Lomers Removals

Lomers moved us from Surrey to Devon. It was a big move, requiring two large vehicles. Lomers did the packing for us over three days prior to the move and then completed the delivery in two days, including the drive to the West Country. They were calm, efficient and helpful throughout and made it the least stressful house move of three we have experienced. We have spotted just three very minor bits of damage which occurred in transit. Nothing to worry about. They were amongst the cheapest of the BAR removers who quoted for us, were available when we needed them (whereas others weren't because our sale completed at such a busy time of year) and more than lived up to the recommendation of a friend who had used them twice previously.

G.A Lomer provided us with a five star service for a three day move from Guildford to Norfolk. We could not have been more pleased. Everyone involved was unfailingly professional, friendly, polite and helpful.

We had another mover booked for our home move, who pulled out a week before the move. They recommended G A Lomer and sons. The quote was a lot more expensive than we were expected (over 2k for a 3-bed semi and garden shed and office, we’d paid £1,200 previously to move in), but we were tight on time and no one else we’d been recommended had availability. We asked for a discount and got it just under 2k, but still pricy. It seemed worth it though as they looked like a high end company and said they would collect boxes after - no caveats mentioned but I’m sure it was buried in the small print. The move itself was good - big vans, three friendly chaps each day and the move went smoothly. When I emailed to ask about getting the boxes collected, they didn’t reply for over a week. We needed them collecting to get more furniture delivered. I chased again after a week and was told thet didn’t have another available to collect the boxes and this service wasn’t guaranteed, that if I left them outside I would be charged for them and I could always return them myself (nearly an hours drive away and I’d need a van!). I replied saying this wasn’t great service and that I needed the space and I’ve not yet had a reply. Nearly 2k paid and that doesn’t cover the cost of the already used boxes. In short, the guys doing the move are great but the team behind them are only interested in taking your money - after that, they don’t care!

We used GA Lomer & Son Ltd for our house move, from start to finish and fantastic experience made especially easy by them. On the move day 3, very smartly dressed gentlemen turned up on the morning and were extremely polite. They worked extremely hard and loaded the whole van in what seemed no time at all. When we arrived at our new house the van was waiting for us, they couldn’t have been more helpful, completely considerate about the new house and new carpets. Nothing seemed too much trouble, they were even happy to move boxes from room to room if we made a mistake. I genuinely couldn’t rate them high enough. If we ever moved again we would definitely only use GA Lomer & Son Ltd. I would recommend them to anyone who want a fantastic service and a stress free move. They even came to collect the boxes once we had unpacked.

The title says it all. The two men who came to clear a relatives flat were efficient and friendly. There was an issue with a large piece of furniture, but they wouldn't be beaten and achieved its removal down the stairs without a scratch.

We used GA Lomer & Son Ltd to move us from Worthing on the South Coast all the way to Nottingham. Darren and his team were absolutely brilliant, we couldn't have wished for anything better. They arrived on time, packed us up carefully and smoothly, we were moved over three days as it was such a distance. They made sure we had what we needed for the first night and then returned early the following day to unpack their truck - they were respectful, attentive and knowledgeable - and great fun to have around for such a stressful move. I would highly recommend them for service and cost - they were competitive on price compared to the other quotes we received. We're so happy in our new home! We moved from Horsham to Wells. Plenty of boxes and packing paper supplied to us. Loaded on Thurs and moved to new property on the Friday. 4 men loaded us - on time, efficient and careful with our belongings. Made sure everything was on board. Left us plenty of time to clean up the house. Met us at new property the next day and unloaded after completion. 2 men managed this by early evening which meant they didn't have to sleep in the van overnight and complete on the next day which they had allowed for. No problems at all.

The crew turned up on time and were very friendly but efficient. They were also very sympathetic with my mum who is 83 and was moving from the family home to a retirement apartment. They were very careful and there was no damage to either properties or the goods moved. Very reasonably priced for the service provided, would recommend them to anyone
