Since 1928 Hadley & Ottaway has been a household name for removals, and in particular removals in Norwich. With 90 years experience, carrying out careful shipping, removals and storage services for some of the most discerning clients. No job is too big or too small for our team of expert removals staff.
At Hadley & Ottaway, everyone cares about your move. Many of the removals and office staff have been with the company for years and really understand just how important it is for removal companies to make sure that everything goes smoothly with your relocation. Our experience means that we can make moving home or office as seamless as possible, relieving you of any stress or worry during the moving period.
Our head office is based in the East Anglia region - this is the centre of operations as there is a dedicated training room, where new recruits and 'old hands' learn to pack delicate porcelain, barometers, grandfather clocks and pianos.

Arrived on time and made sure the carpets and front door were well protected. Were fast and efficient in moving all of our furniture into the lorry and were always happy to help or be patient as we were packing the final boxes. In our new home again they were fantastic, making sure everything was in the required rooms and not leaving until everything was put back together and we were happy. I would not hesitate in using Hadley & Ottaway again and would definitely recommend them to others. I was very grateful for the recommendation we had from a friend to use them in the first place!!

Their rep came to do the home assessment for a quotation. We chose them though they were not the cheapest, because the rep was informed, polite and attentive. On our moving days everything that was promised was delivered, staff were courteous and diligent.

From quotation to completion, the company were totally professional. The move was huge and took 4 days, three large trucks and a team of 5 lumping over 550 heavy boxes, plus furniture. They were amazing - always with a sense of humour - the team felt like part of the family. They reduced our huge stress factor to zero. Nothing was too much, nothing was broken and the secure packing was superb. We were sad to see them go after 4 days but would recommend them to everybody. 100% organisation without a single hitch. Amazing!

Hadley & Ottaway team, Luke & Ralph were engaged to move our home & unload the same day in the same town. They were cheerful & professional at all times & worked very hard. We were certainly not looking forward to leaving our very personal, unique, family home of 40 years, and dreading the experience. However, the Hadley & Ottaway team made what could have been a 'disaster day' into a much less stressful time than I could have ever imagined. They worked extremely well as a team, providing full support, advice and guidance as the day progressed. Their lively banter between the team members, and with ourselves, made it a much better experience and lifted our spirits immensely. Even when everything was loaded and we received bad news from our solicitors that clearance was still awaited to commence moving in to our new property the team provided support and, once given the go ahead, upped their 'team spirit, speed and efficiency' even more ensuring that we ended the day knowing it had been successful and had a bed to sleep in!! Many thanks to our team!!

Our move from a large house to a larger one spanned 3 days and required considerable planning.Throughout the process we were advised and supported by everyone we had contact with at Hadley&Ottaway, calls were always returned and nothing was left in doubt, which took a lot of the stress away from us.Really there is nothing I could say about our move that could be improved on, H & O know what they are doing so listen to their advice and follow it.For the service we received I also think H & O are reasonable on cost, the insured packing service for breakables is worth having. I would not hesitate to recommend Hadley and Ottaway or use them again in future.
