There are four stages of getting major building works pre-planning, planning, the actual works and post-completion touches. We chose Grosvenor Builders and during each stage of the process we were guided through all aspects which included advice on optimisation budget, quality and comfort. We met with many prospective builders but finally decided to go with Grosvenor, despite a waiting time of over a year (which in itself was an indicator of quality). During the preplanning stages Fred was the only person who had a true ‘consultative approach’ and took detailed notes on what we wanted and possibilities based on our design. After we decided to go with Grovenor, we were constantly in touch with Fred who guided us on timings, helped with moving our stuff and set up the temporary kitchen. During the build stage, when actual works were taking place Dan and James were the best we could have asked for as they always had time to discuss and suggested options (we ended up getting an extra study room) – they actually became part of our family and now that they have left we actually miss have them around (they have an open invitation for lunch / dinner whenever they are working in the neighbourhood). Finally, post completion (and settlement) Fred has proactively been in touch for some ‘touches’ and optimisations which one comes across when newly constructed area is brought into use. I am a returning customer of this firm. Dan and James, with the some additional help, have completed a complete refurbishment of my kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms. The work was completed within the time frame to an extremely high standard. They arrived on time each day, where polite and considerate considering we were living in the property whilst the work was undertaken. This has been phase one of the refurbishment, phase two, the upstairs to be undertaken within the next few months.

Fred and this team did a great job with my bathroom refit including useful advice about the best products to buy to make the most of the space. The guys were punctual, friendly and professional and completed the work to an excellent standard. I’m really pleased with the finished bathroom. The team also completed a number of other small jobs to the same great standard.

We hired Grosvenor Builders to renovate our kitchen. This included structural work (knocking down an internal supporting wall, inserting steel beams, knocking down and rebuilding a stud wall) as well as laying new flooring with underfloor heating, assembling kitchen cabinets, new cupboard doors and new internal doors, electrical and plumbing work and painting. From quoting for the work to finishing the job, Fred and his team were extremely efficient, trustworthy and reliable. Fred project managed the whole process and kept us informed at all stages of the renovation. His team were courteous, tidy and hard working. If they thought something wasn't going to look right they informed us and talked through options. They always listened to our wants and did their best to accommodate us at all times, whilst completing the work to a very high standard. We have no hesitation in recommending Grosvenor Builders to anyone.

Grosvenor Builders did an excellent job of replacing our kitchen, stripping the whole area back to brick putting in steal supports, moving and building a new utility and wc and making good everything for new electrical, water and gas supply. They then built a new kitchen with a full set of appliances and finished everything to a high level of decoration. We had a really good experience with them with the work done to both budget and end expected timeframe but also with the flexibility to change and add things where we wanted as the project progressed. Losing the kitchen for a couple of months was always going to be difficult but the Grosvenor team built us a mini temporary kitchen to help and were very understanding and easy to live as they worked. They were always on the premises every day promptly until the work was done. I would recommend Grosvenor to anybody looking at a substantive kitchen rebuild and will happily go back as and when we have further building projects.

We started looking into several well rated builders in the area for a refurbishment of our entire newly purchased 1930's semi detached house and after speaking with Fred we felt the most comfortable to go ahead with Grosvenor Builders. Fred and and his team provided us with honest advice from the start of the project to finish. Dan and James were extremely supportive with any requests along the way and the workmanship was incredible throughout. Really talented and professional team of builders. Very happy with our new home and would 100% use Grosvenor Builders again for any future work that may come up.

We contracted Grosvenor Builders to refurbish the whole of the upstairs of our house, and the hall, dining and garden rooms downstairs. The work included electrical re-wiring, repair and plastering of walls and ceilings, fitting a new bathroom, carpentry, painting and laying amtico flooring. Fred and his team including Daniel, James, Ren and Ken, carried out the work in under 11 weeks (within the expected 12 week schedule) and to the agreed budget. Most importantly, the work was to the highest of standards. Throughout, there was positive and honest dialogue. Typically when they arrived in the mornings before going to work ourselves. This was really appreciated. It was an excellent way of keeping us updated of the progress of the work, including decisions we had to make and items we had to order, and of quickly highlighting, discussing and resolving any problems that occurred. The one misunderstanding was put right straight away without any fuss. Furthermore, the team were happy to make adjustments to the work at fair prices. In summary, Grosvenor builders have made our home a really nice place to live. Thank you.

Complete refurbishment of an older outdated kitchen, including stripping out all old fittings and appliances, redecorating, providing new ceiling lighting, installing all new cupboards, new splash backs and flooring, new cooker, hob, microwave, extractor, fridge, freezer, washing-up machine, testing, full safety and appliance checks. All carried out on schedule and to budget. Tidied-up and cleaned at the end of each day. All waste removed. Additional work undertaken while on site. Again completed as required.

We had a complete kitchen and utility room refit. We are absolutely delighted with the result. Daniel and James were a pleasure to have around and they have done a fabulous job. The whole process was superbly managed, carried out on time, within budget and leaving us stress free. We would thoroughly recommend Grosvenor Builders to anyone wanting a first class job. We identified Grosvenor Builders through the Which Trusted Trader register and required a professional high quality shower room & separate WC re-fit for a rental property. It had to provide durable, quality fittings and units, and be installed to a high standard. We required the works to be coordinated so as to cause the minimum of delay and disruption to tenants. Included in the works were the removal of the old bathroom and WC, removal of old tiles, re-plastering, installation of electrical services, tiling, installation of shower, basin and vanity unit and a towel rail. Also a separate WC, towel rail and hand basin. High quality flooring and decorating of walls, ceilings and woodwork were all carried out by Grosvenor builders. This was hassle-free one stop shoping. Grosvenor Builders kept us informed of preparations prior to the start of works and maintained contact with the tenants prior to the start of, and during the works. The job was started on time and completed within the agreed time. We were informed of progress on a daily basis. A site inspection confirmed the quality of work and attention to detail are excellent. We are very impressed with the works done and the courteous, friendly service provided.
