I’m more than happy with the service. The diagnostics talk through whilst the carbon clean happened was most enlightening. We’re all geared to jump on the EGR issue tomorrow and start to rectify the issue there. The reports were also very helpful. I was dreading a failed injector so to know it was wiring related was a relief. I’ll let you know how we get on for sure. *Update* Adrian’s initial cautious diagnosis was quite right. The EGR had failed (2 months old Chinese rubbish). Replaced it with OEM today. The difference is night and day. This big old diesel V6 feels responsive and clean. I really rate this service but, what I rate more is Adrian. He’s clear, calm and well informed. I really appreciate everything he did and will happily use him again in the future.

I am really pleased with the service that Adrian has done for my Subaru . The clean has totally changed the way the car runs and performs . Before it was down on power , running rich and the exhaust sound was terrible .It also had a lot of sooty deposits from the exhaust which also covered the rear of the car. Adrian explained every step of the process as it was done . Overall the information given to me , the price and the availability to fit my car in and the attention to detail of the service was excellent. I have used this service before once back when I got my 1 series, I had it done before at 54000 miles and I have decided to do it again at 65000 miles just to keep on top of the engine cleaning. The MPG average has been noticeable as well as the power and output when accelerating has a massive difference. He helped me look into codes I was getting prior temporarily that he then explained his thoughts and was open and honest about. He provided a brilliant service for a good price. Will be using the service again wether it’s for this car or future cars.

Incredible service. I can't believe how much improvement it's achieved just from a pipe shoved up the air filter for an hour. It's alleviated so many shakes and the whole engine and car is smoother. Adrian arrived on time, discussed what he was doing at every stage of the Carbon Clean, found a possible issue with engine temp, very pleased with the whole process and cost, would highly recommend.

Always have Adrian to do a carbon clean after getting any new car and this time was no different always goes out his way to get date’s I requested and this time while doing clean & diagnostics found an issue with car of which I wouldn’t of found and have managed to get done while still under warranty so saved me lots of money can’t recommend Adrian enough service second to none

Our Zafira has been a workhorse for the best part of 12 years and in the last few months developed a fault. The engine management light would come on and then disappear, usually when it was booked into a garage for diagnosis. Eventually, it was diagnosed as the system running lean. But, there was no explanation for it. Any garage will work on trial and error. This could mean injectors to sensors. I saw the YouTube video of Adrian with a similar Zafira and thought that it would be worth contacting ECC and see what they thought. I have an Astra as well so booked both in for diagnosis and Carbon Clean. Adrian was very thorough and professional. Explained the error codes and what could be the cause of the problems. Although they don't do the repair work, the complete diagnosis, working with live data, is invaluable. The potential problem was identified as a stuck thermostat. Not what I would have thought at all. Can't recommend Adrian and ECC enough. I now have a good idea of where to start with the Zafira. For anyone thinking of keeping an older ICE vehicle on the road for longer, I would have ECC out to perform a Carbon Clean. Both the Astra and Zafira now run a lot smoother.

Flagged issues with the engine I would not have known about until it was broken and its already running much smoother, once I get the work done it will be even better! Adrian came to do an Engine carbon clean and diagnostic consultation on both my Audi A4 and A6. Explained the whole process of the carbon clean and what it actually does and doesnt do. He also spent time to go through the live diagnostics explaining what the results show and what they mean which is something all garages do not do. After the engine clean wow!! the difference it makes. The older A4 is over 15 years old and now drives like a brand new car. The drive is smooth, the engine sounds quieter and the engine wobble at idle has pretty much reduced to nothing. Highly recommend Adrian, he goes above and beyond to get your car healthy again.

I was struggling to find a knowledgeable Auto diagnosis that would not simply plug in a BDO2. .Some want £90 and no printout. Adrian actually encouraged me to stay and watch and provide excellent clear info on what he was doing and how it affected the car as I had for a few pounds extra the engine De-carboned (Cleaned) using the amazing Hydrogen Electrolysis process. He also kept in touch after to see how the faults diagnosed were performing and the repairs I had authorised. Rarely do I give praise, to be honest, but this is a first-class service.

Adrian kept me posted about his ETA and even messaged me the day before to check that appointment was still okay. He turned up on time and got straight to work (the car was already warm as I’d just arrived home). A diagnostics check was completed first of all and everything came back clear/okay (no issues or faults at all) and so Adrian then connected up the necessary equipment, which would then start the internal cleaning process. Although I was working from home that day I left Adrian to get on with his work as I knew what the process entailed... This is the third time I’ve used Adrian and his company to clean my car engines internally (Kia Cee’d, Kia Sorenro and Jaguar XF). All three cars ran/run better, smoother, quieter after the cleaning process. I ask Adrian to visit and work his magic each time I swap my car so that I know the engine is starting from the best (cleanest) place possible whilst I own the vehicle - the diagnostic check also always me to get any underlying issues sorted, if any show up. The visit took about 50mins from start to finish, I paid by contactless and Adrian was then on his way to the next appointment. He’s a good egg, always polite, very knowledgeable and I think the product/service he offers is worth every penny.

I have an Audi A6 C7 (2018) 2.0 quattro petrol. I just bought it with 50k miles on the clock. The MPG seemed poorer than expected and the car would stutter if revved in neutral before returning to idle. Since having the cleaning done, it has improved my instant consumption gauge from 10 mpg to 30+ mpg when I'm doing 70mpg in 7th gear on uphill inclines. This is exactly what I was hoping for as I had to put my foot down alot more just to maintain the speed before the clean. My engine also revs perfectly fine with no dips. Highly recommend. This is the second time I have used this service and would certainly do it again.

Adrian was very professional and kept me fully informed about what he found. The result was that when I went out for a 17 mile trip, it felt much smoother and quieter, even with the sunroof open.

Had various power related issues with a diesel fueled car. The diagnostic and visual check showed an error with a faulty part linked to the fuel system. It's not often you find a company with outstanding service. This is the second time I have used Adrian at Engine Carbon Clean. The first time I was a little sceptical on the carbon cleaning process, there is a mixture of reviews on-line from various companies, but most were positive. I also thought that my car (2012 VW Touran TDI with 91,000 miles at first visit, 110,00 at the second) would probably have carbon build up due to many short trips would benefit from the clean if it actually worked. Prior to the second visit I had experienced a sticky EGR valve. On both occasions, Adrian arrived on time and after explaining the whole process and running a full diagnosis check on my car, he commenced with the clean keeping a close eye on the live diagnostic data. After both cleans my car has felt better to drive, smoother, quieter and more responsive. MPG has also increased and now acheiving 65 mpg on a run. Would I recommend? Definitely.

Adrian is a great honest guy who knows his stuff. He has come from a scientific background and will explain the process really well. The car had some issues which straight away Adrian says the cleaning will not deal with, but after the clean the car runs so much better.

My 2008 Citroen C4 1.6hdi had the dpf light come on. The local garage cleared it but wasn't confident it would stay off. They told me to speak to the main dealers. In the end, I just got confused, mainly because neither of them told me what the problem was. Enter Adrian, after having read his website I felt confident that he would diagnose the fault. He arrived promptly and went about his work in a professional and friendly manner. The fault was diagnosed to a relay, he also did a carbon clean, the car is now a totally different car to when I bought it. It's much quieter and much more responsive as well. having used Adrian before on other cars I have owned I asked him to clean my audi a6 on nearly 200k miles he's always knowledgeable and explains if the cars need anything the car is now more responsive and also no longer puffs put lots of black smoke on acceleration he noted an engine mount could be faulty and he was correct I investigated and one was perished so I would always recommend using this service and I will continue to on future cars I own great service as always

I had Adrian out to do a carbon clean on my 2011 nissan navara v6. I wasn't sure what to expect but Adrian found 3 fault codes (it had been in the garage for a full service the day before). He cleared these codes and gave advice on them. Truck starts better and drives a lot smoother now. Very happy with Adrian and his service.

I'd booked in 3 cars for an engine carbon clean, two petrol vehicles and one diesel ranging from 1996 to 2010, all with around 100k miles or more. Adrian methodically worked on each vehicle, whilst providing me a clear, consice and honest education in what the process actually does and what it doesn't. Following each car being completed he provided a print out and a digital copy of diagnostics and all the codes found on the ECU, which was very handy to have. Later that day after the appointment I found myself having to travel long distance and took the diesel. The comparison between before and after the carbon clean was astonishing. I found the car was providing better and smoother torque, faster throttle response, a slightly quieter engine and a much better and consistent MPG. I have to say its been worth every penny. Will definitely be using his services again in the future.

This kind of service was actually suggested by my local garage to help sort out a problem I was having with my car (engine going into limp mode, engine fault lights and continuous problems). As well as sorting out the issues, it has helped diagnose where other issues might lie and improve the engine performance. Jaguar XF 120k miles, since Adrian worked his magic improved throttle response, quieter drive and increased mpg, all facts. After a few issues with my car I was recommended Adrian by a family friend who has just had a carbon clean due to problems with his own car who now says its running better then ever before. gave Adrian a text and got my car a 2014 Mazda cx5 which was averaging around 40mpg but in recent months dropped to 33 mpg and was becoming sluggish booked in a few days later. He kept me updated when he would arrive to the minute when he arrived he was vey polite and got to work explaining everything in detail and how it all works showing me all old codes and live data whist it was having a carbon clean sending me them via text after he had finished I went for a spin and straight away it was more responsive and quieter on tick over and after a long run this morning my mpg has gone back up to 39 mpg cant thank Adrian enough super knowledgeable guy and very professional excellent service

Had a carbon clean today on a 2005 3 series bmw. Not just the carbon clean but a full diagnostic and if you are Interested they talk you through the process. Any faults. Clear what they can and give you a full break down of everything done. Very honest and openly explain what it will help with and what it won’t. Checked appointment the day before and was clear with all comms and even told me he was going to be 20 mins early. Very happy customer.

Gave Adrian a call at Engine Carbon Clean, as my passat 1.9tdi was struggling to breathe due to a clogged engine, cheap supermarket fuel,and a faulty thermostat,resulting in limp mode. Towing a caravan,at 20 mph up hills,not good. Adrian turned up on time, and explained in great detail,what the service entailed, which was a comprehensive diagnostic, and hydrogen clean.while the cleaner was being fed into the engine, on startup the engine was noisy and shaky as I thought diesels were, but halfway through the cleaning,it was noticeably quieter.. Many faults on the diagnostic,but most I knew of,but a few I didn't,which explained a lot. On completion, can't believe the difference,like giving the car a lung transplant,it's that good! Adrian was very friendly and very professional, cannot ask for more A pleasure to recommend to everyone. 5 stars.😊

Came to our home and did a carbon clean and engine diagnostics. All very clean and professional. Explained everything as he was doing it in great detail. Car is running quieter and smoother and is more responsive. Diagnostic gave some other faults that helped us know about other issues we need to get the garage to sort out, but with out Engine Carbon Clean we wouldn't have known about. First class service right from the start. Adrian was recommended by a friend with a mechanical background who was happy with the service he received this gave me confidence in using him myself. His communication is incredibly good always letting you know exactly how the process works, what to expect and when to expect him etc. which is helpful when trying to plan your day with minimum interruption plus he come's to you at your home/ workplace which is another reason I chose to use his services and minimise inconvenience. Most importantly he did everything he said he would for the price he said he would do it for and was friendly and professional throughout .

When I spoke to Adrian on phone I found him very polite and helpful. Adrian arrived promptly and fully explained the service he provided and what can be expected from a Carbon Clean. My 1.8 TDCI C-max runs much smoother now and fells more energetic on the road. Another advantage with the service is I got a full diagnostic of my car and it was found a diesel injector was misfiring and required replacing. After using the service for the first time, I will definitely use Adrian again in the future. 10/10.

Adrian from Carbon Clean came this morning to help with my rather sluggish VW T4 camper, to be honest after two years of driving all over the uk I was just used to her being slow and underpowered and just thought that’s how they all are . I only booked the clean as part of her service routine as I like to keep all my vehicles in tip top condition . All I can say is WOW what an amazing transformation, she pulls like she’s had a new engine fitted, engine noise is greatly reduced and she seems much quieter . This is the third vehicle I’ve owned that Adrian has performed the carbon clean on. We recently bought a low mileage L200 which had been doing generally short runs. It was sluggish, not very responsive in the throttle and the tick over was fluctuating. Following the clean and a short 10 mile drive it’s like a different vehicle. Much smoother on pulling away, engine is noticeably smoother running in general and throttle response is noticeably crisper… I’m not surprised as I found this on my two previous vehicles too. Adrian is thorough, very knowledgeable and professional. I can highly recommend him and have no hesitation in doing so.

Adrian promptly arrived on time. He kept me updated at all times, very knowledgable and walked me through the whole process and kept me apprised throughout the whole process even showing me the diagnostics on his computer so I could clearly see what was happening. Post carbon clean my 2005 Mercedes C220 diesel, drove markedly smoother and quieter. Fuel economy also is better. Very impressed, and would recommend highly.

Had Adrian recommended to me by my local garage after an intermittent fault kept putting my 520d into restricted mode. He arrived ahead of schedule and after a quick chat got straight to work. Unlike many garages where your car disappears out of sight and a few hours later your given it back with a very large bill not knowing what they've done Adrian was more than happy to talk me through everything he was doing and answered any questions I put to him. The result after the clean is much better throttle response and the engine sounds much smoother and quieter. Time will tell whether the mpg figures are restored to nearer manufacturers claims but Adrian was right about everything else so pretty confident. Highly recommend this company and will be using again when needed.

I had two cars treated with the Carbon Clean method. The first was a twenty year old BMW Mini with 127K on the clock that had never had the engine treated to a clean of any description. Straight away the pick up when accelerating was crisper. The MPG had gone from 36 down to 30 MPG, yet somehow after the treatment, it has gone up to 40MPG. My second car, a diesel B Class Mercedes, had an expensive manual engine clean last year courtesy of the EGR, yet that too runs smoother after the treatment. Adrian was very easy to talk with, open, honest and informative. He clearly explained what would be done, what couldn't and why. During the procedure, he did a diagnostic check and sent me all the information.

My TVR Griffith after being stored for the last 3 years failed it’s MOT on emissions. The garage had carried out numerous works trying rectify the issues with no success. I came across Adrian’s website and thought I’d give him a call. He visited the garage where the car was and carried out his carbon cleaning process. Even during the cleaning process the engine note had changed from slightly congested to smooth. The following day the garage performed another emission test and found that CO content had dropped from a MOT failing 3.8 to a pass of 2.3 ! Significant to say the least! Adrian performed a live diagnostic and an engine carbon clean on my 2013 Mercedes A Class I have had a warning light for some time and the Garages have always blamed the EGR and after lots of work they could not work out what was wrong. After following his videos closely for a few months i reached out to Adrian to book him in to look at the car and see if he could figure out the problem. Arrived on time and got straight to work diagnosing the fault's the car had. Adrian took the time to explain the faults what the likely cause might be. This was the main reason why I wanted Adrian to do the job, his knowledge and attention to the detail is amazing! With the live data and Adrian's knowledge it looks like the issue might be electrical instead of mechanical and with this i can now get the car booked into the garage to fix. Had engine carbon clean out to me today to do my 2012 Audi A5 2.0 tfsi and my partner's 2011 Kia Sportage crdi. Very glad I booked Adrian in having followed his videos closely for a couple of months. Great service. Arrived on time. Instantly got to work diagnosing the fault's I had and explaining where each one was coming from or what the likely cause was. This was a massive part of the service and why I wanted Adrian to do the job, as he explained everything in detail. The carbon clean itself was great. It was more of a maintenance/prevention thing for me but I must say, the car is noticeably smoother now when driving around. Payment was simple with a card machine upon completion of works. This is the second time I have used Adrian's services, today on two cars which have not previously had the service performed. Once again Adrian was very helpful, the diagnostics confirmed my suspicions about an issue I can now get fixed on one car, and showed a clean bill of health on the other. One car (a petrol 1.2 Ford Ka) is mostly used for city driving and has been absolutely transformed by the clean, now pulling strongly again and much quieter. The other (petrol 2.0 VW Arteon) was already in good shape due to being used mostly for long motorway runs, but is still a bit quieter and smoother after the work. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Adrian and F5ECC, I have previously and will do so again.

I recently had my van in the garage for a few oil leaks and few other repairs. After repairing my van, the garage recommend my van had a carbon clean due to the build-up of carbon in my turbo pipe. Good time keeping when arriving very informative on doing tune up and problems found. very happy with proformance of car now. So after a recommendation from a friend I gave Adrian a call regarding an engine light that came on whilst accelerating Had a chat over the phone and he booked me in for a couple of days later Adrian arrived 10 mins earlier than planned but had texted me to let me know if it was OK When he got here he diagnosed as turbo was over boosting and gave my honda crv 2.2 ictdi sport a carbon clean and removed the engine light After a very informative 45-55mins work everything was done Adrian left I took the car out for a drive to replicate what had brought the engine light on in the first place No problems there also I'm getting on average an extra 10mpg around town and the car feels very responsive I would recommend Adrian if you have engine lights on or your car van etc isn't running at its full potential

What can I say? My Audi S5 was running a bit rough and occasionally the check engine light came on. Now I already know this chap has a great S5 too and know he knows his stuff. I had a feeling my symptoms were related to carbon buildup so thought I’d give this a whirl. Well it’s certainly made a huge difference to the car! It’s like night and day, the slight misfires I had have disappeared and it’s as smooth as silk. I’m still going to get a full manual carbon clean do as this treatment doesn’t do the manifold or behind the inlet valves but honestly it’s the best £90 I’ve spent on the car. He also did my supercharged Range Rover which I thought was running great anyway but that also now is even smoother and picks up much quicker as well. Just had Adrian perform a carbon clean and diagnostic test on my ford mondeo , after using adrian back in 2016 on a previous car i new i could see results again very genuine guy who knows his stuff , talks you through any codes or issues he might come across. just got back of a drive to Try the car after the clean , All I can say Is wow it has made a big difference in throttle response , alot smoother and quiet now when being driven and idling and a flat spot I had thought 3rd/4th gear has now gone. Will definitely use again.

Adrian was brilliant from start to finish. Communication was spot on from booking to completion. I had 2 cars done at the same time one being a taxi which I use for work. Initially Adrian carried out a diagnostics which came up with a couple of faults which helped incredibly as I was having issues with the coolant system. With this information we have narrowed down the on going issues I had. Once the carbon clean was completed I noticed the engine was quieter at idle. Upon test drive I noticed the throttle was way more responsive than prior to the clean. I have only driven less than 100 miles but I am pleased with results. I contacted Adrian on the 11th February and he had a cancellation for the following day. Adrian sent information regarding the clean via e-mail then kept me updated on the day for his time of arrival. Once Adrian arrived he was very friendly and explained the process of the clean and diagnostics. Adrian clear some old codes on the car the sent me the codes he cleared plus live data while the carbon clean was happening, he also explained what all the data meant so I understood how the car was running. Even though I had no issues with the car and Adrian said that it was running perfect after the clean I have noticed I have gain between 5-10 mpg and the car is so quiet it’s like brand new and the biggest change is how responsive the car is now I have had the clean. I had Adrian come out today to carry out a carbon clean on my Jaguar XF. Adrian is a really friendly chap who really knows his stuff. I was updated very regularly with arrival times and he showed up exactly when he said he would. After he run a diagnostic on my car there were 9 fault codes and a lot of them to do with the fuel injectors and DPF. During the cleaning process, you could actually hear the engine getting quieter and smooth. After the carbon clean had finished the fault codes cleared themselves. I took the car out after the work was done, and could tell the difference straight away. The car feels more responsive, smoother and quiet. My MPG was averaging around 35.0 driving around my town. Now its shot up to 42.0. Absolutely amazing! Thank you so much, Adrian!

Adrian from Engine Carbon Clean came out to work on my wife's BMW 320d which had become sluggish and unresponsive and to put it bluntly, a bit of a pig to drive due to it doing a lot of short runs and the car being a diesel. After a full diagnostic check to ensure there were no problems which could prevent work being carried out (and all diagnostic reports being sent over to me), he proceeded with the carbon clean service which took less than an hour from start to finish, he even arrived slightly ahead of schedule. Wow, the results are unbelievable. The car is no longer sluggish and the throttle response is massively improved and it even sounds a bit nicer as well. Not only that he gave me a few pointers to keep the car running nice and clean in future as well. This is the second time I've had Adrian out and from the service on offer, it won't be the last. I had Adrian out to carbon clean my car engine, he arrived exactly when he said he would, he was very professional and really seems to know his stuff, I would one hundred percent recommend him and his service. To be honest I didn’t think much was wrong when I booked in, I just wanted to have it cleaned out but Adrian carried out a full diagnostic on the car prior to the clean which did show some faults that I’ll have to address at some point. After the clean there’s a noticeable difference on the sound of the engine especially when starting from cold and I have definitely noticed how much more responsive it is, even in eco mode. I can’t comment on fuel efficiency just yet as I have been testing the responsiveness. I had Adrian from Engine Carbon Clean to have a look at my 2006 Audi A4 2.0 tdi with 148,000 on the clock as it sometimes struggles to start when cold and had a rough idle. Adrian turned up when he said he would(super punctual)pleasant chap and full of knowledge. After a thorough diagnostic, no initial problems were found so on with the clean. After the clean, I noticed straight away an improved throttle response and improved mpg. The proof for me was the next morning when I started first started the car.no struggling no rough idle it’s like a new car! Had soot filter full come up a few times on my 2007 Volvo xc70awd P3. Short journeys it seemed to regenerate, but on a couple of long journeys, it went into limp mode. I called Adrian to do a carbon clean and diagnostic check, and I was expecting the worse of either a deep clean on the dpf filter or even replacing it. Adrian put his machine on it and the soot filter was fluctuating but he could tell that it wasn't full yet but regeneration wasn't working. He suggested the dpf pressure sensor along with a new thermostat. Had both replaced and car is now back to full power, and no more soot filter full warnings. The carbon clean has also made the car feel far more responsive. Thanks Adrian 10/10

So right from the original contact Adrian was professional, knowledgeable and honest and provided me with in-depth information about why I wouldn't need one of the services I asked him to quote for (even though this would of earned him more money), this impressed me as several other companies had just provided me with a quote without one of them saying perhaps I don't need the service. Following this I booked in for an Engine Carbon Clean on my Volvo V60 with Adrian who kept me informed of ETA the night before and on the day and was extremely punctual (even arriving early but only after checking it was okay to do). Throughout the procedure Adrian was more than happy to answer my question at explain to me what he was doing at each stage. After the clean, my engine was notable running quieter. I took it for a test drive after Adrian left and am very happy with the result, the car feels smoother to drive, feeling more responsive through the revs. Could not recommend Adrian highly enough, very knowledgeable, very professional and a genuinely nice guy.

Engine Carbon Clean responded promptly to my initial enquiry allowing me to have the work completed on my car within days. I have a 2007 BMW 525d. They arrived bang on time and completed work on my car to a professional standard. My car hadn’t completed a successful DPF regeneration in over 5000 miles which was due to a faulty sensor. After the engine clean, I have since replaced the sensor. I have noticed my car is undoubtably smoother on startup and performance on these colder days thanks to the clean. Would high recommend.

I have had Adrian out before for carbon cleans but yesterday I had him out to clean my DPF as I have been struggling getting it to regenerate. Adrian is full of knowledge and always tells you straight. He sorted my DPF out as it had been in limp mode for a few weeks now. Great service great price great guy will definitely be going back.

Booked Adrian in again for a Carbon Clean and this time on my newly purchased VW Passat 2.0 TDI and also an issue with my Step sons Audi A3 2.0 TDI which requires a DPF clean. Vw on the inspection through the Diagnostic machine everything was running sweet, after the Carbon Clean there is an Instantly noticeable difference on the throttle response and a lot smoother now. The Audi has been a nightmare for a couple of months, This had been to a couple of garages with the car in limp mode and wouldn’t re-generate, on inspection he was informed that it required a DPF Sensor changing , this didn’t work , then he was informed it require a Turbo Actuator , didn’t work and then apparently it required a lambda sensor. The issue was still there, A phone call to Adrian and instantly with an answer to why it won’t re-generate is because the issue had not been diagnosed early enough and therefor the DPF was clogged up. On his Diagnostic machine the back pressure was 100 ,and the worst he had experienced on a Vag Engine , A further Code saying high Ash content, It wasn’t looking good but Adrain said he was confident he could resolve the issues , after a DPF clean the back pressure dropped to 10 from 100 and it was a success , The car Re-Generated and is running really well now. Absolute Gentleman has always and very professional with a huge amount of knowledge. Another fantastic Job and thank you… Richard

Audi A5 3.0 tdi Quattro First used ECC East Mids back in May for an engine clean and then again in September for a DPF clean, Adrian is the ultimate professional, calls/texts in advance of appointments with eta, full diagnostic scan (before and after cleans sent to your phone) takes the time to fully explain what everything means and what impact various sensors/parts have to influence the reason for needing a DPF or engine clean, I myself now have more of an understanding of how a diesel engine should be working its best and how to keep it that way! Having recently purchased a Ford Kuga I had done some motorway miles and noticed it to be unresponsive and struggling in higher gears. I booked a diagnostic appointment through messenger on Facebook and was rewarded with a very professional response from Adrian. The appointment was in the late afternoon and I was kept informed of the arrival time during the day. A full diagnosis and engine clean was performed and a dpf pressure sensor issue was found. Immediately upon my first drive after the work on the car I found a increase in responsiveness and a improvement in mpg. I am always careful who I use when having work done on my vehicles but all of the positive reviews of F5ECC made my decision to have the engine carbon cleaned by this company. Adrian kept me updated with information at the time of booking the car in and his communication was excellent. He phoned me to let me know an estimated arrival time and arrived at exactly this time! I was very interested in seeing what is done, Adrian talked me through the diagnostic procedure detailing what each code meant sending me copies of stored and current fault codes whilst he was there which I can give to a garage at a later date. He showed me how the carbon clean was done and was honest throughout in that the procedure can work better/outcomes can be more noticeable on some cars more than others, this will depend on how well they have been maintained, mileage, whether used for short journeys. I asked a lot of questions and Adrian answered them thoroughly. Adrian is a top bloke and it is without doubt that he knows his job inside out, I would highly recommend this company to anyone. I was sceptical about this process initially. Having done the research, however, there are a wealth of cowboy firms out there who lack the knowledge, skill and vehicle sympathy to do it correctly - poor quality kit being used in an amateurish way, usually doing more harm than good. Having looked into the process and read the reviews on ECCEM, I decided to give it a go. My vehicle is a VW Passat Alltrack, 2013, 2.0 TDI originally 140 bhp but mapped to around 185. I run a K&N filter and it is regularly serviced, I only use premium fuel - I wasn't convinced I would notice a difference. I was wrong. The whole customer service aspect was second to none. Very efficient and professional. Adrain is incredibly knowledgeable. Explained the process and taught me some very useful stuff. His advice on how to manage your DPF alone is worth the fee. He loves his job and his cars - you're in safe hands. Laptop plugged in, I got very detailed information about the state of the vehicle - this is incredibly useful if you want to stay on top of your maintenance. Also an indispensable health check for your car. Immediately after cleaning, change in engine note was obvious, much crisper with a lot of ther low down diesel 'grumble' eliminated. Performance is much more linear across the rev range - it's not about power, it's about smoothness of delivery. Slight increase in MPG too, although your results will depend on the condition of your vehicle. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I had my car Carbon cleaned today, it feels and sounds so much better than what it did. If you have a high mileage car then from my experience it brings it back to life highly recommended.

This is the second time I have called upon Adrian's service, this time for a 58 plate Vectra diesel with emissions problems and smoking issues. The vehicle was booked in for MOT on the same day. Adrian arrived promptly as stated and got to work on cleaning the engine of carbon build up, during the clean Adrian's data on the laptop was showing some incorrect issues with the car. On inspection Adrian had found that the swirl flap linkage rod was loose causing poor air mixture etc, this as been the primary cause of smoking on start up of the engine this has been going on for some time, it was nice to get a definitive diagnosis which can now be rectified. To say the least the vehicle passed it's MOT. Adrian also gave me a discount on the price due to being a Key worker which was much appreciated

From the first contact to completion of the carbon clean I can only describe my experience as totally professional. Adrian explained each part of the process and answered any questions I had. This is my second time asking Adrian to clean a vehicle. My first clean was on an older transit can and the difference was noticeable. I expected the second clean to be less effective as the vehicle is newer and has lower miles. I have been pleasantly surprised. The car is a lot smoother, no gentle shake In the car at idle any more, much smoother under acceleration and quieter. Time will tell if I get better MPG, but the driving experience is transformed. I have a 17 yr old Vauxhall Corsa. The carbon clean done absolute wonders to my car! Before it used to shake at idle and the engine was very loud. After performing the service(which was very cool to watch actually) the engine was much quieter. The acceleration was more responsive and smooth as well, which I didn't expect. I have a BWM with 72,000 miles. I had read about engine carbon clean and from my first phone call, Adrian gave me a detailed explanation of what would be done. When he arrived at my home he looked the part very smart after the work was complete and he gave me a written report. He was very knowledgeable and professional, my BMW drives better and is quieter. I just want to leave this with you in the hope that other people realise the massive benefits of carbon cleaning. I have a XC 90 wonderful car! It developed a very annoying problematic limp mode whenever you try to accelerate hard. Brought up over boost fault codes. I change the boost pressure sensor fault remained. Adrian came after a very carefully explaining what can and cannot be achieved with carbon cleaning. He spent over an hour reading the diagnostics of my car and carbon cleaning the engine and fuel delivery systems. Very very knowledgeable gentlemen! After cleaning the engine sounded completely different, it revved faster and straightaway you could hear a crisp note in the engine. I went for a drive and there was obviously so much carbon that have been removed from the engine the ECU struggled initially to regulate the air to fuel mixture. After a few miles the results were outstanding! I think Adrian found about 50 of my missing ponies!!!! The fault cleared and the car is like it was 100,000 miles ago! I will be doing this every 10,000 miles now. It pays for itself! Cannot recommend this company high enough. Superb excellent polite punctual service!

1st time I have used this company. Adrian is a very knowledgeable guy who knows his job. Would definitely recommend and use again.

A absolutely fantastic service from start to finish Adrian is a lovely guy very helpful and very knowledgeable he has now cleaned up 2 different cars for me and always had great results well worth the money and 100% recommend him.

Car was in limp mode with service light on. Adrian come out did diagnostic check which was the dpf pressure sensor. Got the sensor replaced but car was still in limp mode. Adrian advised the new sensor needs recalibrating. Booked another appointment with Adrian. Took him 10mins to recalibrate the new sensor and car was out of limp mode and driving normal again. So happy with the advice and service.

I phoned Adrian yesterday and arranged a time for a visit he arrived 15 min before arranged time and he came out his way to do my car. Adrian was very useful with knowledge about my vehicle and he explained what he was about to work on the car all this with a diagnostic readout throughout. A proper nice guy who knows his stuff and the results showed as the car was running a lot smoother I’m a very happy customer and would recommend to anyone.

This is the second time I have used this service for a car and excellent as before. Having this done to my previous car sorted a warning light issue which I was quoted a lot more to fix and this time after getting a new car wanted to make sure it was running at its best. Brilliant service and the car running better and improved fuel economy too. Great full diagnostics done too I definitely recommend having this done well worth it!!

I’ve not used Adrian for. Few years due to the obvious and I’ve done easily close to 50,000 since my last clean. After an hour my van is smoother, more responsive and giving an improved MPG going from 24/34 and now returning 38/39. Definitely worth doing as you also get to see the live data from the engine showing that things are running nicely. Also it’s always nice to see Adrian who’s professionalism and customer service is as good as ever. 👍🏻

A thoroughly professional outfit and immensely knowledgeable they explained the full carbon cleaning process in detail. Upon booking explained exactly what I should expect from this process and more importantly what the process cannot clean. Communication was excellent prior to arrival and throughout the process. Error codes were sent to me prior and post the clean and live data explained during the clean. I have already booked my second car in and would thoroughly recommend to anybody who is interested in getting their car carbon cleaned.

Excellent communication from Adrian from initial enquiry to completion. Noticed my VW T5 wasn't running very well, called Adrian to come and diagnose, did a engine clean while he was here and brought up a few fault codes. Struggle finding a reputable garage, so now going to a few garages with what I already know needs doing is a lot easier to get prices for and saves a "surprise" bill at the end. Would highly recommend his service and will be using again in the near future for engine cleans on other vehicles. T5 running smoother already. 👌

Adrian carried out a carbon clean on my car, the level of service that he offers is second to none. From being punctual on arrival, explaining fully the process that he takes the car through whilst carrying it out and explaining any issues that he finds. I would highly recommend his service to anyone looking for general maintenance, engine diagnostics or fault finding!

Just had mine and my son’s Audi S3 carbon cleaned by Adrian, a very professional and knowledgeable guy. I have now had Adrian out on my previous Audi A4 3.0tdi and now twice on my S3 (first time was 9th Feb 2019). A full diagnostic before the clean, after the clean car feels smoother with a crisper response. I would highly recommend Adrian and the multi car discount was a bonus. Needed a diagnostic for my BMW 1 series to resolve a DPF error code. Adrian came on time, was very professional and resolved the issue without the need for a full DPF clean, therefore saving me money which he could have quite easily scammed out of me, but didn’t. I also had a carbon clean performed on my Kia Cee’d too. Both cars seemed smoother, sharper with a few extra MPG’s. I would highly recommend.

I had my Jaguar X type carbon cleaned by Adrian from F5 Engine Carbon Clean. The car was showing no faults but a bit noisy and with 98k on the clock thought I would give it a try. Adrian arrived exactly when he said he would, explained in great detail the process and expected results. One hour later, job complete - the engine runs considerably quieter and smoother, more responsive. The results are just what I wanted and cannot recommend these guys highly enough. Would definitely recommend to one and all, especially owners with diesel engined motors. I will not hesitate to call them again.

Adrian recently Carbon cleaned my van. He was punctual, offered excellent communication and his service improved the way that my van runs. The first thing Adrian did when I called was to ascertain that I had realistic expectations as to the benefits of a carbon clean. He is very honest, and certainly not just out to grab money. His service was extremely well organised and Adrian is very efficient. He carried out in depth live data analysis on the van whilst performing the clean, and shared relevant data/results with me immediately via WhatsApp. My van is now smoother, quieter and more responsive, and I am also now aware of another issue identified by Adrian which I can have repaired to save potential excessive wear on the engine. The whole process right from the enquiry stage up to actually having to carbon clean process was excellent. Really good communication and Adrian arrived on time. During the clean Adrian explained each of the steps and showed the processes happening and the live data as it was happening. As for the results, Well, surprisingly it feels a LOT different. Lots more low end power and smoother through the whole rev range. Its lost that little jerking action when letting off the accelerator too. Time will tell on the MPG. Certainly a returning customer when the time arrives.
