F5 Engine Carbon & DPF Clean

Adrian from Carbon Clean came this morning to help with my rather sluggish VW T4 camper, to be honest after two years of driving all over the uk I was just used to her being slow and underpowered and just thought that’s how they all are . I only booked the clean as part of her service routine as I like to keep all my vehicles in tip top condition . All I can say is WOW what an amazing transformation, she pulls like she’s had a new engine fitted, engine noise is greatly reduced and she seems much quieter . Adrian is a pleasure to do business with , a very professional and knowledgeable person. I certainly will be recommending him and his firm to all my friends. Thanks again.

This is the third vehicle I’ve owned that Adrian has performed the carbon clean on. We recently bought a low mileage L200 which had been doing generally short runs. It was sluggish, not very responsive in the throttle and the tick over was fluctuating. Following the clean and a short 10 mile drive it’s like a different vehicle. Much smoother on pulling away, engine is noticeably smoother running in general and throttle response is noticeably crisper… I’m not surprised as I found this on my two previous vehicles too. Adrian is thorough, very knowledgeable and professional. I can highly recommend him and have no hesitation in doing so.

Adrian promptly arrived on time. He kept me updated at all times, very knowledgable and walked me through the whole process and kept me apprised throughout the whole process even showing me the diagnostics on his computer so I could clearly see what was happening. Post carbon clean my 2005 Mercedes C220 diesel, drove markedly smoother and quieter. Fuel economy also is better. Very impressed, and would recommend highly.

What a very knowledgeable man about his business and how professional he was from the first text I sent enquiring about a Carbon clean on a BMW I had just purchased (which I knew little about) on the day of appointment he was early and straight away I could tell he was very professional in his manner. Had Adrian recommended to me by my local garage after an intermittent fault kept putting my 520d into restricted mode. He arrived ahead of schedule and after a quick chat got straight to work. Unlike many garages where your car disappears out of sight and a few hours later your given it back with a very large bill not knowing what they've done Adrian was more than happy to talk me through everything he was doing and answered any questions I put to him. The result after the clean is much better throttle response and the engine sounds much smoother and quieter. Time will tell whether the mpg figures are restored to nearer manufacturers claims but Adrian was right about everything else so pretty confident. Highly recommend this company and will be using again when needed.

Engine diagnostic and engine clean carried out at my home. Very knowledgeable, engine is running smoother and quieter now. Good data given on the state of my injectors. Would recommend to anyone.

I had two cars treated with the Carbon Clean method. The first was a twenty year old BMW Mini with 127K on the clock that had never had the engine treated to a clean of any description. Straight away the pick up when accelerating was crisper. The MPG had gone from 36 down to 30 MPG, yet somehow after the treatment, it has gone up to 40MPG. My second car, a diesel B Class Mercedes, had an expensive manual engine clean last year courtesy of the EGR, yet that too runs smoother after the treatment. Adrian was very easy to talk with, open, honest and informative. He clearly explained what would be done, what couldn't and why. During the procedure, he did a diagnostic check and sent me all the information.

My TVR Griffith after being stored for the last 3 years failed it’s MOT on emissions. The garage had carried out numerous works trying rectify the issues with no success. I came across Adrian’s website and thought I’d give him a call. He visited the garage where the car was and carried out his carbon cleaning process. Even during the cleaning process the engine note had changed from slightly congested to smooth. The following day the garage performed another emission test and found that CO content had dropped from a MOT failing 3.8 to a pass of 2.3 ! Significant to say the least! A Knowledgeable guy carrying out a fantastic service, highly recommended.

Booked a clean with Adrian on my 2012 x5. I have used Adrian before but I didn't have any issues with the car but just fancied a maintenance clean. Wow...the car is now smoother and more responsive. Adrian performed a live diagnostic and an engine carbon clean on my 2013 Mercedes A Class I have had a warning light for some time and the Garages have always blamed the EGR and after lots of work they could not work out what was wrong. After following his videos closely for a few months i reached out to Adrian to book him in to look at the car and see if he could figure out the problem. Arrived on time and got straight to work diagnosing the fault's the car had. Adrian took the time to explain the faults what the likely cause might be. This was the main reason why I wanted Adrian to do the job, his knowledge and attention to the detail is amazing! With the live data and Adrian's knowledge it looks like the issue might be electrical instead of mechanical and with this i can now get the car booked into the garage to fix. The carbon clean has made the car noticeably smoother now when driving. Adrian checked in with me later in the day to ask how the cars was driving which was a great touch and great service. Would defiantly recommend Adrian and will be using him in the future.

Had engine carbon clean out to me today to do my 2012 Audi A5 2.0 tfsi and my partner's 2011 Kia Sportage crdi. Very glad I booked Adrian in having followed his videos closely for a couple of months. Great service. Arrived on time. Instantly got to work diagnosing the fault's I had and explaining where each one was coming from or what the likely cause was. This was a massive part of the service and why I wanted Adrian to do the job, as he explained everything in detail. The carbon clean itself was great. It was more of a maintenance/prevention thing for me but I must say, the car is noticeably smoother now when driving around. Payment was simple with a card machine upon completion of works. Adrian checked in with me later in the day to ask how both cars seemed which I thought was a nice touch to include some after service.

This was the second time Adrian has been out to do a carbon clean for us. Booking process was easy, Adrian is responsive to messages and very informative. Primarily had the most recent carbon clean for preventative/maintenance but have been really impressed with the improvements we have seen in how smooth/quiet the car runs now. Will be sure to ask Adrian to come round to do a clean on our other car as it approaches is warranty expiry.

I have been booked with Adrian for a carbon clean and can say that it’s totally worth every penny my car has unleashed her true power , better mpg and throttle response, really happy with it i was not expecting to be such a massive difference , engine it’s running really smooth and very responsive, been told that my car it’s running really smoothly by Adrian especially for the mileage that i have ( 152000, Bmw 530d GT) . This is the second time I have used Adrian's services, today on two cars which have not previously had the service performed. Once again Adrian was very helpful, the diagnostics confirmed my suspicions about an issue I can now get fixed on one car, and showed a clean bill of health on the other. One car (a petrol 1.2 Ford Ka) is mostly used for city driving and has been absolutely transformed by the clean, now pulling strongly again and much quieter. The other (petrol 2.0 VW Arteon) was already in good shape due to being used mostly for long motorway runs, but is still a bit quieter and smoother after the work. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Adrian and F5ECC, I have previously and will do so again.

Went and had my car done on the way up to Scotland from Ipswich and managed to get it up to forty six mpg on a run. Would recommend highly. Great job.

I recently had my van in the garage for a few oil leaks and few other repairs. After repairing my van, the garage recommend my van had a carbon clean due to the build-up of carbon in my turbo pipe. Looked around and came across Adrian Charles of Engine Carbon East Midlands. Adrian who is very professional and very formative with the information/diagnosis of my van. He kept me up to date with everything he was doing and made sure I understood the information he was showing me. Since having the carbon clean I didn’t think I would see much of a difference in the running of my van. Adrian was booked to carbon clean my car; he arrived on time and the price was as expected, as he quoted in advance. Adrian texted prior to arrival so I knew when to expect him. He explained what he was going to do and if he would be able to clean my car engine. He completed the diagnostic tests and went ahead with the carbon cleaning. Throughout he was polite, personable; he answered all my questions honestly and gave me tips on how to maintain care of my car. She is an eleven year old MX5 that I've had from new and driven over 100,000 miles - I want to keep her running for at least double this, so Adrian's work and advice are invaluable. Good time keeping when arriving very informative on doing tune up and problems found. very happy with proformance of car now. Diagnosed the problem saving me a lot of money and garage time wasters. been to two garages and cost lots of money so far, now I have the right information I can get the car fixed properly. would highly recommend Adrain to do this tune up and engine clean for anyone.

So after a recommendation from a friend I gave Adrian a call regarding an engine light that came on whilst accelerating Had a chat over the phone and he booked me in for a couple of days later Adrian arrived 10 mins earlier than planned but had texted me to let me know if it was OK When he got here he diagnosed as turbo was over boosting and gave my honda crv 2.2 ictdi sport a carbon clean and removed the engine light After a very informative 45-55mins work everything was done Adrian left I took the car out for a drive to replicate what had brought the engine light on in the first place No problems there also I'm getting on average an extra 10mpg around town and the car feels very responsive I would recommend Adrian if you have engine lights on or your car van etc isn't running at its full potential

What can I say? My Audi S5 was running a bit rough and occasionally the check engine light came on. Now I already know this chap has a great S5 too and know he knows his stuff. I had a feeling my symptoms were related to carbon buildup so thought I’d give this a whirl. Well it’s certainly made a huge difference to the car! It’s like night and day, the slight misfires I had have disappeared and it’s as smooth as silk. I’m still going to get a full manual carbon clean do as this treatment doesn’t do the manifold or behind the inlet valves but honestly it’s the best £90 I’ve spent on the car. He also did my supercharged Range Rover which I thought was running great anyway but that also now is even smoother and picks up much quicker as well. Don’t hesitate to get your pride and joy done too. Top marks
