We had inherited a large apple tree in our garden and were unsure as to how much of it should be pruned in order to keep the tree healthy. We’d already had a quote from another firm but weren’t impressed. Sean came and gave us great advice which worked best for us and the long term health of the tree - and the job was very competitively priced too. The work was completed within a few weeks & we’re extremely happy with the results. We would highly recommend Forbes Treecare & will be back to use their services in future.

Having appointed Forbes Treecare to fell two very large (15m and 20m) poplar trees, we found the whole team to be very efficient and a pleasure to work with. We got the impression that the whole team enjoyed their work as well as working together. They were very knowledgeable and professional. An olive tree, a couple of feet tall when planted, had grown over three storeys high and was in need of a haircut and pruning. We saw a Forbes Treecare team working nearby and checked the excellent Which? Trusted Trader for information and reviews about the company. A reasonable quote was given after an inspection of the tree and the company undertook to obtain council permission for the work. On the day, two employees turned up at the time stipulated, explained what they were going to do and made sure we were happy. The work was carried out efficiently and neatly. The level of knowledge from the team leader was impressive. We received excellent service from Forbes Treecare and would heartily recommend the company.

We needed to have two sycamore trees felled as these were restricting the light to neighbouring gardens and in danger of undermining garden walls. A three man team undertook the work and completed the job in 2 to 3 hours. The trees were fully shredded on site and the area surrounding the work fully cleared of debris. The stumps were treated to prevent regrowth. The team were extremely competent and polite and the cost of the service lower than we expected having tried to estimate the cost using online sources. I thoroughly recommend Forbes Treecare.

We had trees on the boundary of our property pruned. The workers ere punctual, polite, helpful and friendly. We were very pleased with the work completed and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

I called Forbes Treecare , among others to get a quote for removal of a Sycamore tree causing cracks to front of our house. Sean attended and provided a written quote swiftly. Works were arranged for a couple of weeks later, at my convenience and Sean and his team arrived promptly and carried out the tree removal efficiently and properly. All tree debris was removed and the area was left clean and tidy. A hassle free transaction, I would have no hesitation in recommending Forbes Treecare to anyone and would use them again for any further works needed without hesitation.

My wife and I had two trees which were getting too big for their boots and were also a bit tangled. To make things worse they were between a garden fence and a fishpond which gave difficult access. After having visits from four companies we chose Sean's Forbes Treecare. Sean told us they were quite busy and couldn't do the job straight away. (I like to deal with companies who 'have a lot on'). As the trees had taken 15 years to grow to their size I considered a little longer wouldn't matter. Sean sent two men who made easy work of it. They covered the large-ish pond with a tarp to stop sawdust, etc, getting to our many fish. They were obviously top professionals. They were most considerate and helpful throughout and did a pretty thorough clean-up job. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

So we got Sean from Forbes Tree Care on recommendation from a friend. On first meeting, he was very knowledgeable and amenable. We explained what we wanted doing. He said he would get back to us with a quote in a couple of days which he duly did with a date to start work. About a week later I got a text saying they had a cancellation could they start tomorrow. Which was fine with me. On the agreed date his workers turned up on time and were very pleasant and knowledgeable. After they started I got a further text from Sean saying they could complete the whole job in one day brilliant. I got home from work and everything was done and they had left the job site spotless. I have already recommended them to both my neighbours. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone

We had work done on our 60/70ft lime tree, reduction in branches and some height taken off. The team were professional and very tidy. The garden was tidier than when they arrived! They were friendly and went through the procedure on the day to make sure that they were doing the right thing. They put protective sheets down in the house and took down pictures off the wall just incase. This is the best price I have ever been quoted for tree work and have paid much more elsewhere. I would highly recommend them, and I will definitely be using them again.

Forbes were recommended to us. Do not use cheap alternatives. Organised efficient service - taking down two trees, reducing size of 3 others, all roots removed. Could not be more pleased with the work. Considering it is December you would not know that several workmen/women had been in our garden. Real care taken, all rubbish removed. Cleared everything away. Would recommend and definitely use again. Very pleased we found this company.

Forbes worked on a large lime tree I had in my backgarden stealing all my sunlight. I contacted Sean back in summer and we agreed to address it once winter hit. My house has been recently refurbished and the team did an excellent job of minimising mess which is no easy task when you are getting rid of a 15 meter tree through the front door. Friendly, efficient and professional I just cant fault them! Thanks team!

Forbes Tree Care felled a dead tree, tidied up an overgrown elder and took height off some overgrown shrubs. The team arrived on time and confirmed the details of the job. They explained what they would do in detail. They introduced themselves to the neighbours to make people feel comfortable with them on the borders. Whilst they were with me, they also helped dig up an old stump and move some garden furniture. After the job, they cleaned up so you couldn’t tell they’d been. The stand out part of their service was the friendliness of the team. I really enjoyed having them in the garden for a few hours. I can’t wait for the trees to get overgrown again so that they can come back over! Would definitely recommend.

We are a block of flats in Barnet, and needed 10 large trees on our premises (oaks, horse chestnuts etc.) professionally lopped. Difficulties included many trees being on a main road and having a bus stop / busy pavement under some of the trees. Sean's initial visit was a big seller - intelligent, knowledgeable, plenty of advice given - but best of all, an obvious confidence that the job could be done. The Quote was complete, well laid out & reasonable (next to lowest of 4 suppliers we selected). The work was scheduled for, and completed in, a two day window. Sean and his 7 companions were here by 8.15 each morning for a prompt start. And they completed the job on time despite some appalling conditions - sporadic heavy rain and 30-40 mph winds - not good when you're at the top of a tree higher than a three story house. The interface with the general public on the pavement / at the bus stop was handled well, with safety always in mind. The clean away after the job was very thorough. We were very happy with the work done & would happily recommend Forbes Treecare to others - indeed, we have just done so!

Properly explained process during visit for estimate. Exceptional tree cutter and first rate work carried out by him and his two team companions. Strong protective sheeting laid out in the house. Care was taken moving through the narrow hallway with large amounts of cuttings, and clearing up the garden. Excellent work.

A pleasant team of tree surgeons who arrived promptly to trim two trees and remove ivy. The work was carried out to a professional standard with safety harnesses etc. worn. Branches were taken away and the place left tidy. The agreed schedule and budget was kept.

Sean came round to quote a couple of times as we were being indecisive. He was the only quote we got that was comfortable with grinding out stumps and getting machine through our narrow, long flat. His quote was fair and he did the planning application for us, as we live in a conservation area. He was knowledgeable regarding the local council and impressive. On the day, his team arrived on time and were organised, professional and careful, led by Patrick. They were positive and seemed confident. We have a long, narrow hallway and they had to remove three trees from our garden including grinding out the stumps, and remove all waste through the front door. I was amazed how well they protected our newly refurbished flat (new wooden floors, kitchen and completely renovated) with ease. No damage done. All done in one day and payment terms reasonable. I would recommend this company to anyone. We have had a lot of work done in our home and this lot compare favourably!

We first secured Sean's help with hedges and a pear tree in the garden 8 years ago. He was then a one-man band. The team did a fantastic job on our front trees. They had checked with local council planning and reviewed and advised this in line with our thoughts on how to thin our trees.
