Annual boiler service. We’ve been using this company for several years due to reliability. Originally called out to replace a faulty boiler and we’ve stuck with them ever since. Boiler serviced today and fine tuned, identified a minor issue and booked a repair. Affordable price, very happy.

We first used G and A Ellis, to install a new oil boiler 2023. Finding them to be knowledgeable, personable, efficient, clean and tidy in their work. We have continued to have our boiler serviced yearly, by them.

New oil tank installed May 2025. Great. But soon afterwards, the watchman showed signs of a fault. Contacted on Nov 7 2025 and requested resolution of problem and informed by Andy Ellis that this would be sorted before the New Year. Come the New Year, still waiting. Several calls and messages later no response. Now into April 2026 and still no action. No communication. Nothing from this so-called trader who prides himself on good customer service. If this is the sort of aftercare service offered, perhaps you should consider an alternative installation service.

Our heating oil tank developed a leak and the boiler pump also. I actively searched for a local “Which trusted” approved and qualified engineer. Andy has been amazing, quickly responded with a temporary tank and pumped the oil across. Changed the boiler pump so we were safe and warm. He designed and laid a new base, conforming with latest requirements. Advised and ordered the new tank which he fitted with upgraded pipes and valves. A consummate professional throughout, tidy and thoughtful. Many thanks Andy for your hard work, a pleasure to meet you. ps This is why I seek “Which trusted” traders!

We required a new oil tank but had all sorts of complications due to where the old tank was situated and the base being non-regulation. From the word go, Andrew Ellis provided reassurance and continued to solve every issue as it arose. First class service, a fair price and the highest quality of work. Thoroughly recommended.

I moved to the Lincolnshire about a year and a half ago and was fearful of finding reliable people when I don’t know the area or people here but Andy & Martin have been superb during the numerous jobs that have cropped up during house renovations. Andy from G A Ellis came to our aid when a crack was discovered in our old oil tank. He came to see us very quickly and told us we need a new tank, where it could be sited etc. Although he was very busy with other jobs he promised he would do the job as quickly as possible. A written estimate arrived next day detailing all the work needed and the specifying the new tank. The work was carried out efficiently, accurately and without mess. All used material and the old tank was taken away. My wife and I are delighted with Andy's work who, is not only knowledgeable and industrious, but is a very pleasant and friendly individual. When our Oil Boiler broke beyond repair we were stressed, we didn’t know what we needed, what was the best option, the upheaval, time we’d be without heating, costs……The list was endless. Andrew came and carried out a site survey, and any concerns we had were gone! Our oil boiler heating pump failed on Sat. Emailed Andy Ellis on Sun, he ordered the part on Mon, it arrived on Tues and it was fitted it under guarantee on Wed am. Excellent and reliable service from both him and Martin.

Andy removed faulty tanks and installed a new double skin tank. Andy comes on the day he says he is coming (even came a day earlier) always keeps you informed (which is rare these days). Completes his work to a very high standard. Thoughtful to how his work blends with the property and leaves the property clean and tidy. Would highly recommend Andy.

We moved into our house @ 4months ago. We were aware before we purchased that the heating system still worked but was very old. Initially we were looking at a heat pump solution, but the company we were using started talking about a cascade of heat pumps and thus requiring planning permission. At this point I started looking for another solution. I have been a member of Which for 50 years and have used the trusted trader scheme in the past, all with good outcomes. Andrew visited the day after I rang him explaining our position. He did a thorough survey of the existing oil system. Apparent the pipe work etc was first rate, the boiler had been the Rolls Royce of boilers 25 years ago but was requiring a change but alarmingly we had a pressurised hot water cylinder that was badly corroded and hence dangerous and a 2500l single skinned oil tank sat on earth surrendered by trees. A possible environmental disaster in the making. Andrew changed the hot water tank the day after it was delivered. The new boiler the following week and the oil tank the week after that. We were not inconvenienced in anyway. Andrew and Martin did everything in the best and rightly way not the quickest. They were fun to have around and the cost was highly competitive. We needed a new heating system as our old one was on its last legs. Luckily, I stumbled across 'Which trusted traders' and found two local companies offering the required service. I emailed both on a Friday night and Andrew got in touch with me on the Saturday morning (Never heard anything back from the other company). Andrew surveyed the property just 48 hours later and gave us a very good quote, gave us an estimated start date and approximate completion time. The work was started on the date agreed and completed well within the timeframe given and to a very high standard. Martin (the engineer) was very organised, professional and caused minimal disruption. They even installed our new shower (which wasn't agreed initially) at a very competitive price and within the original timeframe agreed for the heating system alone. Overall, they fitted us a new heating system (new gas combi boiler and radiators) , removed/disposed of the old system and installed a new shower in just over 4 days with minimal disruption and to a very high standard. Very pleased with their workmanship, timekeeping and overall standard of the work carried out. Above all, their quote was significantly better than the cheapest quote I had got elsewhere. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. Big thumbs up to Andrew and Martin. Well done and thank you.

G & A Ellis Heating did a marvellous job of installing a new boiler, together with a thorough overhaul of the pumping and electrical control systems. All aspects of the job, from our initial enquiry through to completion, were handled promptly, professionally and efficiently. The work was done to a very high standard and was started and completed as scheduled and in budget. Andrew and Martin caused minimal disruption and were a pleasure to have in the house. The property is quite old and the boiler system and associated controls required a thorough overhaul. This was done thoughtfully and carefully so as to avoid unnecessary remedial work and cost. All in all a very satisfactory experience and I have no hesitation in recommending them.
