Green Man Stoves have been retailing and installing woodburning and multifuel solid fuel stoves, chimney lining systems and fireplaces for the past 20 years. We work in Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Forest of Dean, and Monmouthshire.

Very nice company to deal with. One man came to do the job, He came, took off his boots at the door, laid carpet protection down and used a hoover to keep the dust to a minimum. He cleaned out the entire stove, hoovered all the ash then did a full efficient sweep. He used a good full brush - (I've had other sweeps use a brush with barely any bristles). He was professional and informative - he was willing to explain and impart knowledge. After he left I noticed he'd run a polish cloth over the stove and the limestone hearth leaving it very neat and pretty- and - he'd cleaned the glass in the stove. Very good chimney sweep service

Green man stoves fitted a hearth beam for me. Very professional from the assistant in the store showing me options, to discussing different forms of beam, quotes for various beams and helpful when I asked questions. On choosing a detailed quote was sent so I knew exactly what I would be paying. An appointment for fitting was arranged promptly, emails to confirm date and time and reminders were sent which was very helpful. The fitters arrived promptly on the date and time agreed, respected my property, fitted the beam quickly and efficiently and showed me where the beam could be unscrewed from the fixing plate for decorating. Fitters very polite and friendly. On the whole an excellent experience

At my first enquiry I was given advice in order to minimise the cost of the work i.e. to combine a sweep with servicing needs. An operative was sent the very next day to undertake the work. We needed to replace our wood burner hearth stone and contacted Green Man as our trusted service and sweeping contractor. They gave great advice on material selection and were clear and informative about the fitting process and cost. Three dates were agreed, one for each stage of the work. Each date was met precisely, the work carried out tidily, politely, professionally and efficiently. No surprises, just excellent service and a perfect outcome that looks great. Paul arrived a few minutes after eleven and apologised. Since the appointment was for "around eleven," this was courteous. He worked quickly, tidily, and effectively on two stoves, in different rooms, leaving no mess and the rooms and hearths undisturbed. He communicated easily and quickly about the work required (and my small requests), answered any questions fluently, dealt with me telling him I would be elsewhere on site readily, and the work was completed in half an hour. Altogether, the level of service I have come to expect over the years from Green Man, the company, and staff.

This year was the third annual service by Green Man Stoves since we moved into our new house. We were new to a wood burning stove, and the guys who did the first service were incredibly helpful with advice and guidance. One small hiccup last year was dealt with quickly, professionally and very satisfactorily. Other than that, this year's annual service was again carried out extremely well and efficiently, this time by engineer Adam, arriving bang on time and leaving everything neat, clean and tidy. A feature of the service has been the "extra mile" advice and support provided, both by the visiting engineer as well as the office staff. Highly recommend

This is my annual chimney sweep and wood burner check, by Green Man. The appointment date and time was booked and confirmed some time ago, and checked the day prior to the work being done. The technician arrived on time, explained the work to be done, and completed the job with the absolute minimum of noise or any mess. As usual I was extremely pleased with the work. I received the invoice and the certificate later that day to my email address. Very good value, and a trusted service.

Green Man Stoves came and swept the chimney for a wood burning stove they installed about ten years ago. It was done on time - and we didn't have a specific budget, but the cost was in line with what it has been in previous years. Everything was left clean and tidy and the stove looked like new. We had helpful comments on the best local firewood traders too. We went with this company originally because they are local to us (within 3 miles) and we always use local traders if we can find them. They have proven consistently reliable, friendly, pleasant to work with, and very good at communication by phone or email or text. Plenty of reminders of the upcoming appointment. They aren't cheap and they could possibly review whether they are still in line with any competition.

Johnny the sweep arrived on time done a good job very polite and friendly, there were no issues and left everything clean and tidy. All documents were emailed straight away. I simply asked for a chimney sweep from Green Man Stoves because they fitted my stove. Two lovely guys Adam and Alan swept the chimney, then hoovered every nook of the grate out, they reopened the double front door and they cleaned the glass. To finish they put a black polish over the stove and left it looking lovely. They were knowledgeable, they explained why I was having problems and how to overcome them, they were happy to answer my questions. I absolutely couldn't fault these guys, Would recommend them to anyone
