I had an Ideal Icos boiler where the control board had failed, having only been replaced 18 months previously. Chris persuaded me to replace the boiler with a Baxi boiler and assured me that we would not have the same reliability problems with a Baxi boiler. He did not disclose that he only installs Baxi boilers. On the installation of the boiler, he specified the size of the boiler based on the existing boiler. He did not consider the size of the house, the number of radiators or the fact that we had a water softener. From day one, we had problems with the boiler. There was a gas leak. After 3 years, the heat exchanger failed. Baxi was called out to replace the heat exchanger. The Baxi engineer explained that the boiler was not suitable for houses like mine. In spite of the fact that the boiler was only 3 years old, he strongly advised replacing it. I took up the case with Baxi's head office. They tried to reassure me that their boilers were reliable and they extended the warranty a further 3 years. So I got them to replace the heat exchanger, and they eventually located the leak. One of the pipes had not been properly welded during the installation of the boiler. 2 years and 11 months later, the heat exchanger failed again. I emailed Chris asking why the boiler was repeatedly failing. However, all he would say was that he had not had issues with the heat exchanger on other boiler installations and that it was a matter for Baxi. All in all, not a great experience.

Used this company for several boiler services. Always friendly, courteous and fairly priced. Provide good advice. Highly recommend this company and I'll continue to use them for all boiler related issues and maintenance.

I booked my first annual Boiler service with Chris at Globe. Excellent communication, and very helpful. Shane came to service my boiler and was exceptional. Couldn’t have asked for a better service. Punctual, tidy, friendly and respectful to our house. Clearly very knowledgable about all the kings heating and plumbing. Received the completed report from Shane while he was here and I have no doubt that, if anything had been wrong, Shane would’ve done everything possible to fix it efficiently and affordably. Very impressed - see you next year.

I was pretty nervous about having work done to my house, unsure who to trust, who best to go with. From the initial inspection to the final moment of the job Chris and Shane were nothing but professional, friendly and respectful. They were confidence inspiring, happy to answer all my questions, accept my requests and lovely to have around. They're obviously highly knowledgeable and trustworthy and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again (in fact I will be, for my servicing).

My elderly fathers central heating boiler was recently condemned after its annul service. Being in his 90's and with colder weather fast approaching, we had to get it replaced quickly. We had used these guys previously for another family member and so it was really a no brainer. I phoned Chris out of the blue, explained the situation, and in just over an hour, yes, that quickly, he was at Dads. We had a quotation that evening, and the replacement boiler was fitted a week later. These guys are friendly, reliable, and very professional. Great service with a minimum of fuss. Oh, and Dad likes them, and trusts them which is just as important to me. They now look after two elderly family members that both live alone. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending these guys.

Had a new boiler fitted, the team at Globe Heating arrived on time, were very efficient and helpful. The job was completed in half the time I expected (3 hours). The whole team were happy to explain what was being done (I like to be kept updated). When they had finished the place was so clean you wouldn't have known they'd been. Thoroughly recommend them to anyone with heating problems. Oh and they didn't eat all the biscuits I left for them.

Globe heating were amazing. Our old boiler was removed and a new one fitted in a different part of the kitchen in 2 days. No mess, no fuss, no problems. All done on schedule and on budget. Chris, Shane and their apprentice Alfie were very friendly and a pleasure to have in the house. The price was very competitve.
