Mr Durant was polite and courteous. Upon meeting he made a thorough inspection and quote for the works which were required. He arrived when he said he would and the works were completed in a timely fashion. We will be using Des again in the future.

Punctual and tidy roof repair over front door

On 25 June 2018 a tile in the top row of the roof over our front door came loose and slid into the gutter. I phoned Des Durant to ask if he could fix it and give me a price. Des and his mate Jack came round right on time the following morning and gave me a quote which I accepted. With it being a relatively small job he could fit it in first thing the following morning. Again, Des and his mate Jack turned up right on time. As it turned out more than one tile had to be replaced in order to rebuild the join to the house wall. Because some bits are new on top of the old, the tile spacing and colour match are not perfect but are good enough and will weather. They tidied up after themselves. So, a good result; the company is to be recommended.

Des Durant attended our property which had a considerable water leak from the ridge tiles & valley. It was a extensive job on a 100 year building. He took care to explain the problem, and supported his examination with photo & laptop visual images. Des is a true professional with a caring nature. Moreover, he does the job properly, at a very fair cost. I have no problem in recommending him without hesitation and we have a builder that we can trust & rely on for the future.

I was very impressed with the work that Des Durant did for me. A leak over the bedroom window involved taking rendering back to the brick work when replacing and painting. All the work was carried out efficiently, keeping me informed at all times and keeping the site in a neat and tidy condition.

I have used Des Durant for many years - internal alterations, wall renovation, seven rooms skimming over artexing and putting up coving (4 more to go), many building jobs small and large. I don't approach other builders any more as he is always competitive pricewise and is professional and very trustworthy. His team are always nice people.
