GLOW Electric Heat LTD

Probably the worst decision I ever made to have these installed. They are efficient but they drink electricity like it's going out of fashion. My electric bill has soared since they were installed, virtually impossible to alter the timer because it is so complicated. The company rely on QR codes for just about all the instructions for operation. I rue the day I ever let them enter my house. Seriously considering having them removed.

I asked Glow to give me a quote for Solar and battery. I had lots of questions that were being answered got the proposal and paid a deposit a day later. I had other quotes. Other price points. Paid the deposit on my credit card so I wasn't at all bothered about anything. Then I sat for a while and digested the whole experience and the answers I got, I did some more research and found some confusing statements from Glow. The things I thought about were. No roof survey was carried out. The proposal was for 12 panels. And if 12 don't fit you can have 10. And reduce the cost by £200 per panel. But we won't know yet. I have a chimney that casts a shadow, and optimisers were not advised, as they are prone to not lasting long. When every other company said you do need them. I asked for a battery to be installed in the attic, they did say the regulations may change but not as yet. Some other companies strongly advised against this. As best practice outside or in the garage..and that in the future it may become a standard requirement The proposal showed me generating a huge amount of solar. The roof pitch was wrong, all sorts of little bits didn't add up. The proposal seemed to try and maximise the payback on the investment. It wasn't a genuine story. All based on 12 panels. Long story goes on - refund... confirm 7 days. Came and went. went by. No reply, another 7 days. Not until I chased and chased to be told it wasn't processed. Over 3 weeks...

Just had solar fitted by glow electric. From Mark explaining what the company does giving us full confidence in trusting their expertise to Alec/Josh and Ben/Steve who carried out the work we can recommend them to others thinking of installing the panels. All these men are ably backed by Sebastian and his office staff needless to say we are very happy with the whole company who completed in the time stated and left site clean and tidy

From the beginning my dealings with this company were very good, the sales person who visited arrived on time and was very helpful without being pushy. I contacted Glow a few days later with a question after doing some research about the products and contacting other companies so that I could compare services and products, Glow came out best with both the quality of their products and services. My dealings with the office staff showed them to be very efficient, well informed and patient with my queries. Emma is a lovely person and was always very helpful, if she was not sure of anything she got the relevant person to make contact usually within a few minutes. I knew exactly what was involved with the process and each part of the system worked well, the scaffolders were very efficient and the roofers and electricians were all gentlemen, I had no qualms about having these people in and out of my home, they were all helpful and polite as well as being excellent at their jobs. I always knew what was happening and when we had a slight change as the electrician was off sick the day the roofers came but I was informed of this and a mutually convenient date was set for completion by the electrician which went ahead. The price I paid was very reasonable and the quality of the products was top class, the paperwork which had to be completed before I could change my tariff was completed the day after the work was finished so since then I have been self-sufficient, Marvellous company

Overall very pleased with the work carried out. The initial visit to discuss options was very knowledgeable and we decided to go with it there and then. The installation was delayed by a week due to waiting for G99 approval but we were informed. Work carried out on the day was all good, there was a concern by the roofer in getting all the panels on but he went above and beyond in order to get them on! The team were finished by 3pm. I was however quite worried when I didn't receive answers about the MCS certificate after multiple emails, however, eventually the certificate was received along with the other paperwork. I would be happy to recommend Glow Electric Heating to anyone, but some advice would be to keep the customer informed rather than relying on them to chase and get no response which leads to frustration.

Mark came to see me to discuss having solar panels fitted, he was informative, patient and designed a system specifically for my needs. Glow were very competitive with there pricing structure so I felt comfortable placing an order for a solar and battery system. The install went perfectly the team let me know what was happening at all times and worked extremely professionally to finish the job and tidied up as they went. WOW!! A wonderful company to deal with from the word go! The solar journey was daunting for us and we’d already had three quotations all telling us different things. Mark the salesman came and spent all evening with us making sure we understood everything and reassured us, from then on the process was flawless. We did have a bit of a wobbly when we got closer to our installation date as we had not heard anything, but there was no need to worry, the scaffolding went up 2 days before, the electrician contacted us to check if he could start their work the day before the roofers and then the roofers and the products turned up on the day of installation, everything ran smoothly, just like a fine-tuned machine. All the guys we dealt with were friendly and courteous. They did an amazing job which also looks truly professional. After installation we had a query regarding the solar app and paperwork and Emma, the Office Manager was readily available with any help she could provide. We are really pleased with the outcome and their workmanship and would have no hesitation in recommending Glow Electric Heat Ltd

The service from Glow was excellent from the time we met the salesman Howard to the time they All left after the installation. The workmen were so friendly and tidied up as they went along. All done in a Day, which was quite fantastic. The wiring from the panels to the equipment in the garage is so well hidden, and how they got it all down from the roof inside the house was a minor miracle, but then the workers are professional. I made final payment over the phone with Sebastian and he was another excellent guy to speak with. Being non computer literate I contacted a lady called Emma, she is the Office Manager, and like the rest of the team she too was excellent. Indeed I would say excellent +++. Hopefully anyone reading my Review will realise that Dorothy and I are very happy with Glow, indeed we have recommended them to 2 of our fiends in our Lane, who say they are going to get in touch. So glad to have chosen Glow Electric Heat for our installation of Solar panels and battery system. Mark was so helpful in explaining the whole process and we always felt that we were in safe hands. The installation team were brilliant, punctual, helpful and got everything done in 1 day,which amazed me. It was a minefield when we first went on the solar panel journey, so much to take in from a few companies, but so pleased to have committed to GLOW. Also Emma at the main office was very helpful as well.
