Since 1928 Hadley & Ottaway has been a household name for removals, and in particular removals in Norwich. With 90 years experience, carrying out careful shipping, removals and storage services for some of the most discerning clients. No job is too big or too small for our team of expert removals staff.
At Hadley & Ottaway, everyone cares about your move. Many of the removals and office staff have been with the company for years and really understand just how important it is for removal companies to make sure that everything goes smoothly with your relocation. Our experience means that we can make moving home or office as seamless as possible, relieving you of any stress or worry during the moving period.
Our head office is based in the East Anglia region - this is the centre of operations as there is a dedicated training room, where new recruits and 'old hands' learn to pack delicate porcelain, barometers, grandfather clocks and pianos.

All aspects of H&O service was carried out with great efficiency. The crew Jordan, Joe, Alex, Clive were highly efficient, polite and friendly. Our 3 day move was made as stress free as possible by this crew. We would highly recommend H&O the best removal company we have ever used.

Hadley and Ottaway carried out our move from Kent to Norfolk over two days. Martin, Jordan and Ashley worked exceptionally hard in packing, loading, transporting and unloading our possessions including some very heavy items. Throughout they remained cheerful and professional to ensure our move went smoothly. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

From first contact to quotation visit, to carrying out the removals. Hadley & Ottaway were friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. We needed some flexibility over how many boxes vs larger items and this was no problem. I'm sure you may be able to find cheaper but when you consider your valuables being transported, knowing they will all get there in one piece is more important!

They arrived on the day, took instructions comprehensively but were prepared to ask questions and seek clarification during the course of loading. At the other end they unpacked efficiently, locating all packages where we wanted and also went the extra mile when asked rearranging loads when asked. Nothing was too much trouble.

Hadley & Ottaway packed us and moved us. They arrived at the agreed time on both days, and worked very efficiently. They were polite and endlessly helpful. We had no casualties or breakages in the move. Everything was carefully wrapped and sensibly packed, so it was easy to find things once we were in our new house. We’d used Hadley & Ottaway for a previous move, and would have no hesitation in recommending them. I would say we’d use them again ourselves, but we are most definitely never moving again!

I would highly recommend Hadley & Ottaway. From start to finish they were nothing but professional and their team of lads on the day of the move were just fabulous and put us at ease and actually made the move a really enjoyable experience. Having moved ourselves 4 times in the previous 2 years we know what hard, back braking work it is, so we were very happy for someone else to do it this time and so appreciative of them. Nothing was too much trouble and they took great care of our possessions and before they left even asked if we wanted anything moving from any of the rooms to somewhere else. Just brilliant, wish we had used them the previous 4 times! Amazing Team - Thank you.

We first used Hadley and Ottoway in May 2017, when they moved us from Downham Market to Watton. This time we moved from Watton to Little Fransham, so went straight to Hadley and Ottoway as they had provided an excellent service previously. They emptied out our old house very quickly, and then there was a wait until the keys were available in the new house. They waited without complaint, and finished the job off very quickly once we could get into the house. I would recommend them, and would use them again should the occasion arise.

A great moving experience from initial quotation to the moving day. We have moved quite a few times and the team that helped us on move day were perfect from start to finish. They turned up at the time quoted and set to work straight away, from start to finish everyone was very helpful, efficient and courteous. I'm sure that for most people moving day is a slightly stressful affair so to have such a good team working with you is incredibly good news. We were even contacted at the right time to arrange collection of the boxes and used wrapping materials. Should we move again we will definitely plan to use Hadley & Ottaway.

We interviewed numerous removal firms ahead of our move and we found that Hadley & Ottaway were the only ones that saw us and our lifetime collection of goods on a personal level, rather than just another household to move. They were extremely attentive to our concerns about the pianos, crystal, ornaments, artwork and various pieces of expensive furniture. Overall, as we were stressed out dealing with estate agents, solicitors and other agents, Hadley & Ottaway made it all a great experience. Not one we'd like to repeat on a regular basis but would certainly have no hesitation in contacting only Hadley & Ottaway directly should we ever have to move again.
