GJP Floor Solutions is a local family-run company that supplies flooring solutions, including sanding services and the supply and fitting of wood and LVT (including Amticio) floors.
We work with domestic and commercial customers across Brighton, Hove, and Sussex.

Luke and Sam are a great partnership. Had them to sand and finish upstairs floors. Did such a good job, had them back to do downstairs. Then a third time to do a final room. Arrive on time, talked through the details and always open to adjustments / feedback on the fly. They're super tidy, respectful and work fast. Especially appreciate being able to iMessage them with questions, photos etc and they're always responsive. Wouldn't hesitate to have them back.

I found GJP Flooring online after a google search and was impressed with the reviews they'd received. After firing an enquiry over to them via their website I received a prompt reply with some extra questions. Soon after I received another email with some more information and asking for a visit to my house. When Luke came over to the house he answered all my questions and was polite and friendly. It turned out he had done some work next door which we had seen and liked. After initial discussions we decided to split the work into upstairs and downstairs which ended up working out really well. We were pencilled in, I paid a deposit and the work began, all within 3 weeks of my initial enquiry. There were a few problems with our existing floorboards but Luke explained everything to me and was sure to explain extra costs that would be incurred as a result. The work was done in the time agreed and whilst over the initial cost I still feel it was good value for money. The floors look fantastic and I'm really pleased with the work done. I will definitely be using them again when we do the upstairs of the house.

GJP Flooring were great from start to finish! The original consultation was done at a time to suit me after working hours and their quote was prompt and reasonable. Luke and Sam sanded my living room and hallway floors including filling gaps with pine fillets . They were clean, efficient and polite and did a lovely job - they even finished early which was a bonus. I would strongly recommend them.

This was my second time using GJP Flooring to restore hardwood floors in tenanted property. In both instances GJP have been great to deal with. Clear, timely communication, accurate quotes, reasonable pricing with work completed efficiently and to a very high standard. On this occasion I was working to a very tight schedule on a difficult refit. Glyn helpfully arranged for his team to work over a weekend to get the job completed. His team arrived on time at 8am and managed to get three costs applied in a day. Can't recommend these guys highly enough.

We have hired GJP Flooring to help us fix an old damaged floor that was always covered by carpets and not well cared for. They processed our case in a very timely manner, sent workers to our place only a week after 1st contact and kept us informed throughout. Marcus and Joe then came and fixed our floor with wood slithers, replaced broken floorboards and made sure everything was as tight as possible. Their communication was very professional and the work of a very high standard, which we were truly relieved by, as we did not know if our floors could be brought back to a good shape. To our surprise, after sanding and varnishing was done, we ended up with a magnificent living room, much better than what we expected. It gives the whole space a new life! We are very grateful to Glyn and his teams for the prompt response, the high quality craftsmanship and the utmost professionalism that they used to handle this job. Could not be happier with the results!

Whole service was great! Glyn kept in contact to book the job in and talked me through what they would do to my flat floors. Luke and Sam did an AMAZING job. It seemed an impossible task to return our old parquet walnut flooring to its original glory. There were missing wooden tiles, uneven surfaces and a brass dividing floor runner through the middle of the space. However the results were beyond our expectations. The GJP fitters were polite, hard working with a can do attitude. The care they took and the attention to detailing made the finished floor a triumph.

I highly recommend GJP Flooring. Glyn was immediately impressive by phoning me to discuss my plans and help guide me towards options for the best outcome. His quote was highly competitive but his communication was determinative. The work was undertaken by Luke and Sam and in the run up to the job Luke was in touch with me several times so he could arrange it so the work caused minimal disruption and could fit around children coming home from school early. The finish itself is transformative and he and Sam have achieved a great outcome: far better than we thought could be possible. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again, or to recommend them to others.

We had very tired original floor boards that brought the look and feel of the property down. I was going to carpet but decided to get quotes to have the floor boards sanded and refurbished. I spoke with Glyn at GJP flooring. I was sold right away, not because he did a sales job on me but because he was polite, professional and I felt I wanted to do business with him. I felt no obligation to accept the quote, it was the highest (not by much) but I felt confident in Glyn. On the day of the work the 2 man team arrived at 8am, they were brilliant, very professional and I am quite amazed at how hard they worked. They finished at 5pm. They did 2 double bedrooms and joining hallway. This included sanding back the horribly painted and stained floors and then 3 coats of varnish. A lot to achieve in 1 day. I cannot begin to express how amazing the floor now is, they guys ensured absolute perfection was achieved and they exceeded our expectations. The place looks unbelievable! It was spotless too because the clean up everything. Just WOW! The price was fair, comparable to high quality carpet to be fitted. However, this is way better. If you are thinking about getting your flooring renovated, dont hesitate. I highly recommend GJP flooring. Thank some much guys, you did an amazing job and we love it. We want you back to do the stairs now :)

We had a terrible experience with GJP Flooring and would strongly recommend avoiding them. We had several issues: A failure to identify a serious woodworm infestation meant that we had to redo their work and pay for additional remedial work to correct their mistakes. They claim their terms and conditions state that the client is responsible for identifying and treating any woodworm before work commences. They do not say this. They have also told us they are not in the business of treating woodworm so have no expertise in this area. Although they may not be experts, it seems reasonable to expect a company that restores wooden floors to be able to identify a serious woodworm infestation and make the customer aware of it. GJP uses sub-contractors. The team that undertook our work asked how much GJP were charging and told us they could offer a much better price for future work if we contacted them directly. This also means the customer service is bad because GJP try to pass responsibility onto their sub-contractor. The quality of workmanship was poor. Rather than replacing damaged boards with long sections of reclaimed boards, they used multiple small offcuts. The sanding and lacquering work was also uneven and badly done. Overall, a very bad experience.

The GJP flooring Company does something extraordinary to an old ordinary pine floor. They bring it up in quality and appearance to a very expensive beautiful even surface with no cracks or spaces between floorboards.The whole area feels solid. The work is done with no fuss or dust. I am amazed.

I am very happy with the work done by GJP. Glyn surveyed the floors and the quote provided was clear about what was included and any charges for additional work. Marcus and Joe arrived on time on the scheduled date and did a great job. They were flexible in that they completed the work over three days rather than the two scheduled, due to there being a bit more preparation work to do than expected (loose boards / large gaps etc.). Marcus kept me updated with progress and timings and both were very professional, efficient and respectful of my house and furniture. Thank you Marcus, Joe and Glyn

GJP did a fantastic job sanding and resealing our original pine floorboards, restoring them to their natural beauty. They also repaired a number of holes and large chunks which had been taken out, but are now barely visible. They were responsive, friendly, and flexible when we had to change dates. The quote was very reasonable. Highly recommend and we would go direct to them for any future works.

Luke and Sam did a brilliant good job. They sized up the task really well & carried out the work diligently & efficiently. They were also very considerate with the furniture moving which was really appreciated…I would say however sending two requests for payment before a working day has elapsed is a little irksome. We have now used GHP Floor Sanding on several occasions going back over a decade. They have always produced great results and have been really friendly and easy to deal with.
