About
At Forbes Tree Care we run a team of highly qualified, experienced tree surgeons working in north London. We can carry out any tree related service you require, including tree pruning, tree felling and tree planting. We provide impartial advice on what’s best for you and your tree.
We are qualified in Professional Tree Inspection (PTI) and trained to use Quantified Tree Risk Assessment (QTRA). We can provide risk assessments and mortgage reports.
We are Associate Members of the Arboricultural Association.
We are fully insured and all our work is carried out to BS3998: 2010 and BS5837: 2012.
Based in North London, Forbes Tree Care Ltd was founded in 2010 by Sean Galton. A passion for conservation was the motivation to form a company that could maintain and care for trees in the urban environment.
We put the environment at the forefront of our work, reducing emissions and reusing tree products wherever possible. We appreciate the importance of safety and trees in the city.

I required a dead plum tree taken down and chopped for firewood together with a holly and pyracantha hedge reduced by 1 metre. Alfie Bines Gardens recommended Forbes Treecare. I called Sean and a visit to look at work and provide quote was arranged within 24 hours. The quote was received within a couple of days, accepted and the date was agreed. The team of two arrived as arranged at 8.30am and worked solidly without a break until completion at 3pm. All work was efficiently completed and the waste was removed. Helpfully the firewood was carried up the lawn and stacked as requested. In summary, a highly skilled job carried out professionally.

This was a great tree service team. So pleased. They came on time, were profession, thoughtful and considerate. Large apple tree crown reduction

We had inherited a large apple tree in our garden and were unsure as to how much of it should be pruned in order to keep the tree healthy. We’d already had a quote from another firm but weren’t impressed. Sean came and gave us great advice which worked best for us and the long term health of the tree - and the job was very competitively priced too. The work was completed within a few weeks & we’re extremely happy with the results. We would highly recommend Forbes Treecare & will be back to use their services in future.

Having appointed Forbes Treecare to fell two very large (15m and 20m) poplar trees, we found the whole team to be very efficient and a pleasure to work with. We got the impression that the whole team enjoyed their work as well as working together. They were very knowledgeable and professional. They protected the inside of the house so as to carry through all the waste and tidied up all the debris from the tree felling. Their cost was very competitive too. I would strongly recommend them!

An olive tree, a couple of feet tall when planted, had grown over three storeys high and was in need of a haircut and pruning. We saw a Forbes Treecare team working nearby and checked the excellent Which? Trusted Trader for information and reviews about the company. A reasonable quote was given after an inspection of the tree and the company undertook to obtain council permission for the work. On the day, two employees turned up at the time stipulated, explained what they were going to do and made sure we were happy. The work was carried out efficiently and neatly. The level of knowledge from the team leader was impressive. We received excellent service from Forbes Treecare and would heartily recommend the company.

We needed to have two sycamore trees felled as these were restricting the light to neighbouring gardens and in danger of undermining garden walls. A three man team undertook the work and completed the job in 2 to 3 hours. The trees were fully shredded on site and the area surrounding the work fully cleared of debris. The stumps were treated to prevent regrowth. The team were extremely competent and polite and the cost of the service lower than we expected having tried to estimate the cost using online sources. I thoroughly recommend Forbes Treecare.
