Great Breakdown Service
Had a home puncture and couldn't get the wheel off due to a damaged lock nut. Phoned Greenflag and explained the situation they sorted my problem out straight away. They kept me informed what time the technician would arrive which was on time, he was very helpful, informative and best of all friendly. Never in 20 years plus being with Greenflag have I used them, but oh my word what a fantastic service. Thank you

Had a split tyre on my motorbike. Didn't come to check like a certain other recovery company (a yellow one!) So wasn't left standing around all day(like the yellow one did!) Came out & recovered me & my bike home with no bother.

Bad communication but good recovery person

The communication is not great, due to someone on the phone assuming that because I had broken down in an industrial estate meant I was inside meant me, my 2 year old and my 3 month old baby were left in the cold, for 3 hours whilst waiting for recovery. I had to ring multiple times to chase this up, it wasn’t until I called them again that someone else realised that they had put down that I was in a house rather than out in the cold. The person who came to recover my car was great, and did call me to let me know when he was 20 minutes away. Had the correct details been taken in the first place and we were not left waiting we would have had a better experience unfortunately this was not the case.

Green Flag breakdown cover
The battery died on my car, I wasn't sat inside but my car locked down, with my house keys and purse locked inside. I rung Green Flag, Rhys the technician turned up within half hour, he was amazing. He was very reassuring and resourceful, although he was unable to unlock the door with his tools he was able to hook out my house keys, he then took me home to get my spare car key which had the barrel to bypass central locking. Back at the car, the door open, jump leads on and I was on my way to the garage within an hour. Green flag were also excellent whilst on the phone, very helpful, very positive and reassuring. What I thought would be a total nightmare was dealt with so promptly and professionally.

Arrived quicker then expected and before the expected time. First time having using my breakdown cover with my insurance and glad I chose yourselves. Both technician and Emma who I spoke with on the phone were very helpful and friendly and car was taken to a garage. I called at 6:11 and technician arrived by 6:47 so was very quick thankyou very much definitely feel reassured if I have to call you again!

Had a flat tyre and although I could remove the wheel nuts the wheel was frozen to the steel on the axle. I was not at home so couldn’t sort it myself especially as I was limited as to what I could do due to pending surgery. The Green Flag app was easy to use and call was received from the mechanic within 15 minutes of asking for help. I was kept appraised of arrival time and the job was sorted within 45 minutes. Very professional and friendly service. Highly recommend these guys.

My car had a puncture which I couldn’t repair due to the wheel nuts being too tight. The technician arrived half an hour earlier than promised, was really cheerful considering it was early in the morning and before he usually started work. The wheel was replaced with the spare in 10 minutes. Smiles all around and I cannot rate them any higher. Communication before and during was top-notch.

A1 fabulous service
We would never ever be without Greenflag and have been with them many years. My wife broke down and they were with her is a very short time, they put her mind at rest and explained everything thoroughly. She was fixed in no time and on her way with no stress whatsoever. Greenflag give you peace of mind and you can’t put a price on that.

Brilliant
One thing I must say, apparently I had two policies running ,and I did think it should have been picked up earlier . Same car ,same name,same address,why would I need two policies .?In my defence I had a stroke and my short term memory was affected , so I take full blame for this oversight ,but it could have picked up.

My daughter was planning to drive 100 miles home from university before Christmas when our car which she was driving was hit by a 3rd party destroying her drivers' side wing mirror and hence not legal to drive. She was unable to source a replacement locally and so-called Green Flag to help. GF attended but were unable to help her, other than by offering to accompany her to a local auto parts shop that she had already visited and had no stock. When she refused this, they made her sign a waiver that she would not call them out again for the same issue, and then just left her stranded. I called the helpline and asked them to propose a solution to either get the car roadworthy or arrange transport to a garage or home plus transport for my daughter, all of which are in theory provided by my level of cover. The call centre operator felt that this was excessive and just "for your convenience" but was unable to propose any other solution to get my daughter home. He promised a call back but one never came. Lone female left stranded by Green Flag. Will not be renewing.

I advised my breakdown and was directed to the Green Flag App. There it was straightforward and met exactly what I needed. The local garage sent someone within an hour. He was efficient and solved my problem very quickly. He did say if it was not electrical he would not be able to recover the vehicle but fortunately, it was electrical despite my having had a new battery only 6 months ago. I now appreciate that I need to use the vehicle régularly to prevent the problem. I consider the service I received to be excellent.

Misled and Let Down by Green Flag

I arranged a rescue to take my car (with a flat tyre) to a garage for a tyre change appointment two days later. Green Flag told me the garage was in their network and they could get the tyres replaced the same day. I agreed. But once the car was towed there, the garage said they had no such arrangement with Green Flag and my original booking still stood. Green Flag refused to help, and after hours on the phone, their only solution was to send me home in a taxi and leave my undrivable car behind at my own risk — or tow it back home and offer no further help. Completely unprofessional, poorly coordinated, and zero accountability. Very disappointed.
