We lived near the Embers shop on Monk Bridge Road over 30 years ago and used their services at that time. The fact that they are still trading is an indication that they must be reliable so we used their services to fit a new inset live fuel effect gas fire. From the start they impressed us as when they visited to carry out a survey, they were not only on time but were early. Two visits were required prior to the installation and their reliabilty and attitude filled us with confidence. We were not disappointed. A new flue lining was required and some brick work had to be removed. Despite the obvious disturbance that this caused, the room was left clean and tidy, as was the outside of the property where the rubble and old fire were placed. We are delighted with the new fire and very pleased that it could be fitted before Christmas which they had said they would try to do when we made our original enquiry. Both engineers were friendly and efficient and we would highly recommend Embers.

A sound experience with a high degree of professionalism along the way. We were kept informed of all requirements in order to give us a safe and economical refurbishment. The gas fire, which was the final outcome is marvelous. The workmen ensured that our house was protected against the inevitable dust and debris and everything was left clean and tidy on completion leaving us just to do a fine bit of dusting.

We contacted Ember Installations to see if they could help with an issue we had with our Stockton 5 Conventional Flue Coal Effect Stove. Having spoken with a number of other local companies, we had no success. However, having spoken with Brent only this morning (Monday, Sept 7th), he immediately looked to try and help. He was very reassuring and explained that their business had been around for quite some time and could help with our issue. Which I would add had been an issue for nearly 12 months, with no one seeming able to resolve it. Brent said he would send out an engineer asap. I received a call one hour later from Brent to confirm that, indeed, an engineer would be with me early afternoon! I couldn’t believe how quickly Ember Installations had reacted. And when the engineer did arrive, early in the afternoon as expected, he introduced himself (Karl) and immediately looked to see how he could help resolve the issue I had. Karl was very professional, very pleasant, and explained what needed to be done to overcome my problem. Within half an hour, the problem had been solved. Absolutely delighted with Karl, Brent, and Ember Installations, who I cannot thank enough for their outstanding service. And, they were very good value for money. I have now gone with Ember Installations to carry out my annual service. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company to any of my family or friends. Very impressed.

Thanks to Brent, Karl and Jamie and excellent back up from Lauren, we now have a beautiful new fireplace. Admittedly, there were time lags between the various processes needed but I appreciate how busy contractors are these days. Once again, a job well done.

From first walking into the showroom to completion of all the work the service we received was excellent. Brent was very attentive to our requirements and his suggestions were really helpful. Jamie provided a great demonstration when we went back and the work done by both Karl and Jamie installing our new fire and adapting the fireplace was so impressive. They turned up on time, their attention to detail was superb and they made sure there was hardly any mess, despite the very old dirty chimney in an old property. They were professional, friendly and respectful at all times. A big thank you must go to Lauren for her prompt response to any queries, and John the plasterer, who also did a great job. I previously engaged Embers to assist in selecting and installing a gas fire to replace an electric one. This work was completed several years ago, and I was thoroughly impressed. When the time came to replace my outdated gas fire in another room, I once again turned to Embers. From the initial consultation with Brent the installation carried out by Karl and Jamie, the entire process was seamless, and marked by exceptionally friendly service. I sought to completely transform the appearance of my fireplace, and Brent provided valuable guidance to help me make well-informed decisions from the outset. I also like that Embers offers aftercare, including annual servicing for the fires. I would highly recommend if you are looking to have work done to your fires.

The work was done very well, the new flue was installed with a minimum mess and the men were very polite - the final result seems to be very good; minimum inconvenience to the neighbours too. Also good value for the work carried out. Many Thanks

My gas fire was faulty. I rang Embers for advice. The staff were friendly and really helpful and booked and engineer to call within a few days The engineers arrived spot on time were friendly and very professional. They were careful in undertaking initial tests covering all carpets etc Tests were completed and I felt they really knew what they were doing. They explained what was wrong with the fire, which was over 20 years old and recommended a new fire. We did discuss options and I felt no pressure to purchase a fire. I did decide to replace and went into the shop there were lots of options and they took time to explain different fires. I received a fully broken down written quote with no pressure to purchase. The fire was fitted perfectly and again the engineers were really professional and happy to explain what they were doing. The fire is perfect and works just as expected The invoice and payment was all handled smoothly Basically everything was first class.

James completed my annual fire service on Monday. I was delighted with everything. He was on time, did a fabulous job and cleaned up perfectly. I found him pleasant, friendly, polite and professional. A credit to Embers.

Today Cal and Tom installed a new electric fire and replaced some damaged tiling on our Fireplace- The final result is excellent - their workmanship is excellent - you can tell they take pride in what they are doing and always checked with me to clarify anything. my place was left so tidy afterward as well :) I am so pleased I chose Embers to do this for me - they have been great and I would definitely recommend them to others

My old fireplace was removed by Embers Installations, and they also installed an antique fireplace and mantel that I had purchased elsewhere previously. Embers also provided a new hearth which they fitted. The work included sweeping the flue and dealing with the gas supply. I found the service provided by Embers excellent. All communication with the team was great; my email queries were answered promptly and I received a helpful phone call to discuss my options. A site survey at my home and my own visit to the showroom for further discussions were both positive. The work was completed within one day, and to budget. The team went above and beyond on the installation day, working hard and explaining their work to me throughout the day. They managed to salvage my old mantel at my request, and left my property neat and tidy at the end of the installation day. They provided the details of a waste removal service that I was able to utilise. I am a very satisfied customer.

I had a new fireplace and fire installed by Embers. I cannot praise the customer service and workmanship enough. Embers coordinated everything for me including electricians and plasterers and the workmen in my home were the best I have ever dealt with. Efficient, clean, friendly, fun and so helpful. They even had to deal with my (unnecessary) panic mid-installation! The team in the shop were fantastic too, responding quickly to every query. Remove existing gas fire in lounge. Clear chimney detritus. Install lined flue. Install replacement gas fire. Clear up. The property is just over 100 years old, we knew there may be an issue with a dog leg chimney. There was. It was quickly and neatly resolved. The installation team were very experienced, worked hard and they were personable. The quality of work was excellent, issues and remedial action were explained as they occurred. As a project it was to time, to budget, to specification, resulting in a happy customer.

I'd like to say thank you for the services provided and I'm glad that I chose to go with Embers. We decided to get a stove and went to get 3 quotes from various suppliers - one was Embers from a recommendation. Brent came to do the initial visit and site survey that gave us our quote. I found him to be knowledgeable, informative and candid throughout. We received the formal quote promptly soon after the initial visit. Once we decided to go ahead, most of the pre-installation dialogue was through the office, where Adele was excellent at handling all our queries and selections to get the order sorted in good time. We also had another visit from Brent who showed us some of the material samples to aid our selections. Once sorted we got an updated quote and were ready to go and booked an installation date. Our installation went over two days, then followed up with some plastering work. Carl and the team were all friendly, tidy and efficient. The resulting installation was to a high standard and we were very happy. Following the installation we had a problem with an adjacent chimney stack that turned out to be an unrelated issue, but I was extremely pleased with the way that Embers (through the whole team) supported us in diagnosing and resolving the issue. In my view, it's one thing being good at selling and installing, it's another thing altogether being good at aftercare and support. Embers ticks all the boxes for me and i'd happily recommend in the future.

The entire process from making the initial enquiry at the Embers showroom, the first site visit made by Brent, the two days of the work carried out, through to the follow-up visit to make minor changes, was a model of excellence. Brent was comprehensive in relation to the options and detailed information on each option he provided. This is a man who knows his stuff and is skilled in presenting this in a user-friendly manner. The team of two, who fitted the stove were punctual, pleasant, very professional and extremely considerate in leaving the room very clean indeed. They were willing to go the extra mile in helping in any way they could. Two admirable young men. A special word for Naomi and Adele, who looked after communication and administration. Naomi went to great lengths to ensure that were were kept informed about every stage of the process and answered all of our questions quickly and knowledgeably. Each of our communications was a pleasant and informative experience. Adele was a model of patience and expertise in dealing with our queries relating to the final invoice. We could not have chosen a better company to provide and fit our new stove. I would be happy to recommend them with great enthusiasm.

Just had a log burner installed by Embers, they arranged for the work to take place and we were kept informed at every stage. The whole team were courteous, professional and all the work was completed to a high standard and on time. A huge thank you to the Embers team for a brilliant, thoughtful, expert experience. I started with a lovely period surround and a melanin board in front of the fire opening and a damaged if perfectly suited Victorian insert. I now have a beautiful, repaired, polished fireplace with a new hearth. The missing bit of tile was located and repaired and now you can’t tell there was ever a hole! I felt like I was in an episode of the Repair Shop and my beautiful front room now looks complete and has another wow factor and I can have a real fire in the autumn. The team were professional, and courteous and spent two hours in the hot sun lining my chimney. We contacted Embers after seeing some really positive comments on Instagram because we needed our grotty early 20th Century fireplace converting into a recess with a beam. Right from the off they were really quick at getting back and just properly on it all the way through. They arranged a site visit, ran us through the work we'd need and sent a clear and transparent quote through fast which included added options and images. The guys who came to do the work turned up exactly when they said they would, were really quick and efficient and the work was to a very high standard. They also left next to no mess behind and were just really nice, respectful chaps who got on with the work. The work is really high quality, so it's not cheap but worth it. We're chuffed to bits and would defo recommend.

We had our old fireplace replaced and a new fire installed. The work was excellent and the fitters were both helpful and considerate. There was very little to clean up afterwards and the fireplace looks outstanding. I can highly recommend both the pre and after service and the high quality of the work that was done. I requested a repair quote from Embers for my Villager gas fire stove in the living room, following a diagnosis of faulty ignition by British Gas. Within 24hrs a part had been ordered by photo identification of the stove model number. A house visit appointment was then made for within 7 days luckily at a busy time for the business. The attending installation engineer Carl was knowledgeable and tidy, servicing my appliance fully and installing the new ignition part as required. Carl attended with a trainee also. Overall as a customer, I’m very pleased to have a gas fire working as good as new for the winter and knowing the repair was conducted to relevant safety standards. Embers customer service is recommended highly.

We had an electric fire installed to replace our gas fire. We found important benefits from going to a small, local business such as Embers. We were able to discuss options with real people who know what they are talking about. The installation went ahead on the planned date - the guys were friendly and did an excellent job. The team were flexible and well able to accommodate a variation on the standard fitting that we wanted. No problems with this company.

I wanted a gas wood burner. I had an existing chimney breast which when Embers came to measure for a quotation weren’t sure it was deep enough. After measuring they rang to say it would be very tight and I probably couldn’t have what I wanted. I was gutted but they said they would do what they could and they certainly did / they came up with a plan - I had to give up on the tiles at the back but they came and did all they could to give me what I wanted. The quotation was detailed with all possible scenarios listed so I would know the additional costs that could be needed ( flue liner ) so I could budget without surprises. From start to finish they were so professional and nothing was too much trouble. I rang and emailed several times with questions and they got back to me immediately. They weren’t the cheapest quotation but they were the one that was the most upfront about possible hidden costs and I felt I could trust them The fitters were polite and followed all Covid 19 guidance. They cleaned everything before they left. I am delighted with the results and would recommend Embers without hesitation. They will be servicing my fire every year. 100% happy!
