FlameCare has been servicing and insuring gas boilers since April 2004, providing customers with the peace of mind that their appliances are covered by the FlameCare guarantee.

Originally, we only offered cover to customers whose boiler we had installed. However, from 2010 we decided to offer cover to everyone, whether we installed their boiler or not.

We have a customer base which covers Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire, and a team of dedicated, fully-trained, fully insured, professionals who ensure that work is carried out to the highest possible standard.

I found Flamecare a year ago to service my boiler and took out a contract with them which includes an annual service. This was satisfactorily completed in January this year but the engineer suggested that I should think about replacing my boiler as it is almost 25 years old. The office gave me quotes for three Ideal boilers of varying sizes and warranty periods. I chose the one with the longest warranty, being a pensioner: this was also the largest KWh output. The office staff were helpful at all times when I contacted them and the installer (Jack) and his apprentice turned up on time on day one to do the installation. There was a lot to do as the old system included a Thermastore hot water cylinder which is quite complex and needed a lot of pipe cutting and joining in the airing cupboard. Jack, I have to say, was very good at explaining things as he went along and worked through the day with no meal breaks and at the end left all their work areas spotless and took all the rubbish away. I have since had a visit to check the flue gasses and a book to keep a record at annual service time. I am a great believer in using local traders and as Chesterfield is only about 12 miles by road from home, I am happy to call that local and recommend this company to you.

Issues with both my combi boiler and toilet cistern dealt with promptly and efficiently. The service engineers arrived when they said they would and were quick and professional in dealing with the issues presented. Thanks to both Jack and Sean for their excellent work.

The owner of the company, Simon is both arrogant and rude, his attitude is ‘if you don't like it you know what you can do’. The engineers repeatedly fail to turn up despite making an appointment. When engineers are unable to attend the company does not even call out of courtesy to let customers know. Today despite being told an engineer would be out quickly no one turned up and I received no telephone call explaining why and this has happened multiple times. Even when an engineer does come out they do not fix the issue and I am forced to call back days later. Several times someone has supposedly fixed my toilet, tap and drain but clearly they do not know what they are doing as I have the same ongoing issues. I certainly would not recommend and I will be demanding the cancellation of my policy.

They were brilliant. Our boiler broke down on the weekend and they were out within 3 hours. They got us up and running again for the weekend without charge which kept us going until they could purchase the required part on the Monday. On the Monday they came to fix the boiler and they were proficient and professional. The support and service from both the engineer and the administrator was excellent.

Very happy with service received. Needed a new boiler as the old one was a bit of an antique and desperately needed replacing. I had several quotes but was most satisfied with the one from Simon. He pointed me in the direction of a boiler that comes with a long warranty. I was impressed by his knowledge and reassured about some of my property's quirks, which others who had been out to see me had done that "tutting... difficult job" etc. No such problem with this firm. Engineers were on time on the day of works, very impressed with how quickly the installation was dealt with. Afterwards they took away the old boiler, packaging and cleaned up. I was even more grateful that one of the engineers did me a favour and put up a bathroom cabinet for me. He didn't have to but has saved me some hassle. Very happy and now very toasty!
