hesitation in recommending East Yorkshire Solar Ltd for small or larger solar systems

After an initial discussion, Dene at East Yorkshire Solar proposed a solar panel, battery and EV charger solution that would meet my requirements and budget. Once agreed, the installation took place extremely quickly and efficiently causing minimum disruption. Both Dene and Dave took time to explain everything fully and ensure that I understood how to operate the new equipment including setting up the various apps and making sure that everything was working correctly. Communication throughout was excellent and this extended to resolving several minor issues which resulted in additional visits to make slight adjustments to the equipment and cabling. I am delighted with East Yorkshire Solar and cannot recommend them highly enough. What work did they do? They designed and installed a complete 9.1kW solar PV system on my property, featuring 20 high-quality panels, a Fox ESS hybrid inverter, and an 11.52kWh battery storage system. Schedule and budget? Their pricing was extremely competitive compared to other quotes, and they stuck to the budget with no hidden costs. The team was punctual, professional, and respectful throughout the installation. What made them stand out? From day one, they stood out because they didn’t just sell a "one-size-fits-all" package—they looked at the specific engineering needs relevant to me. Their ongoing communication was brilliant; they kept me informed at every stage, and their aftercare has been excellent. How they resolved challenges: When looking at my roof’s structural capacity, they re-engineered the ballast weight to sit perfectly within safety limits (as recommended by a structural survey). This involved some 'back and forth' with the design but they were patient and the problems were ironed out. I contacted East Yorkshire Solar as well as 2 other installers to get a quote for installation of solar panels and a battery. The response to my enquiry was very prompt and we discussed what was available and what we were looking to achieve with the installation, the quote came back quickly for 10 panels and a 5kW battery which was competitive with the other suppliers. I called EYS to discus changing to a 10kW battery which we agreed on. The guys came to the house to review the roof and location of the battery & inverter etc. Once the order was confirmed we were given a date for installation, the scaffolding was arranged by EYS, they were quick and polite coming the week before installation. Our installation date got pushed back a few days due to weather but we were kept informed all along. The panels and brackets etc were dropped off a couple of days prior to installation as we could store them securely and allow EYS just to use one vehicle on the day. Installation was complete within the day, very tidy/neat. Everything was explained including the app to control the battery charge/discharge. All packaging etc was removed. Overall a very professional yet friendly experience from first contact to post installation with relevant certificates provided. This instal was 6 months ago and everything has been working perfectly and more importantly we can confirm we are achieving the results hoped for.

We decided to fit solar panels to our house in late 2025 and carried out a detailed process in which we examined suppliers that were both national and local. We eventually narrowed down the shortlist to two - one of which was an energy supply company and the other of which was East Yorkshire Solar. The reasons why we chose EYS were many, but foremost was the ability to talk to an expert who guided us through the process and adapted the project so that we could maximise the number of panels and incorporate battery storage as well. At no time did we feel any pressure to buy and once we had agreed on the final specification the survey and then the scaffolding and fitting all took place very quickly and within the timescale that we had requested. Every single person that we had contact with throughout the entire process was truly excellent and highly knowledgable on their area of responsibility. The work was completed to a very high standard and was operational straight away. Because it all worked so seamlessly we didn’t have any need for follow-up post fitting, but it is comforting to know that it would be available in case of need. In summary, we are absolutely delighted with the system we had fitted by EYS and we would have absolutely no hesitation at all in recommending them to family and friends or indeed anyone else looking for a genuine, professional, honest and ethical supplier of solar power systems. It’s a jungle out there and you need to choose carefully!

Excellent service from our initial enquiry through to system design, installation and commissioning. Post installation East Yorkshire Solar has helped out whilst we familiarised ourselves with the App and the system. Designing a worthwhile scheme was challenging. The main part of our house (two storeys) dates back to the late 16th century with single story additions made in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Due to its architectural importance the aesthetics would be compromised if Solar PV Panels were added to the roof of the main building. Also, some of the outbuildings were not suitable for such an application, due to their size and unsuitability of their roof structures. However, East Yorkshire Solar came up with a satisfactory design at a competitive price in late February 2026. We felt that they had our interests at heart rather than trying to sell us the most profitable system. The installation was completed by 17th March. The installation team took great care and were a delight to have at our home. We would not hesitate to recommend East Yorkshire Solar to anyone looking for a solar installation.

Survey, site visit and quote process were straightforward and clear with no pressure or sales nonsense, just good honest prices based on our home and consumption. Choice of three quotations was efficiently composed with illustrations. Well-organised scaffolding caused no drama and the units were fitted exactly as planned. Fitters were knowledgeable, and the panels and battery have functioned well to date, already saving us £££ even during snowy weather due to the sun! The Foxx app is good in principle, showing you power being generated and used in real time. We look forward to its full functionality showing us £ back from the grid, having already received our first payment. East Yorkshire Solar is a Hull-based company offering friendly and down-to-earth service, and staff are always ready to answer the phone, which is unusual in an industry which has its share of cowboys. We are very pleased that we chose this company, having read a few reviews by people disappointed by other local and national providers. New build Bovis home with 4 built in solar panels. We requested another 8 but Bovis and the panel suppplier refused. Contacted several companys all of which declined except East Yorkshire. They removed the existing 4 panels an rebuilt the roof underneath them to fit 12 new panels with battery system. The results so far are that the energy company now owe us money due to our usage and feed in tarrif. EYS turned up on time, did not leave a mess and have answered every question we could think of. Highly Recommended

The East Yorkshire Solar installed my solar system early this year. The overall process (from initial quotes to final completion and certification) was done as agreed in due course. There were no confusions at any stage and overall work quality was great. Highly recommend them.

Had a full solar install, plus removal of 4 new build inset panels which were not doing a great job and were there just to tick the government build boxes, so this required the replacement of roof tiles as well. Everyone from the scaffolders to the roofers and the solar technicians were friendly and cheerful - despite the awfully muddy surroundings. The app and online system makes it easy to check what we are generating, and we will soon be moving to a power company where we can sell back to the grid now that we have the MCS certificate. Highly recommend East Yorkshire, the price was good, the service was great and the after service is prompt and efficient so far, with easy contact through text or email.

East Yorkshire Solar Ltd was recommended to me by a friend who has previously used them & had been impressed with their work & costs. I was not let down! Dave contacted me to discuss my requirements (battery & EV charger installation), he then emailed me a quote which was exceptional value so I accepted it & we agreed an installation date. There were no delays at any time & there were no additional or hidden costs, plus all the paperwork & applications for them to undertake the work were submitted on my behalf - meaning I had nothing to do! Dave & Dean arrived on time to undertake the work, they explained their installation plan to me & immediately started work. I was working from home whilst they did the installation & apart from an odd question about internet passwords & checking to see if they could turn the power off for 5 minutes (whilst they connected the new system) I didn't know they were there! I was told that the work would take a day to complete & they were finished ahead of time, they tidied up after themselves & even relocated my coat rack & fixed the loose hoover charging port! They showed me how to set the apps up on my phone so that I can track the battery storage & how my EV is charged; they made sure that they were working & that I fully understood it before they left. I have had a couple of queries with the apps since the installation & they were very helpful in ensuring that they answered all questions. I cant rate the company high enough - thank you!

East Yorkshire Solar always arrived when they said and were always available via phone or email to respond to queries or make arrangements. They made suggestions about the make of panel which would suit our partially shaded roof and fully understood the need to be careful with our rosemary tiles using bespoke footings which integrated with the tiles and engaging a roofer who was always available to help with any work needed. They dealt with all paperwork very efficiently which was important to us. We'd had two aborted attempts with other companies who quoted similar figures, but just didn't grasp the difficulties of an older period property and got cold feet at the survey stage. East Yorkshire Solar were ideal with their mix of accessible customer service, organisation, efficiency, knowledge, expertise and flexibility. The end result is an installation which is working brilliantly and looks great. We have no hesitation in recommending this company.

I contacted several companies in the hope that they could come out and check that the solar panels on our home were working as we had recently moved in and had no information on the system. Dave responded really quickly to my enquiry, this was the only company to actually respond to me. After sending a few photos over email Dave was able to determine that the solar panel system we had was working correctly and gave me some advice on how to keep monitoring it. He did this in his own time and saved me paying for a call-out, I am really happy with the advice I was given. Brilliant knowledge and are really pleasant people to deal with, I highly recommend.
