Green Flag

9 text messages advising running late 1 phone call at 11.30 saying arrival 12.01 followed by text 20 seconds later advising 12.36. After 4.5 hour wait little van arrived to tell us about the problem we could already see for ourselves. He told us that as it was a bank holiday all garages closed so recovery to our home address was our only option. 4 hours later a recovery truck arrived. All the messages we received about delays showed that there was no coordination because the driver did not start his shift until 7pm. He had to drive to Newport, load his car on the truck, go to Bristol and drop his car off then come to us. Driver was a star but whoever was handling our call was a disaster. 11.5 hours last time we used Green Flag and 12.5 hours this time. No choice but to use them because of the size of our motor home. Obviously instructions to staff handling breakdowns is just keep advising delays of 1 to 1.5 hours. Dreadful service and constant miscommunication about rescue times.

Easy to use app to record my breakdown. Instant update on response time through text and app. Call from the technician who arrived much sooner than originally estimated. Friendly and efficient. Got straight to work on it and had me on the road again without any fuss. I especially liked that I was kept updated through the app and by phone and they knew what was needed before they got there. Very happy with this service.

Now used a few times. Always prompt, communication brilliant and operatives friendly and knowledgeable. Couldntask for more

Exemplary service. Very professional and understanding receptionist. Technician was extremely knowledgeable and excellent communicator. I cannot speak more highly of them. They should lead an advertising campaign for them !! As a customer I cannot praise them enough.

The mechanic was helpful, polite with good communication & knew ' his stuff'. He quickly worked out what was wrong with the car. It was a loose connection & he sorted it professionally. He was first rate. He was ' on my side' & wanted to help get my car going & he did get it back on the road. Everyone was amazed when I told them how quickly he sorted it. He was so helpful. Amazing!

I have used Green Flag for car and motorcycle breakdown cover several times over the last few decades, and I might have even have called them out once or twice. As I recall, everything seems to have worked satisfactorily using local breakdown services. The lower cost of the policy is a draw for sure, but they work at least as well as the other 2 main suppliers of breakdown services.

Although the app would not recognise my address, it was easy to book a specific time, although subsequently the appt was brought forward at GF's request. The technician was polite and did his best to solve the problem but indicated that the vehicle should be dealt with at a Ford specialist.

I am very happy with the job well done and advice the young man gave me. He was very friendly and helpful.

My car broke down and after a horrible pause where I was stranded on as busy A road it finally let me move it at 4 miles per hour to a side road where I called Green Flag. The call centre was easy to navigate, the call centre staff were friendly, professional and helpful. I received regular updates of where my break down driver was, and he arrived within the hour and took the car away to Stoneacre Hyde, who had sold it me three days earlier.

The Technician was extremely helpul super efficient & unbelievably knowledgeable. Got the car running & saved the day from disaster.

I’d heard about Green Flag being the most efficient breakdown company so decided to get a quote. Very surprised how cheap it is for all the cover I have. Very impressed.

After being told 1/2 hour wait…. I had phone call after phone call, saying it was going to be another hour before they sent help. My son had walked home from school and was waiting for me. If they had said 4 1/2 hours wait, I would’ve got a lift home and picked the car up the next day

I recently had to call green flag as my car wouldn't start when I was out. Lee the technician arrived in about 15 mins and I was kept informed about his arrival. He explained everything and after getting my car started followed me to the garage to make sure I got there. 5 star service and I highly recommend green flag.

Green flag have been called out twice to help us both times they were efficient and quick to solve our problems very friendly and helpful we learned more from them than the garage we bought the vehicle's from. Thank you.

Cheaper than other providers. Never had a bad experience with Green Flag, which made this an easy decision

My call was answered very quickly, I was kept updated by Green Flag on their nominated operator, D&G Assist and the D&G operator, Stephen, called to give me an ETA. The fault was a spurious fault code that was checked and cleared. I was up and running within 50 mins of my call to Green Flag. Excellent service.

Very easy to contact. Engineer called before arrival and was earlier than first expected. Very knowledgeable, easy to understand the issues. Fixed quickly. Was great to be back on the road without having to go to a garage.

I had a blown tyre explained I was on busy road in a dangerous spot and needed a tow to a garage for new tyre. Green flag sent a van after two hours with no towing facilities and could do nothing except park behind my vehicle to protect it from oncoming traffic. A green flag van came out whilst the sub contractor just stood about waiting for the towing facility. Green flag had located a garage with the tyre size needed but did NOT inform me of that. Got towed to garage just in time to get new tyre fitted.

Came quickly, was kept up to date with arrival times and could also see his location on the app Diagnosed issue immediately, checked car quickly but thoroughly Fixed on roadside. Paid for battery and not for labour meaning I had a professional service for less than a garage

I recommend everyone when buying car insurance to opt for Breakdown cover.Everything went very quickly and I am very satisfied with the service provided.

On Friday 5th April the battery warning light came on and approximately 30 miles later we lost all power. The Green Flag technician managed to restart the car and escorted us approximately one mile to our hotel car park. The technician told us that we’d be able call Green Flag again if the problem recurred on our return journey. We were extremely disappointed and frustrated to find this was not the case. Consequently I had to join the RAC and pay for emergency assistance to recover us from the M40.

I can't recomend Green Flag enough. Both the lady in the call centre & recovery mechanic was *brilliant*, I felt safe & secure from the call centre, who helped me to find my location. The recovery truck arrived 1 hour early than expected (being an elderly lady in remote area) I was put on priority. I can't praise the recovery driver enough, he was pleasant, helpful & efficient. Checked my car over before leaving me to continue my journey. Exallent service and 100% recomend to everyone. This was my first experience of being "stranded" Thank you to Green Flag & more so, your staff/contractors.

Had a flat battery (left the interior light on for a couple of days). I have a charger so went to open the bonnet but it wouldn't release. I was at home so I registered the rescue expecting a couple of hours wait. 20 minutes later, the technician arrived, fixed the bonnet problem, started the car up and was away. Amazingly fast and efficient service. So happy I swapped from the AA who I'd been with for years and were wanting to charge me over 3 x Green Flag's cost.

Greenflag organised the call out which happened quickly and the garage that attended sorted out the recovery. Can't fault their service.
