Graham Maddock

Graham has done a superb job of working on areas of new lime plaster and modern plaster to create a lovely finish, including on some high areas, and areas where making sure edges were not smeared was difficult but important. He uses skill rather than masking tape. He also coped admirably with changes in instructions and was transparent throughout about timing and pricing. We will be having him back to do further work.

I read Graham’s reviews and decided to go with him. I’m very glad I did! He has done a lovely job and I wouldn’t hesitate to use his services again in future. He is very kind and helpful and so easy to get on with.

Graham quoted us to redecorate three bedrooms in competition with another Which trusted trader. He gained our confidence from the outset with his immediate grasp of what we wanted doing, and how we could arrange things and transfer furniture around so that he could complete the work in two mutually agreed visits. His price was around what we would have reasonably expected, and because of his knowledge, reviews and workload we did have to wait a few months for him to be able to fit us in. Notwithstanding the above, Graham started exactly when he said he would, kept to his advised quotation and was meticulously tidy in going about his work. His workmanship is faultless and he’s very personable to deal with. We have now booked him for later in the year to carry out further work. An altogether high quality trusted trader!

Graham did a very neat painting job and was very reliable and punctual, we are thrilled with how the painting turned out. Also very important Graham is very friendly and nice to have around the house, I have had a lot of tradesmen in the house and Graham is definitely stands out as a pleasure to have around! Graham quoted a price and kept to it. He turned up punctually at 8am every day and the job was finished on time. He was very meticulous and thorough and the quality of his work was first class. We last used Graham 10 years ago to decorate the whole house and when the time came for us to have more decorating done we wouldn't have gone anywhere else. Professional, competent and caring are suitable descriptions for Graham's workmanship and attitude, plus he's a pleasure to have around. We will use Graham again, without hesitation.

It was our first time of using Graham, having found him on Which Trusted Traders and we were not disappointed. Graham has just finished decorating 2 bedrooms, dining room, kitchen & hall stairs and landing. Having him in our house was a pleasure, he was friendly, very knowledgeable and gave us good advice on the best way forward, his communication was excellent and he left our house clean & tidy every day before leaving. Graham has totally transformed our house and we are very happy with the quality of the finish. We would highly recommend Graham and will definitely use him again.

Graham has just finished decorating the remaining two bedrooms upstairs, such that over the last 18 months he has fully re-decorated our 4 bed detached home. This time the work involved repairing a ceiling, stripping and re-papering two feature walls, emulsion to all other walls and ceilings, together with a total 12 internal doors to be painted in satinwood. All was completed in exactly the agreed timescale, to a first class finish and every day Graham fully cleared up. If you were to write down all the qualities you would like from a tradesman, Graham exhibits them all. Hardworking, punctual, great quality of work, fair prices and good communication. It says much about him that many customers, such as I, are repeat customers and he is frequently booked up months in advance. This is my second review of Graham's work and will sadly be my last as there is no more to decorate. I will miss my daily chats with Graham, which he did not allow to interrupt him working! We have engaged Graham's services several times; I believe this is the fourth or fifth time now. And every time, I promise to leave him a review and then don't get around, for which I apologise Graham! His is currently redoing our ceilings, hall and stairs and the gloss work and repainting our kitchen and dining room. He'll be finished next week. Previous jobs have included the bathrooms, main bedroom and the living room. He always does a superb job with meticulous attention to detail. If he encounters an issue, he'll talk us through our options and make suggestions, always with our best interests in mind. Communication is excellent, quality is excellent, price is very reasonable and he always leaves the place as livable as possible at the end of each day. Never had a problem with anything he's done for us.

This is the second time we have used Graham. If you want a professional decorator that takes pride in his work, who is on time, tidy, trustworthy, gives great decorating advice, and is a lovely person to have around, then look no further than Graham. He decorated our bedroom, lounge, and front door, and even got our doorbell to work again!!
