Vicky and Emma offered a great service - from design to installation. We live in a characterful cottage with a compact kitchen. By exploring design options and selecting the appropriate range with Vicky and Emma, we have a beautiful kitchen that is the envy of our family and friends. Funktional Kitchens Ltd did an excellent job fitting our new kitchen, their guidance and professionalism from the planning stage to the end was second to none. Vicky and Emma were very helpful and ensured that every attention detail was met during the dismantleing and installation, their coordination during this time went smothly, The fitters were very tidy using clear communication during the whole process. We are very happy with our new kitchen.

As most do, we got quotes from a few different companies for our new kitchen. Our experience with those well-known firms varied. With Funktional Kitchens, we felt like we were truly getting a personalised design experience rather than just a sales pitch. In honesty, I expected Funktional Kitchens to be out of our price range, but the initial quote was in line with others we received. Vicky and Emma know their products and their business inside out, so we always felt confident in their advice. They really gave us a full, end-to-end service and went the extra mile. Our new kitchen was part of a complete home refurbishment, which required them to be particularly accommodating and work with other trades (including a petulant builder who they had to deal with on our behalf!) Vicky and Emma could not have been more welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable. They listened to and took time to understand what we wanted and needed from our kitchen, suggesting really innovative ways of maximising our very small space to make it work for us. We absolutely love our new kitchen, as does everyone who has seen it. I’m so happy we found a local business to work with, and a real bonus that it’s run by two women. This is my second kitchen bought from Funktional Kitchens, not because there was anything wrong with the first one but because I moved home and needed a new kitchen. I didn't think it was possible to improve on the kitchen I bought from them in my previous home but they did. The service from both Vicky and Emma was fabulous and the advice on layout and what would work in the space I had was invaluable. I was doing it on a budget and Vicky was able to give me cost saving tips while not compromising on quality. Ordering was seamless and post delivery service and liaison with my fitter was good. I love the end result and would highly recommend this company

Vicky and Emma at Funktional have been fab. And their fitter Tom was great too. Admittedly I did end up spending a bit more than I anticipated for the kitchen but the result is beyond my wildest expectations. I’m thrilled with it, as is my baker-extraordinaire wife. I was working to a budget but Vicky was amazingly pragmatic, helped get decisions made and was really professional and collaborative when working with my contractor. For example I sourced a pre owned oven and purchased my door handles separately to manage costs. Vicky was pragmatic in the sense she needed the details of what I’d sourced for measuring up while also being helpful in providing the numbers of drawers and door knobs so I could order in time for the fitter to install. The end result is lovely. The colour of the units is perfect; I love the style of door front too- a thin shaker. The mechanics feel well made, with a beautiful corner mechanism and strong-arm extending shelf. Highly recommend !!

Funktional Kitchens has provided a delightful kitchen and we are very pleased with the design process which was relaxed, informative and professional. FK provided numerous options for discussion and included 3D sketches to illustrate the concepts. Once we had settled on a design direction, FK advised on suitable fittings and appliances and evaluated the impacts of decisions against the original design budget. Communication with the team was very good and we appreciated the open discussions with no pressure to make early binding decisions. Minor site issues were resolved quickly to our satisfaction. We would have no hesitation in recommending Funktional Kitchens to future potential clients.

I am very pleased with my new kitchen from Funktional Kitchens. The service I received from both Vicky and Emma was excellent, from the initial designs and consultation meetings right through to the installation of the kitchen itself and a follow up visit from Vicky following completion of the work. I found them easy to work with and if I had a query or any concerns then I could give them a call or better still pop into their office in person as they are a local company. The builders (Ade & Darius) and the kitchen fitter (Tom) did a fantastic job especially as they were faced with the challenge of completing the work in a small flat. Well done to all !!

The whole process of our new kitchen was enjoyable, positive and educational! Like many people we had a good idea of what we wanted and what was achievable. Our eyes were opened to greater ideas and possibilities. We would never have achieved the design we finished with if left to our own devices. Vicky and Emma bring a wealth of experience and apply it with creativity and enthusiasm. Apart from anything else they are just so nice to deal with. Oh, I should mention that we are delighted with the quality of the end result and consider it great value. Highly recommended.

Thank you so much for helping us build the kitchen of our dreams. It is so beautiful and functional that we have received many compliments already. The cabinets provide plenty of space and the colour is just perfect in our open plan setting. The lights of the cabinets are just perfect and the bookshelf adds that roomy feel. So all in all, excellent result. Thank you for being so patient, cooperative and understanding throughout the process. Also, thanks for all the creative solutions to our wishes, without your advice it wouldn’t have been such a functional and aesthetically pleasing space.

I was very pleased with the experience, which I had been dreading. At the design stage, Vicky and Alison introduced me to many possibilities that I hadn't known about and were supportive throughout the process. The fitter (Adi) was very nice and, almost uniquely in my experience, actually turned up at the times he said he would and took every precaution to minimize disruption and dust. Even my strict building concierge was pleased with the way the team cleaned up at the end of each day. When the job was finished, Vicky came round to assess the result. She made many helpful suggestions to improve my use of the space and arranged to sort out any minor problems that remained. I would strongly recommend this company.

I was looking for a company who had designers who have practice experience of using kitchen. I was so pleased to find Funktional Kitchens. 3 women designers who understood how a kitchen should work in practice. So happy with the end result. Some small hiccups along the way which were always sorted quickly. The kitchen did take a bit longer than I expected but it all came together in the end. The kitchen looks amazing & Alison & Emma made sure the end result was exactly what I asked for & more.

We highly recommend Funktional Kitchens. We installed an entirely new kitchen as part of our house renovation, and our experience with the team and the service could not have been better. The design and fitting of our new kitchen was very professional, and the entire experience has been a very positive. We went to different kitchen providers before making any decision and Funktional Kitchens was the best one for us. Their communication was excellent. Each step of the process was well organised, and any questions were promptly answered by email or phone. They have a great selection of kitchen designs, but more importantly they provided a solution that fitted our needs. When we came to them, we had decided on our layout, but were unsure about the colour and materials we wanted. They really listened to what we said we wanted to achieve and then offered very good advice about both the aesthetics and practical matters. The arrangement of the cupboards they suggested was very thoughtful and based on the constraints of our space. We also appreciated their appliance suggestions, so that we ended up with a very good quality/price balance. Each stage of the fitting process also went very smoothly, and we were very impressed by how good each of the tradespeople was. The appointments were scheduled well in advance, and we were always sent a reminder prior to each appointment. Funktional Kitchens really provided an outstanding service.

Funktional kitchens were superb in creating this contemporary design feature based on our rudimentary specification of ‘a floating tv unit’ . Fantastic quality, great communication and impeccable service. A real gem of a company to deal with.

The kitchen was actually fitted a few months back but we only moved in recently. We'd had a very bad experience with another company that went bust. Alison and team were very understanding and helpful, all communication was very smooth and straightforward and we have a really beautiful well made kitchen now. After we move in we had a couple of very minor snags so they sent their fitter back who fixed everything. Would definitely recommend them.

We had a completely new kitchen fitted with worktop and some equipment. We found the team at Functional very helpful, and they didn't push us to go beyond our budget - which is important. They were helpful from beginning to end with as much help and advice as we needed and found creative solutions to some knotty problems. The kitchen itself is excellent and the fitter was extremely skilled, reliable and polite.

We met with Vicky, last Spring, and she just got me and what I wanted. She has given me the kitchen of my dreams, and I'm so grateful. This was the first time we'd had a new kitchen installed, and Alison and Emma were incredibly helpful from the start. They guided us through the project from start to finish, and were very supportive at each stage of the work, checking on progress throughout. Inevitably there are the occasional bumps in the road with so many different aspects to be completed, but Alison and Emma negotiated these with ease. On the actual design there was nothing 'off the shelf' about Funktional's approach - they really worked with us to find appropriate solutions and were always accommodating if we changed our minds about anything - we were never rushed into making decisions. They were also very helpful in providing documentation and answering any technical follow-up questions we had after the kitchen was complete. Highly recommended.

We're so pleased with our lovely new kitchen from Functional Kitchens - it's exactly what we were hoping for, and we really love cooking in it. Emma and Alison were so helpful and friendly, it made choosing our kitchen and appliances etc very easy and enjoyable. The choice of kitchens and appliances were great, and they were able to design a space that perfectly matched our ideas / expectations. After getting several quotes, we're very glad we decided to go with Funktional, to get the right balance of quality, cost and service - and to achieve some details that some other companies couldn't do.
