David did some work on our house extending some network cabling around to 2 more rooms in our house and wiring up part of our house to a TV aerial on the roof. Both of these were done as hoped for - and our expectations were exceeded. For the data cabling he listened carefully to what we were trying to achieve and his solution involved far less cables around the outside of our house than anticipated. I think this is what sets him apart - he focussed on the objective of what we were after and came up with the best way of doing it - rather than be blindsided by what I thought was the right way to do it! The cables were neatly hidden behind a drain pipe externally - and after he left we discovered in our loft the incredibly neat and tidy way cabling was tied back around the perimeter out of loft. Wiring up the TV signal required a lot more work than anticipated and again the solution required some thought - and David's solution was incredibly ingenious with no extra visible wires. Overall we'd highly recommend David English's services without hesitation.

We had suffered a loss of our 'Sky' service following my attempt to sort out a problem with our T V. David was able to visit promptly and rectified the problem while at the same time simplifying the control of the TV. It was a fairly simple job but I am not too clever technically and he explained what he was doing and offered alternative solutions. He was always polite and easy to deal with and gave me some useful advice on reviewing Sky contracts. The price came within his minimum charge and seemed reasonable.

My TV was showing pixelated channels and weak signals. David checked the TV aerial and cables, diagnosed and explained weaknesses, provided me with choices at each stage, and then carried out the work very neatly without causing any damage to the roof. The work involved removing all old redundant TV aerial equipment and cabling, installing a new system, plus adding new external splitters. The bill included a five-year warranty. Overall, David was pleasant, good at communication and prompt.

We heartily recommend David and will tell family and friends about him if they need work done. We asked to move satellite and phone cables away from our windows, as they were due to be replaced. He was excellent all round, both with contact, replying to questions, but most importantly turning up as arranged. David English was very helpful when I had a problem with my aerial and TV reception. He came exactly when he said he would and made sure he had the correct ladders with him. On arrival he investigated the problem and clearly and carefully explained to me what the best solution would be. He identified the problem was with the television not the aerial . Recently moved into the house and one aerial socket was not working. David persisted with the diagnostics to find the problem (not obvious) and fixed it. Needed removal of a TV aerial which fell following high winds. Also wanted to get removal and cleanup of other items left in a poor condition by a previous contractor. David created an alcove in an internal wall and attached a 32in tv to an extending swivel bracket so that the tv can be pulled out and viewed from any angle. He communicated with us clearly regarding his availability, made recommendations on the most appropriate tv and once the job was underway got on with it with minimal fuss and mess. When he realised he could achieve a smarter finish to the alcove even though it would take more effort on his part, David went the extra mile and we are thrilled with the result. And he is also a thoroughly nice chap.

Our TV/FM aerial had not been working for some time. English Installations identified a fault with our TV signal amplifier/distribution box, which he replaced. He also explained that our existing aerial was too old to receive many current services, and recommended this should be replaced too. Replaced the indoor cable, which had been cut when a door frame was replaced. Diagnosed the problem and re-routed the cable through the door frame and around the room to be as unobtrusive as possible. Removed the old cable and left the room clean and tidy. David English of ENGLISH INSTALLATIONS assessed where an updated Virgin Media WIFI system and telephones would need to be installed. He arranged to bring the necessary cable and equipment to upgrade the existing system. He provided an estimate of the cost via email and we agreed to proceed. Mr English arranged the date for upgrading the system and arrived promptly, worked efficiently, explained exactly what he was doing as the work progressed. We found Mr English focused, helpful--especially as we are not up-to-date about the current WIFI and telephone technology. He told us to get back to him with any queries or problems. So far, so good! But should we need to contact him with questions--etc--he said he would be happy to be available.

We have used David English twice now in the last 6 months to install/setup internet in our house. On each occasion he has been outstanding in terms of experience, knowledge and ability, costs and helpfulness. Wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

English Installations installed a hard-wired Wi-Fi cable to the back of the property and provided a booster for the Wi-Fi. Turned up on time and gave some excellent advice on the final solution required. Work was conducted in a quality manner and the site was left clean and tidy. Good value for money and excellent customer service provided.

David did an excellent job in installing a new TV aerial for us. He was very friendly, efficient and clearly very knowledgeable. He worked quickly and was very tidy. As well as sorting our aerial, he removed a whole load of redundant wiring from old tech which was great as everything looks much neater now. I had a complete collapse of my landline, broadband and internet. David very quickly identified the problem with the outdated incoming master telephone feed, and the broken master telephone socket. He replaced the whole system, which is now functioning perfectly. I regard his charge as very reasonable in the circumstances. David did an aerial job for me last week. Not only he had the face mask on even before he left his van, took his shoes off as soon as he entered the flat and always managed to keep the safety distance, but he completed the job in no time, leaving everything tidy, he showed me what the problem was, waited for me to check all was working and charged me the minimum he previously quoted, including a part he supplied himself. I must add the communication since the first contact I've had with him has been always clear and prompt and it was a pleasure to deal with him in person too. I live in a block of flats and was having problems with poor reception on my TV. I have no idea about the set up of the tv aerial system in my block. David was meticulous tracing the cables through in looking for the amplifier which sadly we couldn't find before he decided on Plan B to install an external splitter and a new aerial point. Despite being busy he still left the place tidy.

Just moved into a new property, and needed my TV able to receive Freeview, which involved fitting a new aerial and making all necessary connections. I kept losing the satellite signal because the dish had been fixed into the wall pointing rather than the brick and it had worked loose. I contacted David and he came within a couple of days. He was pleasant and got on with the job quickly, finishing in half an hour or so. He removed the dish and then made stronger fixings in the brick work. He had a special machine for checking the strength of the signal. He also filled in the pointing which the old fixing had broken and fixed the neighbour's cabling back onto the wall - without being asked to do this. I was very satisfied with the job. It was reassuring to know that he is a specialist in this work. He's not cheap but he does a good job and he also has an assitant with him to hold the ladder etc.

My fathers satellite dish stopped working. I found David who managed to arrive the same day and complete the job fast and without any mess. He was polite and the price was competitive.

David undertook a replacement of our old aerial with a new digital aerial and associated re-wiring and the TV is working better than it has in years, clear defined picture and brilliant reception. I employed this Company on the basis that it was a sole trader, who had received excellent reviews, rather than having an anonymous person employed by a large company. The work was to fit a TV wall mount and attach the TV. Connect 2 TV's to Sky Q and tune an old TV to receive the new services. I found the company to be professional, reliable clean and tidy. David is a good communicator, which I appreciated. I thought the price for the work to be very reasonable.

I asked David to check my decades-old aerial and replace it with a new one. He responded quickly with a quotation, arrived on time on the agreed day and was very considerate of my house, removing shoes, using dustsheets and moving any furniture that might have been caught by ladders being carried in and out. Prompt, clean, quick, tidy, neat, professional, polite... There's a long list of ways that I could describe the David English and the service received for installing the satellite dish/TV aerial. All of them positive. He offered advice on positioning the aerial, re positioned the TV, buried all the wires, left no dirt or mess, leaving us with a floating TV and seemingly 1001 channels (certainly more than the 10 we were getting with our indoor aerial before we had the aerial and satellite dish installed. Thoroughly impressed with the service. David and his colleague were both approachable, good at communicating prior to the installation and left us with an installation that looks as though it'll be here for a very long time.

This is a long due review for a job David completed at my house in January 2018. I needed to have: - a satellite dish re-positioned - aerial connection to be checked to get BT TV - various sockets tested He was very efficient and thorough in explaining how my connections worked. David did a brilliant job: he took down the wonky old aerial attached to the front of the house and neatly removed its unsightly cable threaded under the window sill, replacing it with a modern aerial attached to the chimney and running its cable discreetly behind our drainpipe and into the sitting room out of sight. He re-tuned the TV and PVR, made sure the Fire stick was working, and even tidied up the mess of cabling at the back of all the equipment. Used David English both to install multiple TV points several years ago and to fix a recent aerial problem caused by builders. Original installation was very neatly done with most cabling well hidden. Came very quickly to diagnose and fix the recent problem. Good, efficient service.

David installed satellite and aerial, fitted signal amplifier and distribution of digital TV and sky throughout my 5 bed, two living room house. He also wired cat 6 data feeds throughout, installed ceiling and wall speakers in several locations and wall hung 3 TVs and sound bar. David worked with precision throughout the project and co ordinated well with other trades who were on site. The job has been finished to a very high standard throughout and we are thoroughly pleased.

Mr English and his assistant came on the day he promised having given us a call the day before to give us a time. He took great care to check out what we wanted offering a couple of helpful options. The location of the cable was not straightforward and required clearing of some ivy. It was fitted neatly and securely. He then set up our televisions linking in to our internet. I originally contacted David to run Cat5e cabling externally for some PoE IP cameras. The work was carried out to a very high standard, with the external cabling run discreetly as possible and the patch panels inside the premises fitted cleanly to our office wall. Since that first job, I have commissioned David two more times: He replaced a dangerously fitted satellite dish installation, combining both the dish and standard UHF aerial onto a single, robust fixture. Finally, I had David move/re-run some internal cat6 data points in our home prior to some restructuring. During each job, David and his assistant were courteous, friendly and professional. He made sure I was completely happy with the work before packing up, allowing me to set up and test my cameras and perform iperf testing of the cat6 cable runs. If I ever need any more work done on my home home network, or for AV equipment, I'll definitely be giving David a call again.
