When the extension work to my bungalow was carried out in 2020, the builder used Ian, from ETE Electricals, to carry out the wiring etc for the new extension and other work on my bungalow. So, when I, retrospectively, wanted a new wall-mounted, electric radiator fitted, Ian was the obvious person to use. Unfortunately, what seemed to be a fairly straight forward job, turned out to be a bit of a marathon. The first unit that the supplier sent didn't have the correct screws and nuts etc, so Ian had to think how to get round the problem and then came back to fit this very heavy unit on the wall, so it wouldn't come off! It transpired that the supplier had sent me a faulty unit, so they agreed to send a replacement unit. Ian came back a third time to fit the replacement unit successfully at the beginning of January 2024. No grumbling from Ian about this. I am very pleased with my wall mounted electric radiator.

I have used ETE Electrical Contractors many times before and have always been more than satisfied with their service. Ian Lewis is a nice guy who is always punctual, helpful and does not over-charge. Would definitely recommend.

Downstairs rewire, hob and shower rewire. The quote given was accurate when the final invoice was received. We are very pleased with the work Ian and his team completed. Ian is courteous, clear and to the point. Not only that but he is very knowledgeable and knows what needs to be done to comply with current legislation. Ian was recommended by my plumber and he did a fantastic job with regards to changing my extractor fan to a higher quality. He was very responsive to my questions and gave detailed and in depth suggestions with regards to what needs doing to rectify the condensation problem, I was having in my en-suite bathroom… which was causing mould growth. I have used ETE Electrical Contractors before so I knew they had a high standard of work. On this occasion, they went above and beyond to ensure the installation of an EV Charger and a new consumer unit as tidy, quick and efficient as possible. There was an issue with the charger which they sorted with the manufacturer and quickly replaced a faulty component to ensure all was working properly. On completion, the house was fully tested and I now have all the certifications to show an electrically safe property which is great peace of mind. I have no hesitation in recommending ETE for any domestic and industrial electrical work.

ETE did a landlord's 5-year check on an old and complicated cottage, identified several things that urgently needed putting right then carried out the necessary work. As previously, when doing the landlord's check 5 years ago and doing a complete rewire of another old cottage, Ian and his team were professional, considerate, friendly and very good at explaining in laymen's words what they were doing and why. I would definitely recommend them.

Ian and his team were very quick to respond to a request for a quote to complete a rewire if an old cottage I had recently purchased. After coming over end completing a survey of the property an estimate was quickly provided. Once the work was started the team provided updates on the work in progress and any issues that came up were quickly reviewed and a plan to resolve agreed. Ian Lewis from ETE arrived on time with a co-worker to carry out work required which was to remove the consumer unit from under the stairs and to site a new consumer unit in the garage, he did this but while doing his final test he found there to be a problem with the incoming main supply, he contacted UK Power Networks who came out the same day to sort the problem, so I thank Ian for sorting that out which could have turned into a serious problem. He presented his invoice which was for the price quoted, more than satisfied with his professionalism and his excellent standard of work.

Ian and his team installed Ethernet cabling to our home. The work was carried out as required and in a friendly and professional manner. We would happily use ETE Electrical again.

I called in the morning and Ian was here by 3pm despite being busy. He carried out the work politely and to a high standard. I would most certainly use him again and highly recommend on the service I received.

I called ETE when I lost all downstairs lights but not sockets, they came out the next day to have a look, they said the light in the cellar was faulty. The light was disconnected until we could arrange to be in, they have just been and replaced the light and sorted out a dodgy socket. Good jobs sorted out with no fuss and a pleasant electrician, I would definitely recommend this firm.

Ian Lewis of ETE Electrical is a first class professional in every respect. He and his co-worker carried out a partial rewiring of a rental flat to a very high standard to be compliant with the latest safety regulations and a safety certificate was issued soon after the completion of the work. His communication with me as a client showed his extensive knowledge and experience. Ian arrived on time and was very careful regarding Covid precautions, safe distancing etc. He was very professional, meticulous & tidy and addressed all the issues we faced regarding our malfunctioning Economy 7 setup. Ian from ETE replaced the consumer unit in my house. I can recommend him and the firm. He explained what he needed to do when he came to give an estimate. The estimate came promptly and he charged that amount. Ian was very careful with social distancing whilst in my home. He arrived at the appointed time, was polite, got on with the work and cleared up afterwards. I would gladly use the firm again, and recommend them.

Ian arrived at the agreed time, started work immediately. He disconnected the old appliance, took it out with care and fitted the new oven with same great care he has shown all along. He was meticulous through out. He has been very honest and fair with his fees/charges. He set the time and tested the new oven and offered to take our old oven away form the kitchen floor and put it in garage for us. without his sincere help, our old oven would have stayed on our kitchen floor causing inconvenience and hardship. He has earned my faith and will ask him to do other jobs for us.

Where to begin? Bought a house, found many many issues, DIY and Non-compliant wiring and terminations. Who you gonna call? No not Ghostbusters (although they would be pretty good im sure), but even better, call Mr ETE! for a quote, you wont regret it. Start the volins......It started a long time ago in a distant past, no no, stop that this is a review! Ok, so we identified many issues as ive said, no CPC, Lighting issues where between 2 light points, the DIYers used a cable but use the earth for the live feed (to be able to turn on 2 lights at the same time) when they should have used a 3 core+cpc, various sockets, old and decrepid, termination issues and arching damage. This all showed up in the vigorous testing Mr ETE undertook. Knowing the issues, Mr ETE, still took on the challenge of sorting out these faults, re-wiring part circuits, and making sure the house wont catch fire. Mr ETE also undertook 1st and 2nd fixing for our new dining room and installed a supply and DB to an external outbuilding. He will shortly be doing the 1st/2nd fix for our new kitchen. In summary, if you want someone who is anal about electrical installation and fault finding works, Mr ETE is your man! He is very thorough and conscientious and will not put his tools down until the job is done and he knows you are safe. He will litterally bend over backwards to get things done. He is priobably the best sparks i know, (crying now) hence he is the only chap that will touch my house.

ETE installed new 18th edition distribution boards at our home. They attended as promised to survey the work required which was fully explained to us, they provided a detailed quotation and timetable both of which were kept to. The works was extremely neatly and professionally carried out and we consider ourselves fortunate to have found ETE and have no hesitation in recommending them.

Ian and his team are efficient and courteous, and have been super easy to work with on my renovation project since they stick to time and budget with zero fuss. It’s clear straight away that their work is quality with that little bit extra time being spent to get things just so.

ETE electrical did a full rewire on our 1920 property. From original quote to completion there was excellent communication. Quality of Work The work standard was excellent everything done to a high quality finish much improved from it original state. Cleanliness The area where they were working were left very clean. A rewire can be a potentially a messy job but I was pleasantly suprise of how clean everything was after there days work. Puntuality Ian, Mark and Dave arrived on time everyday factoring in heavy traffic of where I live and got to the job straight way. Professionalism Very professional had all the quality tools, knowhow and years of experience for the job our house is much improved and safer after the rewire. Customer Service Excellent customer service good communication throughout no nasty surprises when It came to the final bill. Showed us how to use the new board and smoke alarms and even stayed late on the last Friday to replace a faulty ceiling fan motor. Even moving our furniture about and putting carpets back properly shows good workmanship. Cost A rewire is a huge job to a property one of the biggest and thryve been consistent to the quote. Very good value for money for the workmanship provided. Overall You hear a lot of horror stories of traders and with ETE you won’t get any of these at all. No shortcuts would highly recommend and would use again.

Sockets in garage and utility room were replaced and rewired with a new final ring circuit installed. Also the light fittings in the garage were replaced. The work was completed within the 2 day estimate and to the quoted price. Everything looks really good and has been installed to a very high standard. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Ian had worked for us before so we had no hesitation in asking him to supply & fit a 3phase spur and socket for us. He managed to fit us in earlier than originally quoted and got on without issue. Once completed he assisted us by finding a fault on the equipment that we were connecting to the new socket and rectifying the fault for us. All work done within the original quote.

Partial re-wire of a one-bedroom flat. Carried out very efficiently, started and finished exactly as agreed and no surprises on the bill. Managed to remove kitchen tiles with no damage so they could be replaced without a full re-tiling job. Would recommend.

I am very pleased with the work Ian and his team have carried out. He has delivered superb customer service, going out of his way to source an electrical socket to match the others in our living area, whilst also finding us a new extractor fan at a better rate than was originally quoted. Installed a 3 phase supply to new area of our building and wired up our new spray booth, lighting and extraction and powered roller shutter door. Very professional with regard to calculating power draw and lighting level which will be available. Installed on time and to quoted cost.
