I had a problem with a misaligned front door and was let down by one of London's leading locksmith companies in sorting it out. I got Kevin's name as a recommendation from a friend, but you can still have a concern about the person and quality of work. I need not have worried, Kevin does what it says on the tin, he is "Good with Wood". He arrived at the agreed time with a colleague Gary. They put down protection, got on with the job and cleared up wood shavings etc., afterwards. The result is a perfectly aligned front door and the discovery of a trusted trader that I will both use again and recommend. Thanks Kevin and Gary - great to meet you both!

Kevin and his team at Good with Wood built a fitted wardrobe, some custom shelves and a custom surf shed for me. All elements look better than I had even hoped. The job was completed quickly and has provided me with so much more space in my flat. Highly recommended.

Can’t recommend Kevin enough - he did a fantastic job building a set of in built shelves and cupboard for my bathroom. He was professional, friendly and tidy, and the end product was of excellent quality. He communicated well from start to finish, making good recommendations to us as to the approach. Five stars!!

Kevin supplied and fitted a bench top, base unit and pipe boxing into a small utility room. It was an awkward space to work in but he did a fantastic job, very professional and all finished to a very high standard. He was very friendly and helpful and everything was left clean and tidy. Would certainly recommend.

I needed a carpenter and joiner to install new skirting boards and architrave in my living room following replastering work. I also needed some kitchen pipework boxing in. Having received less than satisfactory work from a previous tradesman, I was a little wary about employing someone again. I needn't have worried: Kevin responded very promptly to my request for help and was good enough to make a site visit the same day. His obvious knowledge and experience combined with a friendly manner were very reassuring. Prior to commencement of the works, Kevin kept me updated regarding materials, etc. On the day, he arrived promptly and worked solidly and tidily, involving me whenever an important decision was required. My little Victorian cottage is rather quirky, but Kevin always found a solution to whatever problem was encountered, and with good humour. Once the works were completed, Kevin cleaned up thoroughly and gave me some very useful tips on how to decorate the new installations. I would have no hesitation in recommending Kevin Brosnan to my family and friends.

I have no hesitation in recommending Kevin and the quality of his work. He is efficient, clean, tidy, happy to explain exactly what the work involves and great at keeping in contact. I had a distressing situation, when a water pipe had to be laid under my sitting room floor. Kevin came the same day as my call for help, advised how access holes would need to be cut into the large tongue and groove floor panels. True to his word, when he replaced the panels, none were unstable, which had been my greatest concern. The floor is rock solid. He was happy to work around the pipe laying schedule and came out at short notice to cut an additional access hole, when a gas pipe needed repair during the job. I am most grateful for all his work and getting my home back to normal as fast as possible.

Soon after I contacted Kevin, he phoned and made an appointment to visit my home. When he visited, he took measurements for each job and discussed the options. During our conversation, I felt that he was skilled, knowledgeable, and honest. Once we both were clear about the work that was needed to be carried out, an e-mail was sent to me by Kevin quoting the cost of each job and a rough estimate of the time for completion. No request was made for a deposit prior to the commencement of the work. However, he was paid at the end of each stage of the project. Kevin is a pleasant man, punctual and reliable. He took great care to protect and cause little disruption as possible in the areas he worked. He worked diligently throughout the brief and left the property clean, with little mess as possible at the end of each day. After the work was completed, I found a few minor problems which he happily rectified. Kevin took great pride and care to complete the work to a high standard. I was very pleased with my doors and cupboard. I would recommend him highly.

We had a problem with a back door that wouldn't lock properly. Kevin came round the next day after the call, diagnosed the problem, gace us a reasonable price and came back the following day with all the relevant parts and did a quick and efficient job which solved the problem. He kept me in touch with progress, was very responsive to texts etc. Overall a very professional and friendly approach. Recommended

It has been a pleasure commissioning Kevin to build two wardrobes in my house. When I contacted Kevin, he was prompt in his reply and my first impression of him, when he came to my house to take measurements, was good. He was very earnest in making sure that he got all the measurements right and discussed all the different options available to me. On the first day of building the wardrobes, he made sure that my floor was covered properly and was very careful to not damage anything. I was impressed with how hard Kevin worked and how dedicated he was. The wardrobes were made on schedule, within budget and they are beautiful! Kevin’s attention to detail has met my obsessive attention to detail - I think I have met my match!

Good With Wood’s Kevin Brosnan replaced rotting spindles in a porch rail and boxed in pipes and gaps round a boiler in a very difficult- to-access space. I found Kevin a very knowledgeable, highly skilled, experienced and efficient craftsman and an excellent communicator. The spindles were the original Edwardian ones and, having discussed the options, Kevin took care to find replacements in a style complementary to the original when I decided to avoid the expense of bespoke ones. The work round the boiler was particularly challenging and Kevin went to great lengths to find and execute a solution, always consulting and keeping me involved. Once we agreed the date for carrying out the work, Kevin arrived on time and worked tirelessly without a break, cleaning up thoroughly after the jobs were done. A bonus was that the final cost came in below the agreed estimate. I have no hesitation in recommending Kevin as a consummate professional.

Kevin did a neat and professional job installing a new fitted kitchen worktop with sink for me. He made helpful suggestions to avoid the water damage I'd had with the previous layout, and kept me informed about what was needed to finish the work. I appreciated his willingness to work around some unexpected problems getting access to the kitchen.

This is the second job we asked Kevin to do for us and we are glad we secured him. As before, Kevin was helpful throughout the planning stage and he gave us good advice about how to create useful space. He turned the job around very quickly and completed the work to a high standard. We are extremely happy with the result. As usual, Kevin worked flexibly around our diaries, he was quick and left the site in a clean and tidy condition. We couldn't recommend him highly enough.

In the lead up and planning stage, Kevin was attentive, easy to get hold of, and happy to contribute his opinions to our ideas - very welcome as we had never 'designed' fitted wardrobes before. During the work, Kevin was great, and worked flexibly around times that suited us. We are extremely happy with the finished product. The wardrobes look great and feel solid as a rock. I would recommend him unreservedly to anyone in need of a carpenter. We envisage a couple more jobs in the future and Kevin will be the first person we call.

Kevin made a window seat for us. After the site visit he arranged to come back the next day and completed the job. We wanted a few changes which again he did very quickly. It looks great and has been finished to a very high standard. We are very happy with it and would definitely recommend him.

Having previously used Kevin for some fitted wardrobes we had no hesitation in contacting him again when we wanted some more wardrobes/cupboards in another room. Yet again we found Kevin's workmanship and professionalism excellent and there was no problem leaving him with a key to come and go as he needed. I have happily recommended Kevin to several friends - which is something I wouldn't do unless I was totally happy.

Kevin did a number of carpentry jobs for us including hanging a new kitchen door, fixing new door handles and locks, creating an understaff cupboard and making good the end of a staircase. He did an excellent job. Kevin is a perfectionist (like me) and his work was of a high standard. I will definitely use Kevin again in future.

We needed our cupboard under the stairs redone and wood panelling in the hallway. Our house is a Victorian terrace and to be honest pretty wonky in places. Kevin did an excellent job and seamlessly integrated everything. He is a strong communicator and comes with lots of ideas. Wouldn’t hesitate to use him again or recommend him to others.

Kevin has completed the bookshelves that we required with precision suggesting improvements where necessary which has enhanced them and thus created an excellent addition to our sitting room. We are now able to house a large portion of our library.

We wanted some fitted wardrobes for our bedroom which includes a particularly awkward corner with a ceiling that has all sorts of odd angles. We contacted Kevin because of the quality of feedback he had received via Trusted Traders and from our first contact with him through to the completed project he has proved that this feedback is well justified. We are absolutely delighted with the wardrobes and drawers he has made and fitted, it has also been a pleasure having him working in the house. Going out and leaving him to get on with it was never a concern. Kevin pre-fabricated as much as he could in his own workshop so that the amount of work he had to do on site was reduced, therefore there was less sawdust etc. Any mess was well cleared up every day, and protective covers were put down on the hall & stair carpets. To say it again, we are delighted our wardrobes and in common with another reviewer have started looking round the house to see what else he could do for us !

I first used Kevin’s services some 15 months ago to fit some unusual bespoke fire doors in my flat together with fitting a heavy solid wood door and making adjustment to other existing doors. I was so impressed by his level of workmanship and attention to detail I did not hesitate to use him again recently to make and fit book shelving for me. Kevin backs up his craftmanship with good advice – it was he who solved a problem I was having on how to keep the fire doors closed, and he again advised on suitable veneers for my book shelving – and fixed a problem when complications with the support framework I installed for the shelving resulted in brackets being out of alignment. During both projects he kept me informed as when he would do the work, consulted me where decisions were to be made, protected my flat while working and always tided up afterwards. He takes pride in his work and, in my experience, is indeed Good with Wood.

Kevin was highly recommended by a mutual friend for a replacement wooden floor to be re-instated after a flood to the kitchen area and to reintegrate the white goods etc. He attended the property at short notice early in the morning to save any inconvenience to the tenants and provided me with a fully comprehensive, competitive, quotation within a few hours of the site visit. He later on that evening provisionally booked the job in within two weeks. Once on site he arrived timely and ensured that all existing carpets were fully protected before comencement of works. He carried out the job professionally and to the highest standards and kept me updated of progress throughout the day. All in all and extremely personable and professional first class tradesman. Would highly recommend and definitely use for any future projects. Excellent all round.
