I was very impressed with the professionalism of Ensign from start to finish. The quote was competitive with other companies in the area. The job was booked in 8 weeks time and the work was done on that date. Richard and Team were excellent, they were considerate of the pets I had at home and to minimise mess in the house. They worked solidly for a long day to complete 95% of the work in just one day. The electrician was so helpful and did additional work in the house which had been agreed in advance. I am very pleased with the overall result, just awaiting a heavy downpour to check how quiet the new roof is. I would definitely recommend Ensign to anyone looking for a conservatory roof replacement.

(I agreed to amend my review posted 06/09/23 following resolution of issues by Ensign) We had an old conservatory which was pretty unusable throughout the year. We found Ensign on Which? TT and asked for a quote. Steve was great in the initial meeting, giving some good ideas and a sensible proposal. We were to have the roof replaced with a warm roof, an insulated fake wall and new triple glazing. I'd had concerns about foundations but such worries were dismissed. The final product has been brilliant. Looks great aesthetically. Much more practical and in use year round. Its really improved our home. The issue we had was that LABC wouldn't sign off the works because of concerns over the foundations. Ensign disappeared for long periods at a time with little contact or support. They didn't tell us about the LABC issue for six months at the point I chased LABC themselves. Then did nothing further for another six months or so until I got Which? involved. Eventually they did resolve it, getting engineers calculations and sign off from LABC. Its a shame, the final product has been excellent and in that regard I'd highly rate them. But the customer service in resolving this issue afterwards was really disappointing and caused great frustration over a period of nearly 18 months. If they had been more proactive in resolving it and supporting us I'd have given 5 stars throughout.

After many quotes we decided to use Ensign after a visit from Steve who made us feel we had found the right company. There was no hard sell and from start to finish the installation and care was second to none. The workmen installed a solid roof replacing the cold plastic existing roof. We also had a big window installed and a large section of brickwork removed. The quality of work and finish was excellent, workers tided up every day and left their tools stacked neatly to one side ready for the next day. The electricians, plasterer and other trades turned up on time and made the the installation run very smoothly and on time. The finish of pointing, lead work, drainage, plastering, electrics etc all was faultless. I have waited to go through a winter before reviewing to get a good feel for the performance of the new roof and I must the say its kept the heat in really well. I'm blown away as to how effective the new roof is. The outside appearance is brilliant and ties in with the existing tiles nicely. Overall this company is a must for a roof replacement, not only is the quality brilliant it was the best on price compared to the national companies and other local firms. I'm so glad I choose this firm to carry out the installation and Steve was true to his word and delivered a brilliant return for our outlay and have made us very happy by transforming our home. I'd recommend this gem of a company to anyone thinking a new roof or any other service they provide.

In 30 years of being a homeowner, I have never used a more efficient, diligent and reliable company. The communication was first class from quoting to job completion. The fitters, plasterer and electrician used were punctual, polite, efficient and tidy. Having seen a finished roof from Ensign elsewhere, I was happy to pay the nominal amount that was the difference between the cheapest quote and theirs and I am glad I did. If you are considering a conservatory roof replacement, save yourself the stress and use Ensign.

I have used Ensign twice now and each time their service and efficiency has been top draw. The product is high quality and provides best value for money. I would highly recommend this firm to anyone thinking of replacing their conservatory roof and windows.

Ensign replaced the conservatory roof with new timber-framed warm roof. Initial contact with the company was satisfactory and I did not feel pressurised to go ahead. Work commenced ahead of schedule and was completed in 3 days with the site left reasonably tidy and all rubbish and old roof materials removed. Overall, very satisfied with end result and would be happy to recommend the company to others. Difficult to comment on value for money. It seemed to me quite expensive compared to how much I paid in 2018 for re-roofing the whole house (sixty four percent of cost compared to twenty percent of roof area). However, it seems to be the going rate for this type of work and I was prepared to pay to have a more habitable room.

Great very professional job done and during the process we were kept informed of all dates. Due to a miscommunication on our part we had to have an alteration done which Ensign did with little fuss and great goodwill. Highly recommended. Richard and team to be commended

A considerable amount of work to do in unhelpful weather conditions, up to 8 people on site at key moments and a core team of four worked non-stop to get the orangery installed and watertight after just day two. We were impressed at how well it all fitted together, the quality of components was impressive, the teams fought the weather and kept the site tidy at the same time. Now we are using it, it is warm and welcoming, and we love using our new usable space. Also worth a mention, our neighbours were impressed with the team working on the build and were very complimentary about them. Thanks to Steve for helping us to find a design, which we are more than happy with, Sean, Lee, J, Connor our main team, John the plasterer, the electricians and the other team who came to help with the roof and not forgetting Richard who managed the build and Joe who also helped with the organising.

Very pleased with the work. Worked very fast but rather untidy. Did not respect the house when entering to use the facilities.

The work was done exactly according to the promised schedule and there were no administrative difficulties. and no variations to the agreed price. The team who did the work were highly efficient, very friendly and helpful. We are very pleased with what has been achieved and going by our experience have no reservations in recommending Ensign to others.

We used Ensign to replace our conservatory roof because they are a local company not a franchise of a larger company. The price was competitive and compared favourably with quotes from other companies. Ensign were always on hand and replied to our queries from initial consultation to final sign off promptly and to our satisfaction. The construction team were courteous and hardworking and the workmanship was carefully carried out and the site cleaned and in good order upon completion. A couple of very minor niggles were also dealt with promptly and to our satisfaction. In terms of aesthetics, the finished conservatory looks just how we wanted and blends in well with the house. In terms of heat efficiency, I can tell the difference already and now we have a room that can be used all year round. We recommended Ensign to some friends even before the work was finished and still stand by that recommended.

Ensign Roofing fitted a New roof to our conservatory. From the initial quotation to the completion of fitting the roof the service has been excellent. They were very competitive on the price and very professional in what they advised they would carry out. All the tradesmen that they used were very polite nothing was too much trouble. The work has been completed to a very high standard and we now use the conservatory all year round not just in the summer. if you are thinking of having a new conservatory or a new roof fitted then I would highly recommend Ensign roofing for the work.

We have just had work completed to install a new roof on our conservatory plus removal of our adjoining patio doors and replastering work. We have been so impressed with the quality of service from Ensign. Steve came out initially to price up the job: no hard sell, listened to our requirements and offered sound advice. We were really happy with the price he quoted which fitted our budget. Richard, the installations manager, was easily contactable and nothing was too much trouble. He was very efficient and everything we discussed was put into action and completed on time. All the tradespeople who came out to work on the roof, the plastering, the interior electrics and complete finishing touches such as skirting boards, were polite, reliable and ensured the work was finished to a high standard. Again, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to Jasmine in the office also for fast and efficient paperwork and clear communication. We would not hesitate to recommend Ensign and we are absolutely delighted with the finished job. What was a cold, damp conservatory which we could not really use for many months of the year, is now an integrated, modern, bright additional room which we can use all year round!

Excellent company the work was carried out to a very high standard, and any concerns or questions I had they put my mind at ease every step of the way. The builders carrying out the work (Conor, Jay and Darren) were very friendly and hard working, I cannot fault this company. I'm glad I made the right choice in choosing them to transform my conservatory it's now a functional room we can use all year round. I Would highly recommended.

We would definitely recommend this company. From our first contact to completion every one we dealt with were extremely helpful, friendly and efficient. The work was carried out on schedule and took shape rapidly, we are very pleased with our new conservatory and the replacement windows and doors. We contacted them shortly afterwards to inform them that one of the doors needed adjustment which they came back and sorted promptly.

We found Ensign conservatories very accommodating, a very friendly team. The two guys who built the roof were very professional and friendly. Even when a slight problem arose they were reassuring and rectified the issue immediately. This plasterer was meticulous and the electricians lovely. All in all a good weeks work.

From the moment I contacted Ensign to make an enquiry the service was extremely professional and swift. We were keen to have our conservatory roof replaced due to our personal circumstances, my husband would at some point in the future need a downstairs bedroom. Ensign did an incredible job of fitting our work in extremely quickly and sadly we needed that bedroom sooner than we thought. The lads, Jay and Conner, who came and fitted the roof were excellent, hard working and polite; nothing was too much trouble. My husband was in hospital the week the roof was replaced and the lads were very kind and supportive whilst working as hard as they did. The electrician and plasterer worked hard too. When the roof was completed we couldn't be more pleased, it's amazing, a totally transformed room. We had one little query which we flagged: this was solved immediately. We had 3 different companies visit us to quote for a new replacement conservatory roof. Ensign were the only company who showed real interest in what we wanted, gave us some additional ideas and options, explained everything in detail and were far more competitively and realistically priced. Ensign fitted a new 'P' shape conservatory roof and removed a supporting wall to open up the kitchen into the conservatory area. At times it was a bit manic as we had 2 roof fitters, 2 builders, 2 electricians and a plasterer on site at the same time, but everyone did what they needed to do. The job took 7 days to complete (5 days for the roofers + 2 days internal plastering). From the start we pushed for building notice on the roof and structural wall opening as this was an important factor for us and Ensign did exactly that. It was reassuring to personally see the council inspector on-site during the work and re-visit after completion to sign off the work. I think it helped that we were on-site most days which allowed us to talk to the fitters, builders and electricians and make sure the fine details were captured and nothing was missed. It was also good to witness the guys leak test the roof after completion with a hose pipe for 15 minutes! Overall, a great service from all that are associated with Ensign. We are extremely pleased and would highly recommend Ensign Conservatory Roof Solutions to anyone wanting a new conservatory or replacement conservatory roof!

We are extremely pleased with the work carried out by all the members of staff at Ensign. The small crew who worked on our project were all professional, polite and worked really hard to complete the work on time despite the poor weather conditions. And we would like to thank Richard for his hard work in bringing this project together on schedule despite a slight hiccup at the beginning - he is a credit to the company! We are very pleased with our new conversatory and would highly recommend Ensign to other potential customers who are looking for a professional and relaible company.

Ensign installed a ‘P shaped WarmDek’ replacement roof and we would recommend this company to anyone contemplating an upgrade to their conservatory. We are very pleased with the end result which makes our room lighter and warmer than before. We have never used our conservatory as much. Despite some initial misunderstandings after discovery of some minor faults, Steve Dodd the Ensign contracts manger intervened redeeming the situation and we are very happy with the resolution of these. Fitters Darren and Dave were skillful, professional and courteous when they finalized the build.

Ensign updated our veranda converting it into an orangery with canopy. They also fitted a porch to the front of our bungalow. We are really pleased and very happy, the finished job has exceeded our expectations. Throughout they communicated well. The whole team were nice and friendly, polite and very tidy.

From initial appointment to completion we were really pleased with the service and products along with suggestions to make the new tiles match the main roof. They arrived on time, we’re tidy and left the area clean and tidy. We really like the roof and keylite window, which is already making a difference.

After having Ensign build our new Conservatory three years ago when we decided it was time for a new porch we only trusted Ensign for the Job. We were delighted with the whole job, the brickwork matched our house completely. The finishing touch the plastering was perfection & I have never experienced such tidy work. I was worried the conservatory wouldn't be warm enough once I took the conservatory door out, but it is as warm as toast. Definitely recommend this organisation and their product. Well, what can I say other than absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Their customer service is second to none, the lads from the installers, to the plasterer, to the electricians, to the girls in the office, are all professional, trustworthy and leave your home clean once finished. The insulated roof is miles better and heat retention is noticeable immediately. Ensign is the go to company, no one else comes near for customer service, cost and professionalism. I would highly recommend Ensign to all those thinking of an installation. Great workmanship from start to finish.
