The above says it all! 10 February was the first time Gary came to look at some wind damage to my garage roof. I was fully expecting him to say that I needed a new roof, as had been suggested by a roofer previously, which would have been at huge cost. Gary explained the options, one of which was to repair the damage with materials that would last for several years and he said he would try to find a colour match for what is an old roof. By the following day he had found this, gave me a very fair quote and completed the job the same day to an excelllent standard. In March, Gary came back to look at a small leak from the gutter on the main roof. He found the problem, which was due to an old but wrong connection, and suggested that as the external leak was very small, and occasional, it was not worth repairing. He also renewed the attachment of a small sun room to the main building, once again at a very acceptable price. On both occasions, Gary checked later for satisfaction. I can’t recommend him highly enough: he inspires confidence and is definitely my ‘go-to’ roofer. Thank you Trusted Traders.

Mr Cain looked at my roof and damp problem this morning ( mould in a high cupboard in my bedroom) and said it was condensation, not the roof. He gave me helpful advice to get rid of it and prevent a recurrence but no work was needed by him so no charge. Lovely to find someone so honest and I will certainly keep his number for any further problems.

Gary was excellent very easy to talk to and explained what the job involved doing which in my case was roof tile damage we agreed a price which was very good and he went the extra mile by removing a tile by the chimney stack and replaced the broken one with that one and putting the new back by the chimney stack out of site so that the roof looked uniformed I cannot recommend Gary enough 100%

Gary gave us an impeccable service. His communication from the offset was excellent, there was no faffing. He went through each step with photos of what was wrong and what needed doing. I would happily go back to him with any other problems and have no hesitation in recommending him.

I rang Gary and he called within 24 hours. Assessed the problem ( tile replacement and flashing on chimney stack ) He gave me a quote and quickly got to work. The quote was very reasonable and Gary completed the job efficiently. I will definitely keep his number on file. Highly recommended. Frank.

After past bad experiences with roofers, G. Cain roofing was recommended by a chartered surveyor friend of our son, Gary came out quickly and spent more than an hour assessing the job.He advised it needed a skilled joiner. Not a roofer.( despite other roofers having quoted huge amounts!!! ).There and then he phoned a joiner he has used regularly in his own home and outlined the job to him in detail.That joiner was on site within hours, assessed the job professionally and quoted a " realistic " price! We cannot speak more highly of Gary. He is gentlemanly, obviously scrupulously honest in his business dealings with customers and by his intervention we have achieved a more than satisfactory resolution to our problem. Truly well-satisfied customers to have found a gentleman and professional within a trade seemingly proliferated with charlatans! Thank you, Gary.

Knowing that replacing around 15 garage tiles would be a small job for any roofer Gary said he would call around and take a look. Within a couple of weeks, the job was done! Great reliable service, would recommend Gary.

Overnight problem with chimney fault. Rang G. Cain who came almost immediately. Saw what was wrong straight away and was able to effect repair there and then. Would recommend him to friends and family. Carol.

Gary turned up at short notice after heavy rains and leak in my kitchen roof. No charge for call-out and Gary made a full inspection of roof (together with photographic evidence). Remedial work advised and Gary was back within the week to complete the work. Excellent service. Would fully recommend.

The source of the problem was investigated , identified and corrected within five days of initial contact. Gary was very professional and enthusiastic, gave good advice and did only the work necessary, that is, removing vegetation around the chimneys causing water to accumulate. His use of before and after photographs was particularly good idea.

Had a problem trying to locate the source of a small amount of dampness around two external chimney stacks. Reading previous reviews I contacted Gary and he was quick to attend, took a look at the two chimney stacks and located the likely source of the problem. From the way Gary went about locating the likely source it was clear that he has both knowledge and experience. He was able to remedy the problem there and then which again demonstrates his professionalism. I would have no hesitation recommending Gary.

Had a leak around the chimney, which was coming in through the bedroom. Called G Cain Roofing and Gary popped round. Explained what he would do to repair the leak. Agreed on a price. Unfortunately what followed was quite a few days of rain, however as soon as it stopped Gary arrived did the fix, called me straight after, went through what he had done and had also fixed a couple of tiles whilst up there. Very honest, and gave me advice regarding some other repairs that are needed. Thank you.

Was told by neighbour that there were loose tiles on my roof. Rang G Cain who came out promptly. They went onto the roof and took photos of the issue, which they showed me whilst explaining the problem, how it had been caused and and how it would be repaired. Price quoted and agreed. Work completed immediately with photos taken to show what action had been undertaken. Completely happy with the work and service.

The roofer kept me updated when he was coming out and new his stuff. Very informative and took pictures to show and explained what he did.

Mr Cain repaired the window very easily. Offered to try to source replacement parts but, following discussion, we agreed that the repair he had completed was all that was needed. He did not charge us any call out fee or anything for his time. Really pleasant company to deal with. Would recommend to anyone looking for an honest, decent roofer.

A roof tile had slipped. Gary Gain came quickly, gave a good quote and within a couple of days the job was done. He was very friendly and polite.

I called Mr Cain to try get some roofing issues sorted. Seemed pleasant on the phone and said he would turn up that week to give me an idea of things. Called me the next week to apologise and said he’d turn up “today or tomorrow” but haven’t heard from him and it was last week he promised to turn up. Probably great when you get him but unfortunately I couldn’t.

I contacted Gary because of damp in a chimney breast affecting my lounge internal wall thinking roof work was needed. Gary came as promised, identified the issue immediately and the fact that the roof did not need unnecessary work and needless expense. He gave me clear advice and instructions on how solve the issue myself both inside and outside the house saving potentially a lot of outlay. He did not charge for coming to see the problem and advice. I was very impressed with his knowledge and trustworthiness in not undertaking unnecessary work. He is a pleasure to do business with and I will contact Gary in the summer for a different job needed. I would definitely recommend and use again.

Skylight window slipped out and rain was coming in from the big gap it created. Needed help asap. G Cain Roofing Services to the rescue. I couldn't recommend G Cain Roofing Services any more, no messing about, turned up when he said he would, didn't rip us off and did the job without any hassle. I have had issues in the past with roofers not turning up for the so called small jobs but this wasn't the case with G Cain Roofing Services, I am happy with the job and I will be using them again for sure, I will also be recommending them to friends and family.
