I had solar panels fitted in 2013 without cost by a firm that I believe no longer offers this service called A Shade Greener. The deal was that my panels would provide energy for the National Grid and my electricity bills would be reduced. To cut a long story short my bills were reduced but after an enforced change of meter I did not appear to be receiving any benefits from the panels. A number of firms recently made contact offering panel services and I agreed to Effective Homes installing a battery which they said would reduce my bills again. The work was carried out very satisfactorily (I have some knowledge of electrical installation work) and I would highly recommend the electrical contractors concerned - I understand they they are not employees of Effective Homes. Apart from phone conversations I have had no direct contact with anyone from the latter organisation but can say that I have no complaints about the way they have handled the work. Initially the battery appeared to work very efficiently but Then stopped. I contacted the firm and after some delay the Electrical Contractor contacted me and said it was down to the App which he adjusted. I will have an electric bill shortly which should indicate if the problem is resolved - but I probably won't know for sure until I get a full months use with the new App settings.

I was recommended to Effective Homes by British Gas. From start to finish I was very impressed with their professionalism. A survey was carried out, I was given what I thought a very comprehensive explanation and a very good quote. I was surprised just how quickly they were able to start and begin work.the two installers arrived the day before just to ensure the scaffolding had been erected and to check if we had any questions, then returned the following morning. They installed our Solar and were very professional, we were given a short tutorial of everything and we were done. Everything was quite honestly easy and trouble free we had really been expecting upheaval and a mess. From start to finish every one was pleasant and professional . I would certainly recommend them 10 stars
