Go Green Systems Ltd are an MCS accredited, "Which? Local Business" award winning renewable energy company based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Specialising in the design, installation and maintenance of Solar PV Systems to both the home owner or business owner.

Go green supplied and installed a battery in 2024. To function fully the battery has to be calibrated correctly. This is done by the manufacturer. Last year we raised an issue with Go green that our battery was not charging correctly. Unfortunately, this was not resolved in 2025 and our 9.5kwh battery was typically reporting that it was fully charged when it had only taken in 2kwh. Go green had some initial success in addressing this issue but from October 25 they were not able to make progress. In January 2026 after much chasing of the manufacturer, by my wife, we obtained a checklist of things they wanted done before they would consider the issue. Go green completed the checklist spoke to the manufacturer and then said there was nothing more they could do. We were left to deal with the manufacturer. Fortunately a few days later the manufacturer agreed to recalibrate the battery which is now functioning as it should. I raised the fact that it had taken so long to get the battery working correctly with a Director of Go green. He maintained that Go green were merely the installer and if I said anything other than they were helpful throughout he would take legal action against me for damages.

Solar installation carried out By Go Green. Excellent service by a professional and expert team. Very adaptable when we discovered a problem with my roof which they worked around without issue. Follow up support has been good with a prompt and helpful answer to a query I had 2 years after the install. You can't go wrong with these guys.

Having requested quotes from three local companies, we chose GoGreen because of their thoroughness in responding to questions on their initial proposal including their their taking into account ethical considerations in their choice of panels. Having made our choice, we were fortunate that they had a spare installation slot only a month after we placed our order. The installation process took just over 2 ½ days and was straightforward. The installers were considerate and competent and the finished work looks good. Since commissioning, the panels have produced a decent amount of power (even in such a dull, wet September) and we are extremely pleased that we decided to have a battery installed as this allows us to top up the power we get from the sun with cheap overnight electricity. We did encounter a few teething problems with both the car charger and the charging setting on the battery but Colin from GoGreen came out and sorted out the former and then liaised with SolarEdge who remotely reprogrammed the battery to charge from the grid. Even though both the SolarEdge and MyEnergi apps are well designed, it would have been helpful to have received more on-the-spot help immediately the system was turned on, both to ensure that it was working as it should and that we knew how to get the best out of it. However, I would have no hesitation in advising others to install a solar system or in recommending GoGreen to do the work.

Latest activity was installation and commissioning of a Tesla Powerwall2, as an add of to the Solar Edge PV system they installed back in 2016. Despite Tesla delivery delays, the installation was complete to my satisfaction and inside the pre agreed budget. I had to pay a large deposit in advance, but this is one of few traders I will do that for.

Efficient, tidy (left the place better than it started!), on time. Knew what they were doing, and did it properly. These folks will probably not be the cheapest quote, but they will certainly do an unbeatable job, and I'd have them back in a heartbeat if I needed another system of any kind (this was a 5.4Kw Solar PV install on a domestic slate roofed garage). No sales BS, no attempts to sell me unnecessary or useless add ons, and one of the few companies who actually bothered to measure shading. Also helped with the FIT forms (all 20 pages). Just could not be bettered.

One hears some horror stories regarding overselling and sub standard work in regards to PV systems, none of this is true of Go Green. From first contact to completion and commissioning the experience has been great. Knowledgeable, skilled and professional are words to describe their service. The system was installed as described on time and on budget, The team worked extremely hard and completed the install as promised. I heartily recommend Go Green if you are considering a PV Solar system.

Big job for us - new ASHP and 42 solar panels, took a few weeks but all done well. Planning was thorough, the internal remedial works completed cleanly, then the outside work done with little disruption. No hard sell, just options with impartial advice as far as I could tell. Not the cheapest, but you tend to get what you pay for After sales support is great - warranty claim 3 years later dealt with very professionally

When I first contacted Go Green in October last year they weren't taking any further enquiries until the New Year. This was a good sign showing how busy and in demand they were. In January I spoke to Colin and received a few scenarios to consider. We had a number of further discussions and over the following weeks I gained the understanding of the best combination to go for. The price was competitive and with personal attention provided by Colin, it was easy to choose Go Green for the installation. The Go Green team spent three days preparing the roof for the sixteen solar panels and completing the AC and DC wiring. The addition of the Immersion Heater Controller was a good decision. The team were always prompt and courteous and provided information on where they were and what had to be done next. Go Green subcontracts the Scaffolding. They didn't arrive on time and appear to operate in a two day window. This is no reflection on Go Green and is out of their control.

Go Green Systems completed a 5kW solar system and SolarEdge battery installation for me in November last year. It was a long time coming because I kept on changing my mind as to when & how big the system was to be. They were always very patient and altered my quotes several times until I was happy with my choice. They completed an in-roof system to a very high standard and I’m extremely happy with how it’s working. The lads were professional and courteous. Tom always gave advice as and when needed. From the beginning everything was explained clearly and courteously, all paperwork fully in order. Installation was on time and to budget, great care being taken to make sure it looked right and caused no damage to existing structures (it was on a fairly old roof which itself was not perfectly square, so careful thinking was needed). Has now run better than predicted for over 10 years. I have always monitored its output carefully and can detect no deterioration in its performance. We’re delighted with it.

Solar panels were fitted to my roof 3 years ago. I had an honest and clearly explained survey with no attempt to oversell or fake discounts. The PV installation was painless with no disruption and completed as agreed, despite bad weather. The was a mistake with the inverter that was fitted, an easy mistake as it looked identical to the correct one, but the problem was diagnosed and corrected very quickly and without quibble and since then panels have exceeded the estimated output every year since. Not the cheapest, but I would recommend without hesitation.
