This company was excellent from start to finish. The assessment was honest and their communication good. The removals team were very good and very efficient and helpful. The company provided excellent value for money and I would use them again.

Moving house can be a very stressful experience, a key part of which is transporting your possessions safely and cost-effectively. It is critical that you pick a reliable firm to relieve the worries of doing so. I chose Hadley & Ottaway (H & O), based in Watton, Norfolk. Following a visit from Chris Howlett, Senior Sales Executive, I received a sensibly priced quotation for my family’s move. Based on Chris’ assessment of items to be moved I was provided with appropriate packing materials and details of the proposed move. Like so many moves competition can be difficult to predict and ensuring your movers can meet your completion date is extremely stressful. Darren and the office staff at H & O ensured we were able to move on time. Ross and a team of four were absolutely superb in moving us. Throughout the operation, they were exceptionally careful, thorough, happy to accept changes, quick and cheerful. No property was damaged. I thoroughly recommend Hadley & Ottaway, an excellent firm, to move you.

Our move was done on the two hottest days of the year. The crew worked tirelessly and uncomplainingly, particularly as the location of our house in Norwich meant everything had to be carried an extra 40 yards. Everything was delivered as requested and without any damage. There were several delays in the build up to the move, including a postponement and a late cancellation which cost us, but was obviously not the fault of the firm. The crew were helpful and pleasant throughout, and anxious to ‘get it right’, always asking if there was any doubt about where something was to go. On arrival at the new house, they had to wait nearly three hours while the estate agents managed to establish that the keys should be released. Again, they did this without complaint. We have no complaints whatsoever about the service Hadley and Ottaway provided.

Picked up the furniture on the Friday and delivered on the Monday afternoon. Very professional and courteous. Covered the floors with mats especially in our new place with cream carpets. Every time I emailed the office to keep them updated re exchange dates, they always replied quickly. We could not fit a large removal van on the road we were moving out of so they used a smaller van to transport our goods. Excellent service and a very competitive quote. Would recommend.

Hadley and Ottoway moved me into a two bed bungalow. They had to go in through the garage and via the narrow kitchen door. Nothing was too much trouble for them They covered the new carpet on the way in and also the door. Everything was done professionally, loading the lorry was no problem and they listened to where I wanted things put. Nice and friendly and very positive attitude. I was very pleased with their work. Everything was done to the agreed schedule and the preliminary meeting went well with good communication from the firm.

I can't recommend this removals company highly enough, from start to finish the service they provided was absolutely exceptional. Thanks to Chris you were so friendly and helpful when you visited to provide the quote, I can't praise you highly enough same goes to Kerrie, Darren and all the team. Thanks also to the team on move day you were absolute professionals nothing was too much, you helped reduce stress and couldn't have been more helpful. Despite late changes of move date and uncertainty of when the new-build would be completed, the 3-day house move, including packing, went as smoothly as possible. From the initial contact with Darren, through the necessary admin steps, to the move itself, everything was first class. The fact that the cost was the lowest of five quotes is a welcome added bonus.

We moved recently with Hadley & Ottaway and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They kept us informed of timings, the team on all four days were polite, professional , caring and respectful of our belongings and both our old and new property. They are not, as they admit, the cheapest removal company but neither are they the most expensive. You get what you pay for and we were thoroughly pleased and reassured with our choice. They even called to arrange collection of boxes and packing paper a few weeks later without us having to chase as w’eve done with other companies. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Hadley & Ottway recently moved my furniture and effects out of storage with them into my new home. I was given a clear idea of the cost of the job beforehand. My preferences as to the date and timing of the move were discussed in advance with their office staff, who dealt promptly with one or two queries of mine. Their crew arrived within the time frame supplied. The furniture and effects, which were in good condition, were carefully moved into my property. The firm's principle of asking people to return to them untorn paper wrapping on collection of their crates is, in my view, commendable.

From the first visit to give a quotation through to the last box taken into our new home we can only give the highest praise to all involved. These are true professionals who take immense pride in the job they do. Every person we dealt with was polite, professional, respectful and friendly and we are indebted to them for making an otherwise stressful life event so easy. The packing and dismantling/re-assembling service was faultless and so very helpful. Cannot thank them enough and totally recommend them to anyone moving to a new home.

Hadley & Ottaway is a removal and storage company that we would highly recommend. Arguably the best in the business... We enquired with a number of companies to move us from North Suffolk to Devon, but from the first introduction of Hadley & Ottaway by Chris, who visited us to quote, we were given an air of total professionalism, and this continued throughout the whole process. The Drivers / Furniture handlers, and of course, the Administration team in the office, so much care and attention to detail was present, and zero damage. The usual unexpected happened during the process of our sale and purchase, and Hadley & Ottaway adjusted to suit our needs at short notice, including moving us into their storage facility. With confidence, we can say this was by far the easiest and stress-free element of the move, and we were extremely grateful. 100% without hesitation, we would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Hadley and Ottaway are a removal and storage company that we would highly recommend as being one of the best in the business. They were a local company to us and we were only moving a few miles but from the first phone call to them and then Chris visiting us to provide a quote we were given an excellent professional service. This then continued throughout the whole process from the Drivers, Furniture Handlers and the Office support team and nothing was to much trouble for them. The move was all completed in one very busy day and a very professional company which I can highly recommend.

Really helpful and accommodating when our move date changed. Turned up early on move day and were professional and in good humour.
