COVID-19 Update

We are still undertaking boiler installations and servicing, servicing is very important to maintain the boiler and to make sure it is safe, the Government and Gas Safe Register are keen for us to maintain essential services and try to avoid hazards due to unserviced and dangerous appliances.
Servicing will be undertaken where safe distancing rules can be maintained, our engineer will use all necessary PPE and work to strict guidelines. If you are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 or shielding you MUST notify us before the visit.
All surfaces will be wiped with anti bacterial wipes after we are finished. We are relying on the customer playing their part in this to maintain our safety as well as yours. To make things easier for the engineer to avoid contact with you if you can leave a side/garage door open or a route to the boiler position that would be great, please advise us at the time of booking. We can also arrange payment via Bacs to avoid any unnecessary contact.

Replacement Combination boiler

I was looking to replace my combination boiler which was 20+ years old with something more efficient. I approached Gareth Williams Heating Limited in Newport as they were local to me and from reading reviews customers were extremely happy with them. Gareth arranged a house visit promptly and on the same day provided a quote, which I was happy with. A Valiant boiler was fitted within the week! and was carried out by Dan, assisted by Josh. The work was completed in a day with no mess left. The experience was a good one and would have no hesitation in recommending Gareth Williams Heating.

Tried to charge me for something they broke!

The engineer admitted he broke the control panel clip on boiler and now the control panel is loose/not secure. When I requested it be replaced, Gareth Williams wanted to charge me between £40-£50 and wouldn't replace it for free. I also asked them to ensure they replaced all the loft insulation to original place if moved, which they didn't and then I had to go in loft and put loft insulation into original place.

We are really sorry to hear this. In order to service a boiler correctly it needs to be stripped down and some old plastic parts are extremely brittle as we discussed. After we sent the initial quote for the replacement parts we did try and call you but unfortunately we got no answer. Please contact us an we will try and find a solution for you. Best regards. Moved into a house with a disconnected thermostat and then my timer gave up. Had no heating at night until Gareth installed new wireless thermostat. He arrived on time, was quick and left no mess. Was done in time for school run and now the house is warm!! Thanks Gareth.

Had old boiler & radiator removed for plastering & radiator & new boiler installed along with update of pipework around gas meter. Very neat job & very polite, helpful, hardworking & friendly installers. Wanted a neat & unobtrusive installation as boiler visible in small kitchen and installer took time & care to check & meet my location requirements & install boiler & pipework very neatly. Filling in of old flue & condensation pipe holes very neat.
