I was very pleased with the work done. Workmanship excellent, quality materials used. Gareth took care to fully understand the job, marked it out, checked with me an got on with it. Communication around the job was great.

Created a hidden gate with a fence line that was across my drive ports The gate is integrated well in to the fence line, if it wasn’t for the fresh colour of the wood, you wouldn’t know it was there. The lock used was a good solid lock choice. Left the keys through the letter box and did the whole job within a few hours. Perfect service in my opinion

We have had Gareth & his team round twice now for much-needed replacement & repairs to our rear garden fencing and work on the gravel path / drive at the front. Gareth is a pleasure to deal with and all the work has been completed to a high standard. In particular our fence is sturdy and weatherproof once more and the end of the garden has been transformed with trellises new rear gate. Definitely recommend!

Gareth did a brilliant job. He gave recommendations and suggestions when he came to provide a quote initially. He turned up when he said he would, he was quick and tidy and the quality of the workmanship is excellent. Not only did he provide advice but he listened to what we needed doing and worked to fit things within our budget. Would highly recommend for any landscaping/fencing jobs around Cambridge.

Gareth and Tom worked well the whole day. They had all the professional equipment to do the job, including uniform and protective safety wear. A date was arranged to suit my work schedule. I was totally involved in the process and given control over deciding how lower, higher, more, less etc I wanted it to be. Nothing was too much trouble, and this rare. They were mindful of the garden and cleared, and disposed of the large amount cut, leaving the garden exactly as it was found with no mess. Although the price quoted was higher than others, I cannot fault the professional service and result.

I have not had time to attend to my own garden in recent months, and with all the rain, it had become rampant. I asked Gareth and his team to cut back and shape the shrubs and cut the hedges, which they have done today and they now look as they should. (My only problem now is to get the rest of the garden to the same standard!) Gareth carefully checked what I needed done on each shrub and hedge, and consulted me again at a later stage to see that all was well. He and his team were very quick and effcient and they tidied up everything afterwards. All this at an affordable rate too. I would recommend Leaf and Lawn to all gardeners.

Gareth and team arrived on time and took down the old fence (20+ years old) and replaced it with a strong new one, including spurs for posts where needed. This took a lot of work and they were down to the underlying chalk in places. They managed to do this work without damaging the shrubs planted on either side.They also dealt with a fence-end at the front which had broken and replaced the vertical lath and strengthened it, and put new battens on some other fence panels where ivy had dug underneath them. The end result is a very robust looking fence which improves the garden a good deal and has pleased the neighbour, too. Gareth also trimmed a very overgrown euonymus bush which had been neglected for years, and it now looks exactly how it should - evergreen and ornamental. The team cleared up afterwards and left everything tidy. Excellent service all round.

Gareth came to replace a garden gate at my house. Communications before and during the work were exemplary - clear, helpful, polite and friendly. The new gate is sturdy and very well fitted and the work was done very efficiently and professionally. It is a 100% improvement on the old gate. He even sorted out another gate that was sticking! The cost was appropriate for the work and I have already requested him to come back for some other garden work. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Gareth immediately diagnosed what was happening and why, and he and his team replaced crucial structures in a way that was in keeping with the rest of the garden. They did this and 3 smaller jobs in a few hours, at an affordable rate, and left everything completely tidy. Very impressive as always.

Gareth and team have been to us twice now, to remove two trees that were threatening our neighbour's garage and the removal of a vast amount of foliage, holly and ivy weighing everything down. Gareth is full of enthusiasm and knows what he's doing. He also goes the extra mile to ensure customers are happy with the work. This is the second time I have hired Gareth. The most recent job was to cut down some particularly large, overgrown, prickly bushes at the front of my house which had got far too tall and completely out of hand. I found him to be reliable and he and Sam completed the job with efficiency, without nonsense and left the place neat and tidy. He even provided me with a cost-effective solution for a patio area to the rear of the hose. Very impressed with the attention given by Gareth. I have no hesitation in recommending him. it was a pleasure to meet him and Sam.

Our rear fence was collapsing inwards and the gate would no longer open. Communication with Gareth was swift and pleasant, and he popped round to give a quote quite soon after my initial call. He also pointed out that another panel in the side fence needed replacing. Gareth managed to fit us in sooner than expected, which was great. The team were lovely, really friendly and helpful, and did a good job on the fencing. I would definitely use Leaf and Lawn again.

This was a challenging job involving 1) pruning of high, heavy branches on three mature trees in a small walled garden, accessible only through my terraced house, and 2) re-levelling and cleaning of garden paving. It would have been easy to damage conservatory-style windows at basement and ground level immediately beneath the branches to be removed, as well as any of the three shared garden walls, and mirrors and woodwork both inside and outside the house. Street parking for disposal equipment also presented potential difficulties. However, the work was carried out by Gareth and co-workers Sam and Max with great care, skill and cheerfulness throughout a long and demanding day. Communication was excellent and they managed parking, access and my neighbours’ queries with perfect courtesy. The work was done four days after planning approval, to an excellent standard and at a very reasonable cost exactly as quoted. It was a pleasure having them around. Highly recommended. John Klinck

Whilst fixing my neighbours damaged fence Gareth and his team also reinforced a couple of my fence posts. All done very quickly, so I have had them back to do some work for me. They replaced a broken fence, in the same style as one that was already there, trimmed up an overhanging tree, and put a spur on another post. Everything was cleared away and the garden left looking clean and tidy. The work was done to a high quality, and at a good price. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone. They are a great bunch of chaps, very easy to get along with.

Gareth and his team were punctual, polite, and very knowledgeble. Despite the quotation being much bigger than had been anticipated, they managed to fit in all the extra work within a four day period. As a large tree was found growing right across one of the original boundary lines for the new fencing, Gareth helped me figure out the best approach to this, and to other issues. A decision was made to have the team remove this tree,and yes, it cost me a bit more, but I am so pleased with the completed fencing. Which were well built and carried out thoroughly to a very high professional standard. One to be proud of for many years to come. I would recommend Leaf and Lawn to anyone, and shall utilise this company again in future.

Gareth positively stood out from amongst the contractors I contacted for the work. Very friendly on the phone, flexible, offered a reasonable price. He showed up that day, did the work well, and I was able to ask him questions. He also helped me figure out the best approach to a few issues. Gareth and his team replaced two gates at my house - with the whole process from making an enquiry on this site to work completed within four days! Gareth provided a quote I was happy with very quickly and communication was great leading up to the job being completed. Arriving on site Gareth ran through with me his expectations of what the work would entail having made an initial inspection and thereafter everything proceeded at pace.
