Highly recommend this company! ! From the first initial contact through to completion we reieved the highest quality of service & work. John & his team were absolutely brilliant, super efficient & very highly skilled. They were the first company we contacted for a quote & the only as we were very impressed from the get go. They were prompt with making contact & sending our quote over. The team had a strict 8.00 to 17.00 workday, completing the driveway in just 4 days to the highest standard. John and his team replaced an old concrete drive, lawn, and part of an L-shape flower bed with a new resin-bound drive totalling approx. 100 square metres. They also built a new retaining wall for a section where the ground next to the drive is 40cm lower and made some changes to the rainwater drainage. I could tell that this company was a cut above the others I had approached for a quote when John sent my quote less than an hour after he had visited the site to measure up and discuss details. Later he showed great flexibility when the pencil kerb I had chosen to run along the front edge next to the pavement was out of stock and would take six weeks to be delivered. There being no alternative pencil kerb close enough in colour, he was willing to change that edge to bricks (the same as the sides) so that the work could start the following week. He also agreed to change the layout of the remaining part of the flower bed after the lawn had been excavated. Work started promptly at 8 a.m. on all of the six days they were here and usually finished around 5 p.m., although later than that on two of the days (one because the asphalt delivery was an hour and a half late). I couldn't be more satisfied with both the workforce and the work they did.

As my first big solo project I was very nervous about picking the wrong company and doing something I would regret. I could not be happier with John and the team from Equity Drives. The work was completed in excellent time and exceeded my expectations. The quote was laid out clearly so I could make an informed decision, there was no pressure to commit to anything I didn’t want to do and even when I must have asked far too many annoying questions I was never made to feel like I was a burden. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. The follow up visit after everything had been completed to make sure I was completely happy with the work carried out was really appreciated. We recently had our driveway installed by Equity Drives at our home in Buckhurst Hill, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Managed by John, his firm demonstrated a high level of professionalism and attention to detail throughout the entire process. From the outset, John impressed us by personally visiting our home to take measurements and provide images of completed projects similar to ours. The quote we received was detailed and professional, which gave us confidence in their service. Once we accepted the quote, we didn’t have to wait long to get started. We had a specific request to bury some cables for an EV charger, and John assured us that this wouldn’t be a problem. True to his word, his team installed the cabling per our electrician’s requirements without any issues. The tradesmen who carried out the work were punctual, diligent, and professional. They were also courteous to our neighbours, minimizing disruption during the project. The job was completed within a short timeframe, and the quality of work was outstanding. The men worked tirelessly and with great care to ensure the driveway was finished to a high standard. I had a large patio area with walled flower beds and garden path constructed at the rear of my property and a new driveway installed at the front. The men turned up on time every day and worked quickly to complete the whole job in only 9 days. Two years ago I had paving laid at the front and side of my house by incompetent builders. When it became a trip hazard and I could no longer live with it I did my research and found Equity Drives Limited. John replied to my email immediately and came to see me the next day to do a survey, make recommendations and give me a quote. I trusted John from the word go and his team of workmen were able to start earlier than the date originally given. The team worked from morning until evening everyday until the job was completed and they left every evening leaving no mess whatsoever . Their workmanship is undeniably first class and John and the team have restored my faith in the building industry. There are still great people out there and we just have to find them. Thank you John and thank you to all your workmen for their outstanding work, attention to detail, their courtesy and approachable manners. Our driveway was a mess. It was breaking up and uneven. After reviewing traders on Which? and other sites, we requested quotes for the work. Equity Drives came came to inspect the job and gave us a price which was in line with other quotes received. We preferred Equity as their offer better matched our requirement. Work started on the agreed date with the workers arriving punctually each day. They worked hard and were polite, cleaning up after themselves. They broke out all the existing concrete, removed a low wall and our front door step, and dug out down to the agreed depth. Type 1 laid on top of membrane with sand etc on top of that. All compressed with a wacker plate. They sorted out problems with the tube carrying our network cable, at my request. A new front door step with two steps instead of the original one was built, rain water drainage was installed at the entrance to the drive feeding into a soakaway and a new fence installed in place of the original wall. The block pavers were then laid. They also laid a narrow strip of concrete just inside our gates into the back garden, at my request, as the original concrete was breaking up and making it difficult to open those gates. They worked quickly, without fuss or undue mess, discussed any issues with us, all to our complete satisfaction. In all, we are completely satisfied with the end result. The job was completed sooner than originally suggested and on budget.

John and his team at Equity Drives were really excellent from start to finish. I had a large crescent shaped in and out driveway with a side area and passage down the side of the house all excavated, levelled and premium block paving fitted with threshold drainage channel all along the house wall including 2 bow bay windows. A raised D-shaped lawn all edged finished the job. Their quality of work and attention to detail is second to none. As evidence my neighbour immediately had John do his drive! I wholeheartedly recommend Equity Drives. 10/10 on all fronts!

We hired Equity to replace the grouting on our patio, a small repair to a tile and jet wash it. They did the job but I had to ask them to return to re-do the tile repair as it had been done in the wrong colour and the jet washing was not throughly done. They returned quickly and sorted the repair but were not able to improve on the jet wash finish, which had been done to a much higher standard by another company the previous year. My main issue was the aggressive manner in which they began demanding payment before I had even had a chance to return home and check the job. As it transpired, it did need redoing so I am glad I was not bullied into paying sooner. The incessant calling and texting over 2 days despite me providing a timeline for checking and paying became threatening and unpleasant and I cannot recommend using them both on grounds of quality or approach. Sadly, very unsettling to experience.

Having my drive completed by Equity drives was the best decision I could have made. From my first meeting with Danny he was knowledgable and helpful and I knew I wanted to work with them. I had various other quotes but none compared with Equity. I was very particular with what I wanted and Danny was patient sending me samples on numerous occasions until I got exactly what I wanted. Other companies quoted two weeks to complete the work where Equity completed in 2 days!!The team were punctual, courteous clean and tidy.
