We are really pleased with the cloakroom refurbishment carried out for us bt Grosvenor builders. Fred obviously had a vision of what could be achieved, and it was. James and Dan took care of it all: finding the hot and cold water for the basin, fitting toilet and basin, boxing in and tiling so there are no ugly pipes showing, decorating, lighting, extractor fan and flooring. All done to a very high standard of workmanship and to schedule. I would recommend them.

Grosvenor Builders carried out the work to a very high standard with good attention to detail. Communication was excellent throughout the project and everyone involved was helpful and pleasant to work with. We are very happy with our new utility/shower room and will definitely ask Grosvenor Builders to return for future projects.

We had two quotes for this work from Which Trusted Traders. The quotes for labour costs were similar. We chose Grosvenor because the building and plumbing work would all be done by them (no separate builder involved), we liked Fred’s proposals for our difficult upstairs bathroom (narrow, sloping ceiling, cold and damp), and that he pointed out the need for Building Control for the downstairs cloakroom/shower. We are extremely impressed by the skills of Daniel and James who undertook the work. Plumbing, brick laying, plastering, tiling, flooring, carpentry, painting and electrical work were all perfect. They worked carefully ensuring that there was no mess to the rest of the house and always cleared up at the end of the day. They were punctual and reliable and so pleasant to deal with. They were interactive with new suggestions for design improvements and advice as the project progressed. We are delighted with the results. The upstairs bathroom is now a modern bathroom/wet room. The downstairs cloakroom/shower is like a Tardis – shower, toilet and washbasin fitted into an incredibly small space.

Fred and the team at Grosvenor Builders have just completed a rear extension for us. We are so pleased with the quality of work and the job finished on time and in budget. Previously we have used Grosvenor Builders to complete our loft conversion; followed by a bathroom conversion. We have the utmost trust in Fred, Dan and Jamie. Having used Grosvenor Builders a couple of years ago for our new bathroom we were happy to wait for a date when they could do our new kitchen and downstairs cloakroom. Grosvenor Builders first contract with us (bathroom refurbishment) was c.12 years ago and they have since built our side extension, created a new kitchen diner here, refurbished relative's kitchens, bathrooms and garage conversions - all to the same very high standard. They have just successfully completed a whole apartment refurbishment ( inc kitchen and bathrooms) for our nephew. The work was carried out the great care and attention by Dan and his sidekick James -who seem to improve with age! We knew we had to wait nearly a year for a start date ( which speaks volumes for Grosvenors well deserved reputation) but as ever it was worth the wait. It is very comforting to have Fred Dan and James etc working for us and you will too .

Worked with Grosvenor Builders and Howdens to design the new kitchen. Once agreed Grosvenor undertook full liaison with Howdens. Grosvenor undertook the complete removal of the old kitchen, re plaster, new electrics and altered plumbing, decorating and fitting of new kitchen and all appliances. Old kitchen, appliances etc all removed and taken away. The team were efficient and professional. Tided up every night before leaving. Would highly recommend Grosvenor such works.

Grosvenor Builders completely refurbished the kitchen while I continued to live in the property. Daniel and James were punctual, tidy workers. They are very personable and a pleasure to work with. There are four stages of getting major building works pre-planning, planning, the actual works and post-completion touches. We chose Grosvenor Builders and during each stage of the process we were guided through all aspects which included advice on optimisation budget, quality and comfort. We met with many prospective builders but finally decided to go with Grosvenor, despite a waiting time of over a year (which in itself was an indicator of quality). During the preplanning stages Fred was the only person who had a true ‘consultative approach’ and took detailed notes on what we wanted and possibilities based on our design. After we decided to go with Grovenor, we were constantly in touch with Fred who guided us on timings, helped with moving our stuff and set up the temporary kitchen. During the build stage, when actual works were taking place Dan and James were the best we could have asked for as they always had time to discuss and suggested options (we ended up getting an extra study room) – they actually became part of our family and now that they have left we actually miss have them around (they have an open invitation for lunch / dinner whenever they are working in the neighbourhood). Finally, post completion (and settlement) Fred has proactively been in touch for some ‘touches’ and optimisations which one comes across when newly constructed area is brought into use. We wholeheartedly recommend Grosvenor Builders and welcome newest members of our holiday card list.

I am a returning customer of this firm. Dan and James, with the some additional help, have completed a complete refurbishment of my kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms. The work was completed within the time frame to an extremely high standard. They arrived on time each day, where polite and considerate considering we were living in the property whilst the work was undertaken. This has been phase one of the refurbishment, phase two, the upstairs to be undertaken within the next few months.

Fred and this team did a great job with my bathroom refit including useful advice about the best products to buy to make the most of the space. We hired Grosvenor Builders to renovate our kitchen. This included structural work (knocking down an internal supporting wall, inserting steel beams, knocking down and rebuilding a stud wall) as well as laying new flooring with underfloor heating, assembling kitchen cabinets, new cupboard doors and new internal doors, electrical and plumbing work and painting. From quoting for the work to finishing the job, Fred and his team were extremely efficient, trustworthy and reliable. Fred project managed the whole process and kept us informed at all stages of the renovation. His team were courteous, tidy and hard working. If they thought something wasn't going to look right they informed us and talked through options. They always listened to our wants and did their best to accommodate us at all times, whilst completing the work to a very high standard. Grosvenor Builders did an excellent job of replacing our kitchen, stripping the whole area back to brick putting in steal supports, moving and building a new utility and wc and making good everything for new electrical, water and gas supply. They then built a new kitchen with a full set of appliances and finished everything to a high level of decoration. We had a really good experience with them with the work done to both budget and end expected timeframe but also with the flexibility to change and add things where we wanted as the project progressed. Losing the kitchen for a couple of months was always going to be difficult but the Grosvenor team built us a mini temporary kitchen to help and were very understanding and easy to live as they worked. They were always on the premises every day promptly until the work was done. I would recommend Grosvenor to anybody looking at a substantive kitchen rebuild and will happily go back as and when we have further building projects.

We started looking into several well rated builders in the area for a refurbishment of our entire newly purchased 1930's semi detached house and after speaking with Fred we felt the most comfortable to go ahead with Grosvenor Builders. Fred and and his team provided us with honest advice from the start of the project to finish. We contracted Grosvenor Builders to refurbish the whole of the upstairs of our house, and the hall, dining and garden rooms downstairs. The work included electrical re-wiring, repair and plastering of walls and ceilings, fitting a new bathroom, carpentry, painting and laying amtico flooring. Fred and his team including Daniel, James, Ren and Ken, carried out the work in under 11 weeks (within the expected 12 week schedule) and to the agreed budget. Most importantly, the work was to the highest of standards. Throughout, there was positive and honest dialogue. Typically when they arrived in the mornings before going to work ourselves. This was really appreciated. It was an excellent way of keeping us updated of the progress of the work, including decisions we had to make and items we had to order, and of quickly highlighting, discussing and resolving any problems that occurred. The one misunderstanding was put right straight away without any fuss. Furthermore, the team were happy to make adjustments to the work at fair prices. In summary, Grosvenor builders have made our home a really nice place to live. Thank you.

Complete refurbishment of an older outdated kitchen, including stripping out all old fittings and appliances, redecorating, providing new ceiling lighting, installing all new cupboards, new splash backs and flooring, new cooker, hob, microwave, extractor, fridge, freezer, washing-up machine, testing, full safety and appliance checks. All carried out on schedule and to budget. Tidied-up and cleaned at the end of each day. All waste removed. Additional work undertaken while on site. Again completed as required.

We identified Grosvenor Builders through the Which Trusted Trader register and required a professional high quality shower room & separate WC re-fit for a rental property. It had to provide durable, quality fittings and units, and be installed to a high standard. We required the works to be coordinated so as to cause the minimum of delay and disruption to tenants. Included in the works were the removal of the old bathroom and WC, removal of old tiles, re-plastering, installation of electrical services, tiling, installation of shower, basin and vanity unit and a towel rail. Also a separate WC, towel rail and hand basin. High quality flooring and decorating of walls, ceilings and woodwork were all carried out by Grosvenor builders. This was hassle-free one stop shoping. Grosvenor Builders kept us informed of preparations prior to the start of works and maintained contact with the tenants prior to the start of, and during the works. The job was started on time and completed within the agreed time. We were informed of progress on a daily basis. A site inspection confirmed the quality of work and attention to detail are excellent. We are very impressed with the works done and the courteous, friendly service provided.

This company are superb! We were very impressed by the fantastic way they carried out the work. They arrived on time every day and stayed until 4:30 pm each day, only leaving to buy items needed for our work. Polite, professional and punctual would sum up the way they worked and the advice we received about the colour schemes and materials was superb! Our bathroom looks fantastic and what's more, everything works exactly as it should-the shower is great, the bath is gorgeous and the under-floor heating makes the room toasty-warm! The boss explains things, understood our plans and wants!

Fred and his team completely transformed our 2 bedroom terraced house. they put in a new bathroom, new kitchen, new boiler, complete decoration with amtico floors throughout. Daniel and James did an amazing job over four weeks, completely transforming our kitchen in the process. Nothing was too much trouble and they were unfailingly courteous and friendly. Their work is of the highest standard and they have all the tools to match! They coped with everything seemingly effortlessly, from taking out a wall to laying a new Amtico floor. Excellent work from the team, we’re so happy with the results which were finished to a high standard. The work involved, amongst other things, removing an old bathroom from the back of the house (terrace) and then extending the kitchen through, removal of the chimney breast, vaultIng the ceiling, doors into the garden and installing new kitchen. Fred, Dan and James kept us informed throughout the build of any changes and were happy to chat through and price any extras we wanted. They set up a temporary kitchen in the dining room for us so we were never without a sink or washing machine throughout the whole build. Our old, very small dilapidated bathroom needed a complete refurbishment.
